We had high expectations due to some reviews written here.
In the beginning everything looked nice. Beautiful decor, with an open kitchen, in an ancient building.
Problems started a few minutes later: There’s only one waitress for the whole restaurant.
The amuse bouche was delicious. In fact it was the best thing we had there.
The cold soup was “ok”, nothing “special”, but not bad.
The main course was a disaster. I had the lamb and it was tasteless. Hubby had the fish (small pieces where we couldn’t taste it as the lime flavor was too intense). Presentation was also poor.
Bread was dry, and that’s a pity in a country where bread is almost always perfect, everywhere you go.
The cheese plate had below average cheese, in very small portions, with a touch of “humor” (bad humor in my opinion): A mouse trap “decorating” the plate!?!? A flower, or even nothing, would have been more appropriate.
The other dessert was just “ok”. Again, below average.
In my opinion there’s no way a restaurant can work properly with just one person taking care of all tables and only one person cooking, without assistants. If I knew this beforehand, for sure I wouldn’t have made reservations here.
