Kind organization of people this Center helps when my food is low, I can go every week if I like but I only go when it is needed, it some who need food worse than me, you can't be greedy is how I feel

The Resource Center continues to be a real resource that makes a substantial difference in the community that they humbly serve. They set the example by being an example of true agape.

Great place for some staple items, always something extra. The volunteers here are stellar. The wait time is a hit or "miss thing". Don't know what I'd have done or do,without your help. Thank you so much!

It’s a great place to volunteer your time. Come out and join us making breakfast and lunch, or working in the food pantry. We have a great time and enjoy visiting with the clients.

Yelp
Judging by the reviews it's obvious they have undergone some major changes prior to my joining because I have never felt more welcome, at home, or safe. Carolina really pushes for us clients, to make sure we are able to receive our medication hassle free and at no cost, Rene is compassionate, honest, and absolutely non-judgmental, same goes for Nancy, and Sonya, and the rest of the team. Then you have the hot meals program being ran by Erica, Matty, and Daniel who are pretty much the back bone of that entire program and it shows thru their work ethic, and dedication to this purpose. I could not imagine going anywhere else for my services, nor will I as long as I have the choice.

Yelp
As a long time client of the nutrition program and allowed to "shop" for groceries. On 22 November around 0930 I shopped and received a few groceries one item was pre-prepared meal I could put in my microwave to eat. I did so after arriving home. Subsequently I got extremely ill, I contacted my doctor who did testing which showed I had ECOLI POISONING. Over the Thanksgiving holiday which took time to accomplish. I advised the Texas State health department and as well the DRC. A gentleman suggested I try to get qualified for another agency program. Not once did I receive an apology. I'm an furious that the DRC can so be callous

Yelp
I went to Resource Center Dallas on Cedar Springs Rd. for an STD test a while back. The employees there were rude, unfriendly and unprofessional and I never even got my results! After getting there on time for my scheduled appointment I still waited over an hour and a half to be tested. They won't give you results of an STD test over the phone, you have to go back in person even just for a gonorrhea and chlamydia test which is all I was tested for. I understand getting HIV results in person but a gonorrhea test? I made my follow up appointment for results right after the test. The day before my follow up appointment I got a message from them cancelling my follow up appointment with some lame excuse that they had forgotten they were going to be closed the day of my appointment for some special thing they were having. I called them back twice and left messages to reschedule and they never bothered to call me back again. This was after I paid them for the test! Again, I never even got the results! I moved to Dallas from Los Angeles and thought the GL center would be similar, boy was I wrong. The Resource Center Dallas is a rinky dink tiny little old house that's been converted, with rude, unfriendly employees. The unfriendliness was the worst part of the experience. I will never go there again, what a joke that place was. I have no idea why they apparently hated me so much as I was nice and polite to them. Maybe I wasn't "gay acting" enough? Maybe they didn't like me because my address was in the north burbs? Maybe I was too old to be treated decently? I don't know all I can do is speculate, and never go there again. And, they don't even do anonymous HIV testing there, only "confidential". Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Anywhere is better than this place.

Yelp
Great place for HIV services such as referrals, lunch, food pantry, dental services, and testing. The Resource Center also provides various support groups which is a great way to make friends!
