Resort Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & SPA

Our 8-day stay was wonderful. The food was extraordinary, and the rooms were both clean and well-appointed. The excellent soundproofing was a notable feature; we didn't hear any noise from neighboring rooms. The resort grounds are extensive, but the efficient golf cart shuttle service ensures quick and easy transport. The drinks were excellent, particularly at Va Pensiero. Antonino’s cocktails were truly world-class, and the panoramic view from the bar is simply breathtaking. We are already excited for our return next year!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at this beautiful Ressort. We booked here for our 82 years old mum. She received great support as she is not able to walk longer distances. Already from check in the customers relationship member Aneu assisted, also the other staff especially Guilia from the reception - who is speaking a perfect German - were very supportive and friendly and organized a ride with the golfcart from and to the room, the breakfast , the beach in short notice whenever needed. Mille Grazie also to the nice man, who‘s delivering the water to the rooms and picked up our mom spontaneously several times. It was a great stay and experience in this beautiful Ressort.

There is a lot to like: the setting is wonderful with many small beaches to enjoy and lovely pools too. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are well laid out.||A few recommendations for the management (in no particular order):||1. Charging 6 euros for water with dinner isn't great. It does feel like one is being fleeced.||2. The shampoo and body wash in the rooms is really horrid - cloying, hard to wash off and with a pretty nasty odour. An upgrade there would be a good idea!||3. The toasters at breakfast are not fit for purpose. It would be a good plan to replace them with a machine that does both sides of the bread.||4. It would be lovely not to be constantly asked what is one's room number. Three times every meal (and sometimes more) really is overkill and seems to happen for no good reason, even when asking for something non-chargeable.||5. It would be good also to have more variety of menu in the Nautilus Restaurant (especially for vegetarians). After a few days, it can get a biit samey to be given pretty much the same options (yes I know there are other restaurants but still!).||6. Finally - and this is the big one - you really must do something about the wi-fi. It is patchy at best and non-existent for long periods of time. It's an easy fix and has been mentioned by a few people already!||Just suggestions, other than that it's a nice place to stay!

It was a complete pleasure to stay at Hotel Erica for my honeymoon! The property is extremely unique and offers multiple beach front accesses that offer something different at each one. The staff is exceptional, always extremely kind, helpful, responsive, just truly lovely to meet each person we encountered. The food was truly amazing. I was expecting more resort style food which is usually non impressive but with each night the food, ambiance, and menus got better and better. While they are priced high, it is true restaurant service and quality and I enjoyed dining at each restaurant! My only criticism of the whole experience is really on the rooms/ general aesthetic. There needs to be significant update to rooms and sound of the grounds furniture so that it is viewed more 5 star. I did stay at the Erica part of the resort which is less new than Licciola but still would highly recommend investment into rooms, pools, furniture, etc throughout the property. Without a doubt this place is truly unique and extremely lovely, would still highly recommend!

Wow a truly memorable stay. We stayed at Capo d’Orso 3 years ago and Valle dell Erica/la Licciola beat it hands down. We want to return!||The hotel is large but rooms are spread out over a large area, so it feels very private (until meal times).|Excellent management- of the huge compound, staff, rooms.||Our room was large enough for a longer stay (we stayed 3 nights), bed was comfortable, everything works and toiletries is very good.||Food was excellent too (Grecale, Zini, Cuisini) there’s many restaurants that you won’t get bored and food was good quality and well prepared. The Live music at breakfast and the pool bar at night adds to the ambiance. Great. All restaurants have great views.||Staff was all very friendly, well trained, professional. Excellent.|2 private beaches, well serviced

I recently stayed at Valle del Erica and had mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, the pool area usually had available spots, which was great. However, the beach was quite windy on one side, so everyone flocked to the other side, making it very crowded. The beach itself is quite small, and it was really hard to find a lounge chair, especially under the sunshades. I ended up walking down to the beach multiple times during my stay, only to find no availability, which was frustrating. The food was another letdown. Being in Italy, I expected delicious cuisine, but the meals were almost tasteless, with barely any salt. The variety in the restaurants was good, but they all closed at roughly the same time in the afternoon, and if you wanted a snack, it was just mediocre sandwiches and burgers. Even the romantic dinner we had booked was not good at all—definitely not up to a five-star standard in my opinion. Also, keep in mind that the resort is huge, so you do a lot of walking. They do have buggies, but there are only a few, and you can't really book them in advance, which makes it tricky. The ways to the beach, bars, spa etc. are not very indicated very well. Overall, I think the hotel has a lot of room for improvement to truly deserve its five-star rating.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive and kidsfriendly, the beaches are beautiful and the food is actually the best we have had in a long time on a holiday. We are vegan and there were always delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner (the dinner options were just fantastic). It was all clearly labelled and there was even a vegan cake every evening. We were all sad to leave and we will definitely come back!

This resort is a perfect place to relax, chill and get away from busy city and work life. The food is superb here. Nautilus and in particular the BBQ nights are great and you can chose from various meats, such as quail, pork, quinea fowl, beef, Sea bass, sea bream etc, the list goes on, plus a decent buffet available inside, chefs cooking pasta and serving various fish such as Turbot, huge sea bass to name some. Breakfast is always top notch here as well, omelettes are lovely, and the smoothies made by Rachaelea (hopefully spelt right) are perfect. The Li Ciusoni restaurant you have to try, the food is great. The staff will throw leftovers out and within minutes Wild boar and foxes appear to take the food. It’s good fun to watch and part of the dining experience.|Never an issue getting a sunbed and you do not need to sneak down in the middle of the night to reserve. This is not that kind of place.|The place is huge and you will need to get a taxi to get around! which is free and it is not really a taxi so don’t worry, it is in fact an electric golf type of cart, quite nippy though and big shout out to Matteo for all the lifts – what a great guy he is. The views are fantastic from different points around the complex so get your phone cameras ready when in the taxi.|There are two parts to the hotel, Hotel Licciola which was opened I think 2014 and the original Erica built in the 80’s. We stayed in the Erica and we preferred this section, more of a rustic look where the new Licciola part is similar but looks a bit more more updated, particularly the reception, bar and Les Bouches restaurant. Food all pretty much the same as the Erica.|We spent a lot of time at Bar Captain Nemo and the pools just near there. The pools are generally quiet and lovely. Note that there are other pools such as the Spa (35 Euros pp for 2 hours) and in the Licciola part of the complex (swim up bar).|Big shout out to Thomas, Luigi, and Matilda at Bar Captain Nemo – fantastic customer service. Ichnusa was my favourite beer there and at 7 Euros for a bottle of beer is a touch pricey but all you have do is look around and realise where you are. There are other beers, such as Becks etc, priced 8 Euros.|One special mention is to the lovely Bianca who generally worked out of Nautilus and she recommended us Li Ciusoni where she actually waited on us when we dined there. If you go to the resort, look out for her, she is really good. We communicated by Google Translate which we all found rather funny. She is an asset to the business. |And one more, guest relationship manager Aneu is brilliant and also she is fluent in English, not many staff are by the way, but that did not bother us at all and after all we were visiting their country and respectfully we tried to get to grips with Italian, but back to Aneu be on the lookout for her, take her WhatsApp and she will sort and help anything for you. Aneu will go above and beyond for you.|Sardinia is beautiful and we will be back for sure. Don’t hesitate to book this resort if you are thinking of it and wanting to go to Sardinia.
