Really enjoyed the place. Although it was a tard bit warm on the terrace for my liking, that’s mostly my preference. The view was lovely. What was a bit odd is that they stuck with paper napkins. Did not like that at all. Service was rather average. Nothing to complain, nothing to praise. My tartar trio was good with a range of the tuna one was really well made, the yellowtail did not even come close to the potential of the fish. The beef tartar represented the middle ground. My steak was good, but honestly for that price I expect excellence. And it was very far from that. Slightly uneven cooked, a tard too dry among other minor imperfections. Really enjoyed the youn carrots, fries and sauce were average. All in all the true is a good place, but absolutely not worth its money. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying a lot of money for food, but not for a simple “good”.

Amazing food and service! We got crunchy squid and shrimp salad as starters, followed by a seafood platter and a seabream which bones were removed and was seasoned on the spot. All were super fresh and carefully marinated. The desserts (choco mousse and cheesecake) were also delicious. They also had a surprise treat to each of us and great bread + butter. Overall highly recommended :)

This place is really a treat! Delicious food, great service and a fantastic view of the canal. I went with a group of 14. The staff quickly accommodated us on the tables outside and suggested getting the surf & turf platters. They were a great recommendation where we got the chance to try all the beasts, both terrestrial and aquatic.

From start to finish, this dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was superb — every bite bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. We opted for a mix of meat, fish, and seafood, and every dish was absolutely spot on. Each element showcased both creativity and precision, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation. The service was outstanding as well. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, contributing to a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. It’s rare to encounter such a seamless balance between culinary excellence and top-tier hospitality. Without exaggeration, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. I'm not a food expert by any means but it was the best food I've ever had. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We live and work in the UK so cost was not an issue. I will definitely visit again.

Outstanding seafood and a truly memorable dinner! We stumbled upon True in Gdansk spontaneously for dinner – and I can honestly say, I’ve probably never had seafood this good. Everything was on an absolutely top level: extremely fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere warm and stylish without feeling stiff. I almost never give 5 stars, but this experience truly deserved it. If there’s any minor deduction, it might be the price – but for the quality and overall experience, it’s more than justified. A real culinary highlight in Gdansk!

Everything about this restaurant is magnificent. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations. We ordered the surf and turf for 2 and it was so much food that we struggled to finish. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

It's a new, unique experience with one Michelin star ⭐️ Service: top-notch. The English of the waitress was the best I've heard. But maybe it's the chef's style; no sauce for the octopus or crab legs. Perhaps it's meant to taste the food directly without anything that could affect the taste. Good for a special event.
