"Top marks for the decor. Subdued lighting, romantic atmosphere, black lacquered walls and ceilings, stylised buddhas serve as a backdrop to a friendly Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. Despite there now being a number terraces extending down the winding lane as far as the picturesque cobbled square, it is imperative to book: the tables are snapped up very fast." - Michelin Inspector

Unfortunately, we didn't make a reservation in time, so we didn't get any of the four outdoor seats for two in the beautiful alley, which is a real plus in addition to the great food. I have symptomatic celiac disease and have to eat a gluten-free diet. That was possible here without any problems. There is an allergy menu and the waiters are well informed. I ate a super delicious starter nem pork, which was my absolute highlight. The pad thai was also delicious, but I would order a curry next time. No symptoms, even though I'm very sensitive. The crab chips are also gluten free. we'd love to come back.

I recently dined at Banh-Hoi in St. Tropez, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. After booking our reservation a month in advance and providing credit card authorization, my wife and I anticipated a pleasant evening in a prime spot within the restaurant. To our dismay, upon arrival, we were seated at the far end of the establishment, in an area that felt disconnected from the main dining experience. Despite there being available tables in more central and appealing parts of the restaurant, we were not offered the option to sit there. It became evident that the more desirable tables were reserved for younger patrons, specifically young women, which was disheartening and discriminatory. Adding to the discomfort, we were seated on different kinds of chairs than the rest of the diners, which only highlighted the disparity in treatment. This felt almost like discrimination, making us feel unwelcome and undervalued as guests. The staff's prioritization of certain guests over others based on appearance was not only unfair but also left a sour taste in our mouths. It was clear that our advance planning and anticipation were not valued. Given the prestigious reputation and the expectations we had, this experience was a major letdown. For a restaurant of Banh-Hoi's caliber, such treatment is unacceptable. I hope the management reevaluates their seating policies and ensures all guests are treated with the same level of respect and consideration in the future.

We love Asian food and eat it every chance we get. Unfortunately, Europe has very few Asian restaurants. We were delighted to find this one! We made reservations and were told they only had space inside. We always prefer to eat outside, but thought we would go anyway because we really wanted to have Asian. So glad we did!! The inside was air conditioned, nice atmosphere and good (calming) music. We LOVED having dinner inside this restaurant. We actually were glad we got sat inside as it was so much nicer (it was really hot out). Yes, the tables are close together. However, this is not uncommon in popular places in European restaurants. They simply want to be able to accommodate as many people as they can. That’s understandable. However, we did note that they did a fantastic job of spacing customers out. We never felt crowded in. The food! Oh the food!!!! We started with the raw shrimp rolls, which are actually Vietnamese spring/hand rolls. They were fresh and perfect flavor!! We also had the Shrimp papaya salad. Yum!! Fresh and full of flavor! For my entree, I had chicken curry. Excellent flavor and chicken was so tender. My partner had the stir fried shrimp in sweet and sour sauce. I’m usually not a fan of sweet/sour sauce, but this was excellent! We also had the stir friend vegetables. Again…fresh and full of flavor. We were recommended a white wine, which went perfect with our meal and was very good! We finished the meal with dessert. They did not disappoint. Apple fritters and mango ice cream in coconut soup. Both wonderful and not too sweet. Perfect flavor. The place is a little on the expensive side, but this is Saint Tropez, so….. I will say it is worth the splurge in price to have this wonderful Asian cuisine!

Wonderful starters and I recommend the Vietnam inspired Pork Ravioli (signature dish) and spring rolls. Cod green curry was a bit sweet for my taste but good.

Third time I’ve eaten here. Food is super tasty and it has the most wonderful atmosphere. Service can be a little curt, depending on who serves you but I know I’ll go again. I like it in there. Pricey - yes but it’s St Tropez right!!!!

Authentic Asian dishes in St. Tropez. We order the Pho and Lemongrass chicken soup with Pad Thai. The dishes were smaller than the usual American dishes but were full of flavors and just as authentic as having a bowl of pho in Vietnam or Pad Thai in Thailand. Would recommend.

Superb Restaurant in a quaint little street lined with tables, plants and lanterns. 💛 We were lucky to get a table without a reservation as we arrived just as the restaurant was opening and so glad we did. The food was great, the atmosphere was so nice and the staff were friendly. They had a few delicious vegetarian options and im sure it could also be made vegan if you ask. We ate the Pad Thai and can really recommend it.👌🏼 The tables are quite close together so it is a little cosy with other guests but this was not a problem for us. As the street is so pretty, lots of people were taking photos. Would return in a heartbeat next time we are in St Tropez (but make a reservation!!) ✨

Great Asian fusion cuisine in a lovely setting in the old town of ST. Staff is super friendly and helpful, food is great and quickly served. One of our favorite places in town - whether for a date night or a family dinner.

Yelp
Sometimes, when you're traveling and somehow get stuck at a random train station with NO direct way to Saint-Tropez, you get to your destination and absolutely need some comfort food. Banh-Hoi provides that and a departure from some of the other French places in the bustling area. I was surprised by how the flavors were there and that there was enough variety/accuracy between the different types of cuisines offered here. Next time I'm in Saint-Tropez and I need to mix it up, it'll be on my list.

Yelp
Really good and authentic food, the service is great, don't miss their store fry beef and the dim sums

Yelp
BanH-Hoï is such a Saint Tropez gem! The food and service was as good as it gets. This arguably was the best South East Asian food I've ever had. The pad thai was so clean and delicious it's hard to describe. It wasn't too sticky and heavy as some subpar Thai versions. Their crispy vegetables rolls where, so good I could have eaten that all night and been satisfied. They were made with some sort of filo dough that made them crispier than you could imagine. Thai soup with monkfish, lemongrass and coconut milk topped with rice was spectacular. Finally, their wine selection was as good as it gets in France and their price was so reasonable that I couldn't believe my eyes. The pinot noir was my favorite wine that we had. Highly recommend this spot. Also, the location is in the cutest part of Saint Tropez down this narrow walk street in the old part that opens up into this courtyard. Get a seat in the courtyard if you can.

Yelp
Lively little Vietnamese restaurant, in the heart of the old town in St. Tropez. Its located in a quiet side street, not far from La Ponche. The staff were terrific, & very attentive. The menu was exciting, with a good selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes, while the wine list was broad enough to suit everyone's tastes. The food is delicious, & authentic. We loved everything, from the Nems to the grilled beef! Highly recommend, & encourage all to go!

Yelp
Phenomenal place. Some of the best Thai/Indo food we've tasted. A true Saint Tropez gem and the owners couldn't be nicer. We need more spots like this. If I could go back I would want to try every item on the menu.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a great atmosphere, very very friendly, professional and attentive staff and a terrific selection of Thai and Vietnamese food. A bit pricy but worth the money ( only the cucumber makis seems to be really a bit overpriced) We went there with 3 children without having a reservation and felt really welcomed by the great team. Good selection of vegetarian choices. We had a great dinner and can fully recommend that place. Thanks for the nice evening.

Yelp
Excellent mix of Vietnamese and Thai. The Nems pork spring roll with lettuce wraps, mint, and fish sauce are fabulous.
