Anne

"The Pavillon de la Reine, a magnificent residence in Place des Vosges, is named after Anne of Austria, Queen of France and wife of Louis XIII, who once lived here. In the restaurant, overseen by Mathieu Pacaud, the chef reinterprets classic dishes with skill and real talent, using top-quality ingredients which are full of flavour. An excellent dining experience awaits, whether you choose the intimate and romantic setting of the library lounge or, in fine weather, the lovely verdant courtyard garden." - Michelin Inspector

I can’t fault the food in this restaurant. Cooking is very competent and all of the food served were delicious. I think the service could be improved though. While the waiters were not rude, my partner and I found the service too formal and distant. I understand they have 1 Michelin star but we have been to similar restaurants where the service was way warmer. Additionally, they were very slow in serving the courses. We waited around 45 minutes for our main course which somehow killed our appetite. The interior of the restaurant also needs to be improved in terms of lighting. The courtyard was beautiful though (shame we had to go inside as it rained heavily).

We had the chef tasting menu. The staff was super friendly and asked us for our preference on the main dish. The sea bass tartare was outstanding and the flavour was complex. For main dish, we had the pigeon which was one of the best meat I’ve ever had. The chocolate soufflé was rich and creamy. Everything was perfect and the price is reasonable with its Michelin star.

Booked for Brunch at Anne restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is beautiful, quiet, with speakeasy vibe for the brunch area. The staff was very professional, and added to the great experience. Lastly the food : good selection of sweets and savory, all best tasteful. The St Jacques and the chocolate soufflet were delicious. I consider the brunch appropriately priced for the experience, and recommend for you to try it!

This is one of my best dinning experiences in Paris. I reserve for one person lunch and the staffs are very nice to chat with me, and explain the food nicely. The food is exceptional, every bite of the food , the flavor is so creative and special. The suggestions about wine is also very professional. The best is about he environment, because I was solo, the garden entry and chic interior make me relax and not bored at all. Will come back again with my family next time!

We had good experience for the food. The dishes are well prepared. The tasting menu is blanced and designed to bring the variety tastes from variety of the food types. The restaurant is sort of hiding in the hotel, and the hotel is not so obvious. The somke from the fire place which is outside the restaurant but in the hotel lobby blowed the smoke into the restaurant, and covered some of the food aroma. The table and chair are comfortable. The negative is the price was little bit higher, I would say it should be around 140 pp instead of 190.

Spectacular in every way. The service, the food and the atmosphere. One of the finest experiences I had during this trip to Paris. The service alone is well deserving of praise and acknowledgment. The staff were perfect in every way and complemented the magnificent four courses we were treated through for lunch.

#46 see my MichelinStarsChallenge Paris list Star within a luxurious boutique hotel The great thing here is that you’re in a very high end hôtel. The service is palace and high end hotel is always a notch higher than the average. I have an anecdote to demonstrate the dedication. We made a mistake when ordering. It was a small confusion, but it was on our end. At one point the dish arrives and my colleague realized it. They changed the dish. Without hesitation, without any discussion. Honestly, I would not have done it. But they did. The High end Michelin star restaurant have always a different atmosphere. It’s also always more cosmopolite. Their challenge (especially the one star, may be less the 2 and 3), is that they have to please every palates… An American palates is not like a Japanese, nor European, Asian, etc.. (I’ll explain one day). it’s a daunting task. The chef manages to ride this fine line and delivers a pleasing and refine cuisine. The crowd was definitely international and business. You can definitely have a casual lunch after a Marais visit outside, or a business meal or a romantic dinner in the library. Dress code/mood: smart international My experience: A great lunch where I was well taken care of and really isolated from the heavy crowd just a few meters away Update 2022: Went back one year and less than month after. As you can see the menu completely changed, both for lunch and à la carte (the pictures, menu and videos are directly online because for some reasons can not be added to this review). The difference with another 5 stars hotel one star restaurant is that it’s a “boutique “ hotel, so the restaurant has 8 tables, so it’s 16 clients maximum. The service is the service of a 5 stars hotel. The restaurant does deserve its star.

Our first dinner in Paris, Anne set the bar incredibly high! We ate in the library and our servers were spectacular from start to finish. It was an unforgettable experience with some of the best food we've ever enjoyed. So creative and always delicious from the amuse through to the special desserts. We thank you and we hope to be back some day.

Yelp
Fantastic meal in a beautiful setting! We had the multi-course lunch, which is pretty reasonably priced for a Michelin star restaurant, and we honestly enjoyed every dish we had. Standouts for me were the paella and the chocolate soufflé. Paired everything with a nice bottle of Bandol rosé, which was lovely. Service was as helpful as you can expect in Paris, though our server didn't speak much English. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
Excellent lunch from the starter to the desert. Had the gnocchi and chicken. Beautiful to look at in a lovely setting.
