What an experience! Every single bite was perfect. The menu is well balanced. They offer two 3 course menus but you can order single dishes from both; fantastic idea!!!! Local and seasonal ingredients show their best qualities with this innovative cuisine. The regional wines offered are a plus. Everything comes full circle when you add excellent service and a gorgeous riverfront restaurant.

Went there around 2 minths ago, unfortunately the food wasn’t up to my expectation. The appetizer, Fjordforelle, was the best out of the 3 dishes I tried. For main course, I had the 36-hour cooked pork belly, squid and peas. The meat of the belly was soft and well-seasoned but the skin was super chewy. It wasn’t crispy at all and that’s disappointing to me. The flavors overall was one note. For dessert, I had the donut with hibiscus sauce and blood orange. It was decent but not mind-blowing. The service was so-so. Overall, the price-performance was off.

While we enjoyed the food here, the service was disappointing. The servers were incredibly unwelcoming and one woman was actually surly when she cleared our table. The food was good, although slow in coming out. The view was fantastic. But who wants to eat at a restaurant where you feel unwelcome? We are always kind to restaurant servers and expect the same in return.

We had such an amazing time here for my mum's birthday! The food was great, our waiters were beyond attentive and "sympatisch" and the view was simply stunning. Extra brownie points because the restaurant allows dogs. I definitely want to come back, and maybe not just for a meal but for an overnight stay. Thank you everyone at Papa Rhein for making our day so lovely :)

Awesome decorated location at the river, very friendly staff! Unfortunately kitchen was closed when we arrived at 16:30.

Food is good, but don't come if you're hungry. Portions are tiny :-(

Wir waren zum Mittagessen dort und das Ambiente ist wirklich hervorragend – ein traumhafter Blick auf den Rhein und sehr stilvoll gestaltet. Das Essen war gehoben, kreativ und geschmacklich top. Der Service hingegen war für dieses Preisniveau enttäuschend: unfreundlich, wenig aufmerksam, vieles nur auf Nachfrage. Unser Tisch wurde nur halb abgeräumt, wir mussten lange warten und selbst beim Bezahlen ließ man uns über 10 Minuten sitzen, nachdem Rechnung und Kartengerät einfach wortlos hingestellt wurden. Beim Blick in andere Rezensionen zeigt sich leider, dass wir mit dieser Erfahrung nicht allein sind. Sehr schade – denn Küche und Ambiente hätten deutlich besseren Service verdient.
