Restaurant Brioude

It is honestly incredible that this level of cuisine is available for that low of a price. If you like good, french cuisine, this is a must-visit during your trip to the Ardeche. The website and the photo's don't really do the place justice. The restaurant and it's location and decorum really surprised us (in the good way). The staff was attentive, although we had many different people serve us. This is fine ofcourse, but we felt like some were more enthousiastic than others. Also, not all dishes were presented. Please note that this is only a minor gripe, the staff were very kind, quick and helpful! As for the food: the chefs at Brioude are incredible. All of the dishes we had were complex, and they had that savoury French touch that you always try to emulate in your kitchen when it's Christmas time. And for a price like this (at the time of our review, it was something like 36 euros for entree, plat, desert) you ate doing yourself a disservice if you go somewhere else.

Enchanting environment. Very professional personnel, at every level, from beginning to end. Very satisfying food, amuse-bouche, starter and main course and very good wine suggestion. I dare say that dessert was a bit disappointing in comparison (still good though). The only thing I would suggest to consider is the acoustic of the room: the noise level was a problem for our old ears. We were in another part of the restaurant last year, where this was not a problem. All in all: a VERY good adress in Ardeche.

My family have been eating at this restaurant for decades and will continue to do so. It is the finest dining experience that you could wish for. The food is exquisite and the service is exemplary.

Not allowed to have coffee, tea, snacks or cake even though half the terrace is open.

Prix fixe menu for the price point was very good. Service was great and the atmosphere wonderful.

Very good food small quantity fortunately as many different dishes to test !!
