Bricole truly lives up to its Michelin star rating! From start to finish, our dining experience here was exceptional. The dishes were expertly crafted and bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's culinary prowess. Despite its prestigious accolades, the ambiance at Bricole is refreshingly casual, allowing diners to relax and enjoy their meal without feeling overly formal. Personal favorites included the snow crab, cauliflower, and beef dishes – each one a culinary masterpiece. If you're looking for a memorable date night dining experience in a laid-back setting, Bricole is the place to be!

In short: all around great experience with minor drawbacks The food was in line with what you'd expect from a 1 star place. Especially the beef and the crab-cake starter were real highlights for us. However, some courses had clashing flavours were elements of the dish completely disappeared which was a bit disappointing to see. The portion sizes are also on the smaller side even for fine dining which was a little disappointing when you want to dig into something you enjoyed. Service was friendly and attentive but the whole experience took us 3.5hrs. It seems that all courses are served at the same time for all guests so if you come early you better have a lot of conversation topics.

The food here is excellent, and the wait staff was stellar. When I'm in Berlin again, this is the place I'll go to for dinner. Isabelle was my server and she was absolutely outstanding , great wine recommendations and a wealth of knowledge of the menu. The gilthead and Nebraska beef courses were absolutely out of this world . The mackerel dish was sadly quite fishy, and the dessert course was a little too sweet and didn't quite taste like a classic dessert, but other than that every other course was AMAZING. I am very much looking forward to coming back. This restaurant definitely earned its Michelin star.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary in May. It was a small and cozy restaruant with very high quality of food and service. The menu is set and you can choose the wine pairing to go with it. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyable meal. Isabel our server was exceptionally knowledgable and friendly, she really enhanced our experience. I did not have the wine pairing but Isabel suggested excellent choices of wine. Relaxed atmosphere and comfortable setting. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely evening we had! The restaurant has a beautiful modern yet relaxing interior, totally couldn’t tell when you pass by from the outside. We had the menu plus cheese plate with the wine paring, and we are glad about the choice. Chose this restaurant because of the newly Michelin star listing, and it definitely deserves the star. The flavor was overall balanced, and with some playful twists. At the amuse bouche, the freshness of cucumber with its marination made an interesting start. Then it went on with vegetables, fish and beef. And what a nice wagyu, the meat was literally melting at your tongue, and the fat was balanced with the acid from the ponzu and kimchi (although here I would say from my personal taste the kimchi could have been fermented a bit longer to lose its grassy/planty raw taste). Final dessert was not too sweet or heavy and a nice close to the main dinner. Funny that it seems Germans serve cheese plate after the dessert, but we enjoyed the choice of the cheese. Beside the food, the wine paring was phenomenal, the sommelier was nice to explain the details about the wines from their production, tasting palate and matching of the food. Most of the wines were German and we were surprised about their tastes. In summary we were satisfied with the wonderful dinner. One small suggestion, during the online booking, there was an area you could put “your reason” of the dinner reservation, and I put “birthday dinner”. Not sure if the restaurant had seen this information, and if there were a small gesture, even like a greeting of “happy birthday” would make us feel even more special.

This style of eating is right up my alley: lots of small, shareable plates packed with flavor for a robust and wide ranging gustatory journey. I love a huge bowl of noodles as much as the next person, but where my heart truly lies are several tastes of small bites. A smattering of appetizers, side dishes, tapas, you name it--I like variety. And here at Bricole, that's what they specialize in. You can order a la carte items, or try one of their four prix-fixe options with a pre-selected number of small plates. You get the opportunity to try several flavors from light and bright vegetables to hearty patés, leaving a nice spectrum for a fully holistic meal. Pair with some great regional white wines and sit on the patio if the weather allows, and you're in for a treat. This is a grown up restaurant in an area of town that's itself meant for a more mature Berliner. If you've been to Noe Valley in San Francisco or Park Slope in New York City, that's the vibe you'll get in this neighborhood.
