"The latest addition to the Maison Tirel-Guérin stable (established back in 1936) is this bistro firmly rooted in the current century, with its lovely choice of materials (light-coloured wood and exposed beams) and its bay windows that invite the light to flood in. The menu, overseen by the chef of the fine dining restaurant, features mouthwatering top-quality ingredients, such as poularde, foie gras and spider crab. The delicious farm-reared pork – grilled belly and a wafer-thin slice of andouille – was a particular hit with its delicious Roscoff onion jus." - Michelin Inspector

Great bargain for formula midi. 24 euros. Lovely main of chicken in a creamy sauce. Empanadas lovely would have been nice side to go with it. Lemon cheesecake a wee bit underwhelming. Nice wines by glass.

Wow and wow. Being guests of the hotel, we decided to try their bistro last night. And we were properly wowed. A boudin-type entrée paired with porcini mushrooms and cubed foie gras. Mains of a confit pork dish excellently slow-cooked in cider paired with stuffed-cabbage . And another mains of pan-seared scallops served with shredded Jerusalem artichoke cooked with shredded bacon. And we had a lovely ending of our meal with a deconstructed Black Forest dessert, and a citrus "tart". What an excellent meal.

My wifes 84th birthday. I am 86. We both still enjoy the pleasures of dining out, and find Bistro 1936 the perfect venue. Excellent food, service, and 'bonhomie'. We enjoyed our first ever visit to the hotel restaurant in 1989 on the recommendation of the hosts of our gite, and were delighted to see the opening of the bistro. Thank you to everyone.

Bonne expérience au bistro. Les entrées donnaient vraiment toutes envies. On sent que c’est frais et avec des produits locaux. La carte des boissons est partagée avec le gastronomique donc cher par rapport aux prix pratiqués au niveau des plats.
