Restaurant Bierlialp

Had a group of 9, they were very kind to let us in with no fuss when we didn’t have a booking. Food came out super quick and was really nice. Chardonnay was exceptional. Can recommend the pizzas and the broccoli creamed pasta. None of the pastas come with meat though sadly. Beware that the tap water is £7..! Otherwise lovely place and would be back.

spare ribs were tender and fall of the bone!!🤤🤤 the angus steak however, was very chewy and not seared/cooked well. the coleslaw also tasted old from the fridge

Definitely a nice steakhouse/restaurant. We stopped in here on a Saturday night, not too busy. The restaurant had a romantic/chill vibe to it. Staff were friendly and service was fast, food was delicious and flavorful, it checked all the boxes. The only thing is the prices. I know it’s Switzerland and stuff costs more, but I felt the prices could’ve been cheaper for what we got. But overall great experience

Delicious tomato soup and Italian pizza. The best we had in Switzerland in many years! Very kind and attentive. A corner of joy and taste.

Went here as per local’s recommendation…. Tina was amazing throughout the dining. She was polite, patient, kind, professional and engaging. She answered my questions and provided enough details to help me decide. She even clicked those pics for me with all smiles. (SHE DID NOT SMILE FOR TIPS) As per Tina’s recommendation I chose “Grilled Tzigoiner Skewer with marinated beef Paillard and bacon” Loved the salty bland skewer wrapped in salty bacon with BBQ sauce and ofcourse with a blink of an eye Tina brought the chilli flakes I asked for 😉 Interesting and honest detailing on the menu. They did NOT charge me for warm water. #EngelbergDinner

It is always a pleasure to have dinner at the Bierlialp. The food is awesome, meet or pizza and Mariano makes it alsways feeling coming home. Just great

Highly recommended. Welcoming atmosphere and the spirit of Italy from the first step you enter inside. Cosy design. As you eat you can observe the flame in the oven and the fascinating creative process of the cooks. Very attentive, elegant and friendly waiters. Quick service. Great attitude to kids, their food arrived really fast. Excellent pizza and pasta. Original meat dishes. Delicious desserts.

Nice place. Pizza was very good and the steak was good. It was crowded, and the server was really busy, but our orders came out fairly quickly and the food was good.

Loved this little place on the Dorfstrasse! Offers cozy inside dining and also outdoor. GREAT wine list, exceptional service, and "decent" pizza. I wanted a light dinner and opted for a green salad and pizza margarita with pepperiochino accompanied with a nice glass of Italian red wine. Wonderful

I love this place!!! Especially their sausage with veal, definitely a must try in Engelberg area. Also their tomato soup was nice to have on a late snowy night here in Switzerland. Their service is good as well.

This place has a new name and we ended up here as it was the only place that had an empty table and I am glad. The pizza I ordered was excellent and the salad bar was nice. Just a tip finding vegetables in most restaurants in town is like looking for a needle in a haystack so a salad bar is welcome addition but unfortunately there is a lot of dressing on most salads and that is the downside. I would happily come back here and if you like spicy you cannot go wrong with the Diavolo pizza :-)

Since it was late afternoon not many places serving food in town. This place was serving pizza and salads only. Which were delicious!!! Clean! Cool interior as well as outside seating!

Pizza backed in a fire wood oven was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. I can highly recommend this place.

The guy doing the front reception is racist. I asked for a table for one and was told it wouldn't be possible all night, too busy (this was at 7pm). Three other people just walked in and were told they could have a table soon moments before. Can't comment on the quality of their food, as they wouldn't serve me.

Nice decor, food was ok. Very over priced. For the price they charge you think they would give you some bread/rolls on the table. $50 entree doesn't include a salad... We ordered a bottle of wine by pointing to it on the menu. (Menu was in German) Waitress brought us a much more expensive bottle that we were surprised with when we got the check. After eating she cleared some of the dirty plates and we sat there for 30 minutes wanting coffee and dessert. After getting her attention she cleaned off the rest of the table and vanished again. We decided to skip coffee and dessert and ask for the check. That's when were got the surprise of the more expensive wine along with mark up to Euros. All of the prices were listed in Francs, but they charge you in Euros at the price listed for Francs. I told the waitress that was not fair and we were not happy with the deception. She didn't care. Also, salad bar had bugs flying around it. Skip anything with shrimp... it smelled and tasted terrible.
