Restaurant Dijon L'évidence

This is the first restaurant in the Bourgogne area to demand a credit card number to confirm the reservation. We were about 10 minutes late when we arrived. We did try to call but by the time our phone got pickup, we were almost there. The service was actually a bit cold. It seemed that the staff was in a hurry. My starter beetroot was good but not outstanding. My sister had beef as main dish and she told me it was also just all right. We had quite a high expectation for this place due to the good ratings. My main dish fish of the day and the dessert were better. But compared to other restaurants we tried in Dijon, the overall experience is subpar.

We orders the 5 course meal food was good apart from the starter it was with mussles scallops and cauliflower with mouse it's OK to be self cold but it was like from the fridge but the rest Was all good service was fine expected better service

Amazing dinner experience at affordable price. Staff is very nice and welcoming, highly professional and always paying attention (despite just 2 people welcoming and serving). We had seating downstairs and despite big group next to us, was pleasant atmosphere. Food was excellent (had fish options for both starter and main course) and there was good wine selection. Highly recommend to visit!

Interesting and creative dishes. Pre fixed menu with several possible options. Atmosphere is calm, great choice for elegant dinner.

The food and the level to details is just exceptional for the price we pay, I am not sure if it’s possible to find another restaurant in Dijon matching this level.

For food of this quality, L’évidence provides excellent value for money. Very wisely, they opt for quality of cuisine rather than having an extensive choice of dishes. The wine list is very good with some delicious wines on offer. A thoroughly deserved Michelin Bib Gourmand. Very popular and so book ahead.

A round of applause for the dedicated service at this restaurant. I felt especially welcome here by the hostess. Unfortunately the email confirmation the restaurant sent was a waiting list confirmation and not the actual reservation. She called the person with the 745 reservation and they didn't come by the time my 815 started. I would recommend the amusebuche on the house - tomato purée was something I’d actually pay for. The special of the day was the scallops with caviar. The veal was very well made - just enough flavouring that you could still taste the tenderness of the meat itself.

Excellent value for money. Each dish was unique and well-thought. The tomato appetiser was one of the best dishes we've tried! Service was impeccable.
