Quaint little place with wholesome, home cooked style meals, great service, cool “cellar” fitout with short but okay wine list. 3 mains to choose from the 1 page simple menu. Ideal for quick bite after a long day - can get in and out quickly

We walked 45 minutes to get to the restaurant. According to the information on Line it should have been open. It wasn't. We were hungry, tired and unhappy. It was our last evening in Dresden.

We came here for our last meal in Germany (this trip). Our waiter, Lorenz, could not be more helpful and informative, not only guiding us through the food and wine menu and making recommendations but also giving us local tips. Daniel, the head chef came out to greet us, his food is amazing and we have really enjoyed our dinner. Our dinner was excellent value for the quality of ingredients and standard of cooking and we would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Maybe it was the menu this period but I found the starters amazing and the main slightly underwhelming…and that led me to be a bit disappointed since I have been wanting to visit this place for over a year. Dessert was also lovely and made up for the mains. The mains did not feel like it lived up to the course, and could have been smaller too. With two starters, we were close to full by the time the mains arrived, which was a while longer than we expected. The crew did well despite being understaffed. The lady serving us was super nice and was super professional despite not speaking English. The wine pairing options were good but not fantastic. It would have been lovely to have a sommelier to explain the wine choices with each meal, but I had to make do with my beginner’s German to understand what was presented. Nevertheless, a good experience for sure. I would love to give this place another try, perhaps in spring and when there is a new menu. I am certain there is potential here.
