Wonderful from the moment we entered the hotel until we departed. The service, their tasting menu, the serving and the assistance was just sublime and made with ambiance, a lovely afternoon on a rainy day. The hotel is nestled on a dead end street and has an impressive entrance. Definitely worth the visit. Everything was delicious.

Contraband the best dinning experience I had in 2024 so far. The restaurant is incredible well designed. Dark colors contrast with the red velvet furniture. The food was absolutely incredible! The plates are named based on feelings, small details that matters. Also they had a DJ to set up de mood. 10/10 recommend.

What an vibe! Contraban is tucked away in the Gothic Quarter highlighting contemporary cooking inspired by emotions and feelings. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned and I was blown away how all the ingredients shined. I was lucky to stay at the hotel and highly recommend as solo, date or group spot. Can’t wait to return for the tasting menu. Special thanks to Marina for her knowledge and skillful service and getting me to my flamenco show on time.

This quiet, elegant and cozy restaurant located in a boutique hotel offers a variety of delicious foods that are juicy and tasty! We had lunch there and it was perfect for what we were looking for! We really recommend that you try their roast beef 👌🏻

We were staying in the hotel so I am a bit biased. The hotel was fantastic. The food in the restaurant is good but also not the best we had in Barcelona. But it's definitely worth a visit. Also had the weirdest eggs Benedict ever, that unfortunately looked better than they tasted, but it was a surprise :-)

Great vibe, very posh and the garden added to the ambiance. The croquettes were tasty. Highlight of our meal was easily the pasta with Iberian ham, the sauce was out of this world! Lamb was also very good. Bartender did a really delightful take on an old fashioned with ginger beer, which we loved. A unique spot that was understated and excellent!

Amazing dishes that are hard to find anywhere in the Gothic Quarter! The atmosphere is luxurious and peaceful, and you'll immediately feel better even if you only drop by for a cocktail from their expert bartenders. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amazing flavors of the food. Every single staff member here has been helpful, courteous, and incredibly informative about the local area and the entire city of Barcelona. It was a dream to visit here!

Beautiful atmosphere and top notch service, with a nice touch where they preview you some dishes in the cast iron pit before they are served. We sat in the patio which is lined with a living wall. Staff was attentive to the point that when it started raining they immediately opened up the awnings ❤️. Some dishes were delicious, although some were a bit misleading (beef jerky to us is dehydrated meat vs what they served which was thinly sliced cured beef) Still tasty though with added touch of oil and Spanish almonds. Located in an adult-only hotel, so you’re guaranteed a quiet evening 😅 On the pricier side but fair given the location, service and atmosphere.
