Our best experience in Helsinki. We had the four course meal: extraordinary combination of flavors, beautifully presented. Service was great & each plates were well explained. Portion size were perfect, the bread & olive dip was to die for. We would highly recommend that place.

Bonafide was truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was fantastic. But the real star of the show was the food – absolutely innovative and bursting with flavor. Each dish was a delightful surprise, showcasing creativity and top-notch ingredients. Super tasty doesn't even begin to cover it! I highly recommend Bonafide to anyone looking for a memorable and delicious meal. Allergies and gluten free options were we’ll accommodate.

The restaurant offers a 4 course and a 6 course menu. The 6 course menu was 63 Euros at the time of this review (June 2025) and is well worth it. The dishes were made from predominantly local ingredients and felt refreshing on a summer’s day. Highlights for me were the catch of the day, which was a pike-perch seared crispy with a delicate flesh, and the olive oil flavoured ice cream. Delicious and fantastic value in my mind.

The restaurant was excellent. It is small and intimate but cosy. The 7 course menu was an excellent experience. The portions were just fine and the food was delicious. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made the evening special.

Today was Vappu, and instead of celebrating the traditional way (read: balloons, mead, and questionable park snacks), we embraced our middle-aged couple energy and went for a proper restaurant night instead. And let me tell you: Bona Fide was so freaking tasty it earned a rare 5/5 from me. Loved every bite. I only managed to snap a few pics because, honestly, the food disappeared faster than my camera could focus.

Amazing. The focus is on the vegetable and there were some fish dishes. The bread and olive oil mixed with dried olive were great. Service was friendly and attentive. I could be easily a regular here. Some wines from the hand written wine list are really reasonably priced. Overall a really great experience.

Compliments for the polenta with asparagus Uaohhh really delicious and also the olive oil ice cream was superb Unfortunately we were not convinced of the starter otherwise a 5 star restaurant

Innovative menu and friendly service. Unfortunately, the combination of flavour didn’t quite work for me but I recognise it came down to personal preferences. I also felt the food to be over seasoned and on the salty side. The wine list is interesting.
