I want to express my gratitude to Arzu from online orders delivery team. He is engaged in the delivery of online orders and has a well trained professional picker and driver staff. Previously, we would come to the depot ourselves, stand in line for a long time, and sometimes we couldn’t even get answers to our questions that we asked the team at the depot. We decided to try to make an online order. This time we were very surprised when we made our first online order from the depot and this order was completely fulfilled 100%. We didn’t go anywhere, we didn't waste our time. Everything was done professionally over the phone. Arzu solved all the questions about the products that were stock out, made the necessary replacements and we received our order on time. His delivery team distributed all the goods in a place which was needed, they were very efficient and had a positive impact on the situation. Thanks a lot to Arzu and his team, this guy is doing his job effectively and professionally. Highly recommended!

My first visit to Restaurant Depot was incredibly disappointing. There was only one opened box of Halal Foreshank available, with no clear sign indicating it must be sold per case, just a price per pound. Despite other Halal items being sold in pairs, the Meat department manager rudely insisted the foreshank had to be purchased by the case and even yelled at me. Given that there was only one box, it would have been reasonable and feasible to label each unit of foreshank by measuring the weight and pricing them accordingly. It’s frustrating and embarrassing that they treat Muslim customers this way, and I urge the regional manager to address this issue before more people in our community feel compelled to leave similar reviews. The staff and management need to be replaced with more professional individuals, as they come across as racist, and their behavior and appearance make it seem like many of them may have a criminal background. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and needs to be corrected immediately.

It’s been years since I last shopped at Restaurant Depot, and the reason is simple: painfully slow service. I remember wasting over 2 hours in line just to pay. Today, I came back by accident, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. I waited 1 hour and 12 minutes just to check out. That’s it for me — never again.

The most ridiculous establishment ever. They always over charge you and when you bring it up to their attention, they ask you to go pick up the tag and show them. Are you serious? Do I work for you? Managment here totally sucks . See pic of the receipt . And the tag showing for red bell pepper. If you don't watch, they will over charge you a dollar or two here and there without you noticing

This is an establishment that requires membership. So you pay for the privilege to shop there. More often than not they have what you're looking for, even if you have to locate it high up on a warehouse rack and flag down a guy with a forklift to get it. Their biggest downside has always been their checkout process. For a long time it was a single line down a single isle, and they would direct you one by one to available check-stands. Seemed slow and sometimes the line wrapped around the store. But it was orderly. The other problem related to checking out is the management and inventory system. They seem to have a poor control of their POS/Inventory system and never know for sure if an item is discounted like the boxes say. So they are forever calling for non available management overrides on their old POS systems. This dramatically holds things up. After that, check out clerks have to call a manager to finalize each transaction. So again, you're waiting for a manager to come over a count items. It's insane. They provide No empowerment to their employees. And waste every customers time. Lately they have abandoned the single line for a free for all at the front of the store. This could make sense. However, the employees still need multiple checks from management to complete transactions. And many of the employees have zero customer service skills. They are stressed out, trying to get to their break times, and end up yelling at the customers or being extremely sarcastic with them. This palace doesn't respect you as a customer. At all. Not your time, or your experience with them. I would strong recommend seeing if somewhere like US Chefs store, smart and final, or Costco can meet your needs before coming here. It will take much longer than you'd expect, and will be largely a bad experience.

It's hit or miss on a decent experience here. At the front desk, Gabrielle refused to call the manager Sonny for me, even though he had asked me to come back today about a question. I offered to wait for him. She was condescending and dismissive. Sure, I could have dug my heels in but gave up instead and left - this place wasn't worth the frustration.

I've been here so many times with my mom to pick up food for our restaurant. It is so overwhelming if it's someone first time bc they have everything and everything you can think of if you need food to operate a restaurant from bones to green leaves to Togo packages to can foods, they got everything. Some days it's a hit. Most days it's a miss bc they're not stocking fast enough. Customer service can be improved for sure and feel super rushed. Tip of the day is to always take picture of the pricing and compare to what's being charged on your receipt. Also if you get their sale advertisement just make sure it reflect in the system bc they don't always code it on time.

This place needs to figure out how to ring up customers. The lines are outrageously long. I've stood in line For a hour and 15 minutes before I got to a register. I only had 1 item and asked for a quick check out which in turn they said I had to wait in line. This is so sad and they have potential to be so much better. Wish I didn't need to go here.

Are used to go once a week and spend about $20,000 a month at this place but now I go once a month and spend a quarter of that. The service is so bad you have to wait up to an hour in line. And I learned that you can buy a lot of these products elsewhere for cheaper and or have them mailed to you.

I am lost of words on how to express my frustration at this situation, this is beyond comprehension, we are long time costumers that buy big volúmenes of food every week. We are business owners that are very busy, come here and not only have to wait sometimes for items to be brought down to the aisle, but have to wait in line to pay for a long time, today the line curves all they way to the back and part of the next aisle, probably there is a least 30-40 costumers ahead of me, this is depressing, the only reason we keep coming is because we have no other options. I wish the owners, head quoters, CEO's will stay in line for 30-40 minutes like we do since the pandemic started to feel what we feel, we are busy people that HATE THIS LINES, this is pathetic.

The roommate does a Restaurant Depot run every Wednesday and Saturday. Since we had something to do in the morning, I went with him last Saturday, July 7th around 11:15am. This was the first time I'd ever been to a Restaurant Depot, so I just roamed around while he shopped. Saw giant cans of cheese sauces and spam classic. Two things I adore. I didn't hit up the giant walk in fridge section (I was in a dress and would have froze), but the actual warehouse had a good amount of things: food, take out containers, beverages, etc. I think we were here for about an hour, so the roommate managed to fill up two carts with his restaurant purchases. Price wise, the roomie says it's cheaper to come to restaurant depot versus buying through a vendor, so he's goes twice a week, every week to get chicken, lettuce, onions, etc. Fun exploring this giant warehouse. I only wish I could eat over 6 lbs of nacho cheese. I really wanted one of those cans. Gimme that ooey gooey deliciousness!

Stay away if possible...Everything seems to be labeled incorrectly. I have been to this place about five times and every time I go I'm never satisfied I always have an issue when checking out. They seem to have the price tag labels incorrect for the wrong items. Also the line to check out is long very long about a 45 minute wait to 1 hour wait. I also purchased bread sandwich bread I grab about 20 packs and 5 of them came out with mold. Avoid if possible and search for Another place to shop.

I bought a 100pc foil pack of foil lids which was advertised as $17, but took the wrong box filled with individually packaged ones for $55. I told the rude cashier that I did not want it, and to remove it off my transaction, but he proceeds to tell me "No, you need to be a member for returns. You have a temporary pass." ??? I told him that it is NOT a return because I did not pay yet, all I want is the item off my bill?? He proceeds to threaten me saying I need a licenses, he will void my whole cart, etc. I was pretty much forced to pay for something I didn't want, and went to talk to another cashier(no managers on site at 6pm) . The nicer cashier said yes, they would've been able to cancel the item even if I was not a member. I see him go talk to the other cashier, and they argue loudly in front of everyone. The rude cashier ends up LYING, accusing me that I wanted to return in AFTER paying. In the end, the nicer cashier told me to come back the next day for a refund at my own disconvenience. Considering it is a 25 minute drive, I will let it be. Needless to say, I will not be allowing that cashier to check me out ever again, and will be warning everyone to be careful of him. I believe he was just lazy to rescan my cart, and forced me to pay for things I didn't want at that expense.

Consistently the worst customer service of any store. The only reason to return is the good prices. So far today, we have been waiting in line for nearly 2 hours. The line is wrapped around two aisles from front to back. When I simply asked the lazy clerk at the front entrance if they had cashiers, she rudely stated you have to wait like everyone else. Stay away from this place if you can avoid it.

Worst restaurant depot in the Bay Area! They never have what you need in stock, the lines are always ridiculously long and they only open two registers when they have about 10 available. There's always about 30 people in line with karts full of products and always takes about an hour just waiting in line. They need a change in management asap. This place sucks. Not mention they've had problems with break ins with your car in the parking lot. Save your time and do not shop here!

This location has a really rude cashier, her name was Candance. She helped this couple before us with their purchased. At the end of their purchased, the man didn't know where to pay so instead Candace was saying, "I'm not paying for you stuff, I'm not paying" to the customer which I thought was a little ignorant for her to say when clearly, the couple had a language barrier while also trying to figure out where to pay. Then, it was my turn, she scanned all of my items and towards the end, one of the item I purchase after she "tried" to put it on the counter it almost fell on the ground, luckily my boyfriend caught it before it actually fell one the floor. She turned her body towards the next customer very quickly. She goes, "hello, hello, HELLLLLO, you're next" to the gentlemen after us. He was trying to get something out of his wallet and he was obviously confused and he goes, "geez" to Candance. So then when I heard that while I was trying to pay, I instantly told how rude she was and she did not like it. She tried to explain to me why and find reasons why she was like that and all I wanted to do is get my receipt and leave. She told me, "thanks, like I needed that" in a sarcastic way and with a look in her face. For me, no matter how bad of a day you're having, you need to leave that behind the door before you actually enter your workplace, because now you are passing that bad energy to others around you (especially to your customers). Anyone would hate to come to a place and get treated like that by someone. Candance was extremely rude and because of that I don't think I would drive 20 miles again just to have another bad experience. I don't like to complain about anyone, but to continuously act like that to customers is NOT an excuse.

I would give them a zero stars if I could! so I drove all the way over there to buy lobster tails that were advertised on the website for $104.50 for 5lbs. The fish guy told me to talk to Sunny the manager and some other clown with an attitude came out to assist me. I told him that I wanted to talk to Sunny and replied "you are going to talk to me!" at that point he didn't identify himself as a manager. My next statement was that I drove from South San Jose and he replied "that's not far!" what a prick! He should have said, I am sorry for your inconvenience what can we do to remedy this? and then he saw that I was upset and he says to me, "we don't have to anything about this. So I tried to calm down and just got fed up and I said screw this and proceeded to leave and the clown followed me. of course I said some choice words! He deserved it. He threatened me to get closer to him so that he could try to kick my ass! I will never shop there again. now I know why the fish guy told me to look for Sunny because the other guy is a prick!

Somewhat good deals here. Restaurant depot is for those who have businesses. They are allowing the public to obtain access during covid 19. They close at 6pm daily and limit certain items such as hand sanitizer etc. I only come here for certain things like eggs, cheese, limes, flour and other everyday household things. Since I don't own a restaurant, I don't have a need for other bulk items. It's simply too much for one family to consume.

Worst customer service. Staff are rude and stuck up. They are not understaffed, they're just lazy. Be prepared to wait an hour in line to check out. I recommend businesses do their shopping somewhere else.

Mixed opinion on this place. The prices are great,but the staff needs some lessons in customer service. Let's start with greeting customers with a "Hello" over just having discussions with your coworkers about when your shift is over, or that you're looking forward to quitting time. In order to shop here, you need to have the Jetro membership card. Membership application has requirements involving a business license, a tax-exempt certificate (for non-profits) and current state ABC license for buying alcohol. We come here to pick up beer, wine and mixers for servicing the bar for our non profit group's fundraisers. The forklift stockers like to speed up and down the aisles, with a fast constant honking of the horn. Stay alert. They won't slow down for you. If you can't get to something because it's blocked by pallets, so sad, too bad. The prices are close to Costco level. This place could be described as similar to what Costco used to be in its early years, or, more like today's Costco Business Center locations. It's grubbier than a Costco. You won't find the sample lady at the front of the aisles. The attitude is find it, buy it. and get the hell out. I do check out the damaged goods section on the left of the check outs. Sometimes it's worth it, most of the time, it's not worth the bother. I usually look for plastic disposable 9 oz. cups, either for cocktail or wine. If a few are broken, or the box is damaged. it's okay. Today, it was humorous that someone marked down a half gallon of whipping cream, and left it out unrefrigerated. It will likely be tossed. Getting back to the first part, the cashiers aren't friendly. They are efficient, but the lines are still slow. For four items, we had a two foot receipt, and the 10 inches of the receipt was the pertinent information about our purchase.

Restaurant Depo has very good deals for most items. We like to buy fresh vegetables, organic salads, meat, cheeses, etc... There are very good choices in every department. We get frustrated with misleading advertisement: several weeks we attempted to purchase oysters and fresh fish for reasonable price. Any time we went there, we have been told oyster and fresh fish are " sold out " . Today my husband was there before store opens with hope to get some oysters, but didn't have any luck. We strongly believe it's just misleading advertisement and luring you to come in the store. It's totally wrong doing to loyal customers.

I have to give them. One star because there is no 0 or -0 star !! This place is ridiculous !! There is no management at all!!! Every employee have a power trip!! People see you, and speak to you with disrespect. No one cares for the long lines and hours of waiting !! They don't have customer service skills at all !! They don't understand that they have a job because we go shop there!! . Their prices are up in the skies !! Even when the produce are really bad !! Parking lot is dangerous !! Someone assaulted a lady that was making her list inside her car and they took her purse!! They broke into my car and took my purse !!! They broke car windows at the same time.

She was probably the most fastest person they had there I actually brought her food multiple times but sadly she stopped working there I believe. Dangerous location!!! Be careful if you shop here. I was slap on 4/25/20 at 1:30pm, two man slapped on me, and took my purse while I was waiting in line to get into the store . I could not believe it , it happened while so many people out there. No security guy help, only customers right there try to help me to get the man , how ever they ran away. I really want to thank you the customer named Angel , he took me into his car , and tried to chase those two man, and also called 911 to report it. Thank you Angel, you are the hero!!! I don't thank I will shop here anymore. I will have other company for delivery. Be safe every body!!!

Mom goes shopping here a lot due to her business needs, and usually its OK. But today the worker helping to load stuff into the cars was super rude. My mom didn't have enough to tip a full $5ish she usually gives, and the guy helping her take stuff to her car/load was so rude to her. Called her stingy, gave her attitude, and just plain uncalled for behavior. Like hi, did you know? ITS NOT HER OBLIGATION TO TIP YOU, YOU ASS. Maybe he should be negotiating with his boss or complaining to his boss about his wages instead of being an ass to a customer.

I only came here for a return and the process took exactly 43 minutes. I arrived at 1pm and left at 1:43pm. I'm not sure why it took so long but their return policy is quite ridiculous. First, you take your item to the receptionist in the front. Then they click some keys on the computer and search up the item. While they are doing this, they are also answering about 7 phone calls. Keep in mind all the phone calls are filtered through the receptionist. They then radio in "John there is a call waiting for you line 1". They do this for awhile and then when the phone stops ringing, they acknowledge you. After I sign a sheet of paper, they then redirect me to the line and said I can get my money back there. What??!! So I stood in line with other about 20 people purchasing their bulk items and wait. I waited for so long that I thought I was going to explode. Finally when it is my turn, cashier punches my order in and then shouts for their supervisor to come. I wait some more while he authorizes the return. Oh, did I mention the whole process took 40 minutes? They really need to change their return policy. They advertise that they are guaranteed to return your product if you don't like it, but it takes FOREVER. One star for at least getting my money back but they need to change their system on how to do so!

TLDR: Good place to stock up on restaurant needs, but car break ins common here, which is no surprise because LACK OF SECURITY AND CAMERAS!!!! Solid place. My mother has been coming here for several years to stock up for her restaurants. Staff are always friendly and they have ample amount of items in stock at decent prices. Reason for any stars. One huge issue is the lack of security. There are multiple car break-ins every week in their parking lot. One review below mentioned three in one day. Sigh, my mom's window was smashed in today and they were unable to provide security footage because "the camera is broken." Really?!? What a lie. People, including staff, came out and kept telling her how much of a problem this is. If they know it's a reoccurring issue then there is no excuse for broken cameras and no security. I honestly believe they just don't want to share video footage to prevent some sort of liability. Weird. Worse, police will not come out to write up a report because they are obviously tied up with other things and it happens too much here. They can't really do anything without freaking video footage and lack of resources. People that work in the restaurant business tend to carry lots of cash when restocking. While I believe customers are solely responsible for their belongings, they shouldn't have to worry every time they come to an establishment. Apologies for the long rant, but criminals know this place is an easy target.
