All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Food was amazing. We went on my husband's birthday and they came out with a sparkler, we were so surprised and happy! We had an absolutely phenomenal time!

I visited with a large group for a business dinner. We had some drinks at the bar for a little bit before we were seated. The group was seated and orders taken in short order. Food tasted and looked excellent. Everyone around me was complimentary about the quality and taste of the food. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and conducive to quietly visiting with colleagues and friends at the end of a long workday. The restaurant was well filled but not overcrowded in a beautiful countryside location. They took very good care of our group. Would definitely visit again given the opportunity. Highly recommend for a business gathering.

Love this place! Very cozy and a good date place. The food is delicious and we like that they have actual choices for non-alcoholic wines.

Such a nice place with lovely people who are in for a good conversation. The view is amazing and the food really makes you happy! We had 'boerenjongen' en fish of the day. Also got some special steamed apples with the food. These were so delightful. Pinning this restaurant as one of my favourites!

Very nice restaurant, beautiful decoration and eye-catching tableware. Delicious food, good service. Pork belly with shrimps and duck was amazing! Worth a visit!

Tucked away in the serene Ronde Hoep polder, De Voetangel is a total escape from Amsterdam’s hustle, just a 10-minute drive away. Had the carpaccio starter—fresh, zesty with basil mayo and Parmesan—and the slow-cooked duck leg with hoisin sauce, which was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. The riverside terrace view is unreal, especially at sunset with the city skyline peeking through. Staff were warm and attentive, though it can get busy, so book ahead. Prices are fair for the quality . Perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner. 5 stars!

I am a foreigner and this restaurant was recommended by a friend from Amstelveen. Food and service were excellent and the rosé wine from La Colombette also very good and affordable. I do not take picture of my food so here it is the view!

What a surprise. A hidden gem and one of the best meals that I have eaten in The Netherlands. Will be back soon.

Very nice place in the full country side .... few minutes outside Amsterdam... close to the Arena.... Ouder-Amstel to be precise. Quiet surrounding with lot of green and water.... almost romantic!! It is a big restaurant... mainly Dutch/French cuisine. Great for office dinners, they can accommodate big groups. I had a very good starter, Tompouce, which is a duck leaver sandwich with Serrano ham and rucola... very well presented and tasty. I tasted the smoked salmon from my friends and it was nice... big thick chunks... very delicate. My main course was the Dutch Polder Beef stake.... cooked medium rare as I asked. Meat was tender and a good portion... quite big. Served with few thick french fries and a tasty salad with bacon. We had a good Spanish red wine which matched nicely the meaty food. Finished with a coffee .... I would not call it espresso .... they need to work on that... it was really too long and watery. The Drambuie was good... nice choice of liquors. Over all a nice dinner, pleasant place... even if it happened... I got out of the restaurant and I was smelling a lot of food.. which I do not like that much. For the price I would expect table cloth and a much more smiling service, even if they were all very efficient.

What a great ambiance and atmosphere. A very very hospitable team. A very nice welcome, friendly service. We started with a very original starter: Oysters with spinache and cheese. The wine was a fabulous Malbec. Also tasting some wines before making a choice was not a problem at all. As main course I had a pheasant and sauerkraut! What an excellent combination. As a dessert we had a small creme brulee, and a glass of fresh mint tea. Especially the atmosphere is unique. It is a warm welcome, a personal touch, and a good feel about how everybody should treat each other, without being formal! I will come back soon!
