Restaurant Casa Pepa

One of the best restaurants in the region, one Michelinstar and we have been now several times, always same quality and service of high standard!

Returned after many years and it’s not the same Welcome: promptly received and seated and given menus Menu choices: there were 2 set menus one at 65€/pax and the other at 85€/pax and the Carte offered very few options in the main courses ie 3 choices for fish/ seafood and 3 choice for meat. The menu option requires all table customers to take the same menu Service: although very courteous and friendly, the actual service performance was definitely not customer-centered especially in terms of responsiveness to specific requests. Two example: apart from wine we asked for several bottles of still water and ice cubes. The iced cubes only came after 4 repeat requests to 3 different servers about half an hour later, and when asking for bread the response was”no not now this comes later”, a first I must say in my dining experience Taste and flavors: overall consensus at our table was that the nouvelle cuisine trend had been pushed beyond the primary enjoyment of the client and probably pleased more the elaborator in terms of sizes, combinations of textures and association of not so compatible flavors. Our conclusion was “off the list”, at least in the current declination of its culinary offer.

Two of us dined here to celebrate my birthday on a Wednesday night. Not super busy and by ‘Spanish standards’ not cheap but my goodness the food just keeps coming and is top standard, the staff are amazing and there is such a lovely atmosphere. The birthday cake was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend for a special night out 😊

We went to Casa Pepa for my mum's 60th birthday dinner and we had an amazing experience. Staff were super welcoming, friendly, and professional, with good wine recommendations and flexible in the tasting menu (one in our party did not eat anything from the sea). The tasting menu is delicious, the local produce and locally inspired dishes lovely. Recommended!

Amazing lunch here. The food, the service, the attention to detail and the wines all perfect. Due to a change in circumstances we had to bring our 2 young kids along, and the staff went out of their way to make them feel comfortable, including cooking them their own 3 course menu (which was in itself incredible). We can't wait to return.

Many years ago it was (for many years) a legendary place. I used to visit it quite often. After acquisition by Gruppo BonAmb everything got worse. Food become nothing to talk about, tasting menu is simply tasteless. But the worst thing is how the design changed - instead of a classic rustic restaurant it has been redisigned into a modern minimalist style without a face (and with artificial grass!!!).

My first experience with Michelin star restaurant, staff make the difference, well informed on their dishes & wines , warm hospitality, thoughtful attention. Delicious food concentrated flavours in tiny multiple servings. Clean, spacious light restaurant & facilities. I have not spent so much on a meal before but it was a wholeistic experience of delight, I departed fully satisfied.

Wonderful food and service. Catered brilliantly for allergens of gluten and lactose. And did fantastic meals for the children too. Just a perfect evening.

A unique experience. This restaurant is located in the middle of an orange tree area. It has a beautiful outdoors dining room where they serve a very elaborated Marina Alta cuisine. Rices, fish and seafood with citric flavors snd Touches of the Marina Alta's Islamic legacy. A very well curated list of wines, that accounts for the rich wine culture in the region. A must if you are in the area.
