"Jan Decan is a pianist and a chef down to his very core, as his restaurant, an elegant harmony of ebony and ivory, musically reflects. You may even see him play if you’re lucky! Jan enjoys jazzing up classical recipes, adding contemporary notes with the greatest respect for the ingredient. He excels in orchestrating dishes such as sole meunière or saddle of lamb with morels and green asparagus. His subtle sauces, flavoursome acidic melodies and familiar tunes demonstrate his talent as an accomplished (culinary) conductor. Ah! Music to our ears!" - Michelin Inspector

Must be my favourite restaurant in Antwerp. Perfectly executed dishes, excellent quality ingredients, every single time. Such a consistent top notch level and delivery. Great atmosphere and service. Always true to itself and fairly priced for truly top top level cuisine. It is always an honour to be received by such a skilled and professional yet warm and kind couple. Looking forward to my next visit already!

This cozy little restaurant in Antwerp area is indeed the one which you could say "Quality". We were greeted by the head chef. Food: Absolutely phenomenal. I was mind-blown by this first one, cucumber almond and apple dish. All works great. I mentioned that I am vegetarian and gluten free. The kitchen brought me quality foods according to my dietary restrictions, and I cannot complain even a teeny bit. The lady in charge is also great, but we can tell it's understaffed, so the service time between second appetizer and the main was quite long. Around 100 euros per person for dinner. Lovely and fresh food all perfectly balanced and not salty! You are full but not unpleasant! Highly recommended!!

Excellent restaurant with a lovely host being so accommodating. We took the 5 course menu and it was above expectations. Flavours were great, portions are just right and the presentation is lovely. Champagne and wine suggestions were incredibly tasty, and even to the liking of my husband who is not a wine drinker. Although we celebrated our engagement at their restaurant, I will remain unbiased towards the food quality, service and atmosphere.

Got invited by a friend for a fancy lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a restaurant. Very friendly staff, delicious food and fair value for money. The dishes are plated so nicely, the combination of flavors works harmoniously and the cozy chique atmosphere beautifully ties the experience together. Definitely not cheap, but definitely worth enjoying at least once.

Great food experience. Well worth a visit. The seasonal menu is the obvious choice here. The individual dishes are well thought out and each have a clear vision and are well portioned. The accompanying non alcoholic drinks were especially excellent. The staff was super friendly and made you really feel at home!

Visited restaurant Decan for the first time this evening. Tucked away behind a rather ancient looking facade, the interior of the restaurant is minimalistic, crisp and appealing. Subtle lighting and decent size tables with comfortable seating. The service was well devided between the chef, the lady of the house sommelier and the maître d. We started off with a glass of very nice champagne. The menu looked promising yet we decided to go with separate courses. All dishes came out perfectly timed and beautifully presented. Fresh and high quality ingredients, matching ingredients perfectly. We went for wine, but the table next to us opted for a non alcoholic wine pairing, which looked and sounded most interesting. Overall we enjoyed our visit to Decan very much. Step up quality food, with slightly higher prices.

Nice dinner. The lamb main course really impressed me, really bold and delicious. Amuse dishes can be better , small asparagus and oxtail kind of repeats in main course, show lack of diversity.

We had an amazing culinary experience at this hidden gem. Particularly enjoyed the sweetbread and the langoustines with caviar.
