"This chic, timeless brasserie is a mythical establishment, where the Goncourt Prize has been awarded since 1914 and the Renaudot Prize since 1926! More recently, still very much alive and kicking, it has found itself with a new decor and a new chef: Romain Van Thienen. With a skillset honed in the kitchens of Cyril Lignac and Yannick Alléno's Allénotheque, he is continuing in the establishment's tradition, preparing the great French classics, from vol-au-vent and sole meunière to the famous "madeleine de Proust"." - Michelin Inspector

I was slightly nervous after reading some of the not so nice reviews about this restaurant but I am SO glad that I kept the reservation and trusted the esteemed recommendation that I had received. This was all around an amazing experience. The restaurant decor, the ambience, the service, the wine and the food were so very good. On top of that, the 'experience' of their plating and service; the tartare, the lemon sorbet. The tartare was outstanding, with a kick of spice. Everyone was friendly and attentive but not over the top which is how I like it. Highly recommend and ignore the lukewarm reviews.

Google
The food is mediocre and the staff like many stated are unprofessional and rude. Our waiter acted like he hated his job and customers. My husband didn’t feel good halfway through the meal and we asked to take his vol-au-vent to go since he barely ate it and they rudely told us no. Throughout the night they didn’t bother to ask us if we needed anything else either. The poor service here was just appalling. If you want good vibes, food, and service, then DO NOT EAT here!! You’ve been warned.

Went here for brunch and it was so good! Cute lspot with a cozy vibe. The pastries were amazing, the croissants were buttery and flaky. Everything we tried was very good.

Impeccable service, attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. The staff elevated the entire experience with their quiet efficiency and thoughtful gestures. A true example of hospitality done right.

Absolutely delicious food and great service at a reasonable price! It was fairly quiet but this place needs more attention. Definitely try the beef tartare.

“Drouant in Paris offered an excellent tasting menu that day, showcasing refined flavors and impeccable presentation. The sommelier guided me to a fantastic wine pairing, elevating the experience even more. The food was outstanding, though the service felt a bit rushed—my only observation. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great attention to detail.”

Google
Known as a historic French restaurant, I visited with high expectations but found the experience somewhat underwhelming. The beef tartare was well-seasoned and enjoyable, but the chicken dish was quite tough and difficult to chew. Overall, the meal fell short of what I had hoped for.

Google
I visited with friends on Monday. The food was great, and the interior was fabulous. It could have been the perfect lunch if we had received professional service. We weren’t offered water until we were asked to be ready to order. On top of that, the waiter kept looking for something in his pocket intentionally, which was very unprofessional. Because of this, we decided not to order more food or wine. It’s no surprise they don’t even deserve one star. I strongly believe this is due to a lack of professionalism from the front-of-house staff. What a shameful experience.

Yelp
I'd probably give Drouant 3.5 stars. Started with the leeks and butternut squash soup. Leeks were good. Felt very French. The soup was good but it was very lukewarm when it arrived which diminished the taste. Had the mushroom ravioli (tortellini) and it was good. Not amazing, but solidly good. The sauce is broth. Also had the veal shank. I'd definitely skip this. Came out pretty rare/raw, and was very bland. Not worth it. The staff was very kind and attentive. But almost too attentive. Hovering a bit. But they were lovely. Their cocktail list is excellent. I'd go back to sit at the bar and get a drink but I probably wouldn't eat dinner there again. I'm not sure which dishes earned them the Michelin recognition, but I could've done without this visit.

Yelp
Quintessential Paris Bistro! Excellent food and an amazing atmosphere. The service was stretched but given the influx of affluent tourists that might not be totally unexpected. The seafood dishes were clearly the stars. Great experience. If you can get a reservation you should go, it is that simple.

Yelp
Very nice place, very French food. We had a limited menu for our large group but the food was very good.

Yelp
Wonderful experience, impeccable service of perfectly prepared foods in an elegant space!

Yelp
Excellent 2nd arrondissement modern French restaurant great food and presentation, top notch service, in a very nice set of rooms. A little more expensive than a bistro, but worth it. My entrecôte was perfectly cooked, with a great green pepper sauce. The citron tart with sorbet was fantastic. We loved the "vin de France" viongier souillard white wine. Highly recommended.

Yelp
My husband and I chose to have our last dinner in Paris here. Everything tasted great. The sommelier provided amazing choices for our meal. The service was excellent. The ambiance was romantic. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my husband didn't like his dish had a pile of spinach underneath. He wasn't aware it was going to be that much so he wasn't able to eat all of his dish. But what he did eat he enjoyed. We would go back to try other dishes if we visit Paris again.

Yelp
Are there a few nights ago on my last night in Paris, wish I found it sooner, would eaten there twice. Top notch food and service, throughly enjoyed myself

Yelp
My fiancée brought me here to celebrate our engagement in Paris, and I was so proud of him (he knows how much good food means to me, and he did his research to find the perfect place!) Drouant is definitely upscale dining, and although our total bill came to around €245, it was worth the 5 stars and the experience! From coat check, to a sommelier providing perfect wine pairings, to a bread basket that was never empty, the service at Drouant alone earned it 5 stars. However, the food was also impeccable and I was so excited for the opportunity to have celebratory caviar (only €35!!!), whereas in the US it often costs $100+! I will also say that even though we ordered both appetizers and entrees, I appreciated that everything here is offered á la carte, because often restaurants in Paris will require a 2-3 course menu. By ordering a la carte, you can definitely save some money here and there--the most expensive part of our bill was the wine (€30 a glass, oof) but there are also cheaper options as well. For dinner, we started with the caviar (Baerii d'Aquitaine) which was a good "caviar for newbies" and the stracciatella cheese. For dinner, I was a bit disappointed because the night we visited, they were out of the linguine with blue lobster which I really wanted to try, but instead I opted for the risotto (piping hot and amazing flavor!) and my fiancée had the beef fillet (the black pepper sauce was incredible). By dessert, we were too stuffed to try anything--but I am sure they have some amazing options if the other food we had was any indicator of its quality! Overall, Drouant is absolutely worthy of its Michelin nods and a wonderful choice for a standout dinner experience.

Yelp
Sadly this was one of the best restaurants in Paris for many years running. It had one star and then 2 stars, now it has none. It certainly does not deserve any!...I have been here many times in the past and would never recommend it at this time. We are in Paris s3 times a year as I have famiily there. Going to Drouant was a highlight but over the past 5 years we have not been. Service was horrible. The captain at the table did not even discuss the menu. The foie gras is not home made, it is cut off a store bought loaf. The sweetbread dish ( vol au vent) sounded delicious until it was served. See Picture below). The sweetbreads were small chick nuggets, actually more bread surrounding the piece than actual meat. They were hard and cold. The seared foie gras was cold. There was a server who literally doused the dish in gravy making it inedible. There were more vegetables than worth the 60$ charge. My wife ordered the Sole. Great dish!! Except, one, it was priced in grams and they gave her a whole fish rather than asking how many grams she would like. It was cold and rubbery, not a flaky sole. My fork stood up in it like a tent pole! The captain has the responsibility to ask how much a patron would like if it is billed in grams or say per shrimp etc. This was 90$, poorly overcooked and tasteless, again covered in too many bread crumbs. All in all it was a 300$ night that forced us to go the the Tabac next door for the same quality but for 50$..I have no issue spending money as I am a gourmand. Having been best friends with Jean Claude Vrinat, the owner of Taillevent, and eaten there 6 times a year for 20 years, and was at his funeral sadly , so food is not an issue. ( we were at Lasserre the night before...wonderful meal, presentation, and staff). Sadly the company that owes this place should dump it out of their list ( they own Taillevent as well) Truly horrible!!! And the place was half empty at 8pm..that says alot about a bad restaurant who rests on its old forgotten laurels ( for some reason I can not load the photo..sorry)

Yelp
The restaurant was very accommodating in hosting a large party with no reservations on last-minute notice. We were greeted with a settled welcome and a pleasant coat check-in service. Our group of fifteen was split into two tables but seated in the same room. Lights were deemed, and dinner service was promptly started. Overall, it was a joyful experience. Although the service suffered at times with a lack of attention, I attributed it to the circumstances around our last-minute reservation. Recommendations: Three meat Pate, Vol-au-Vent, Madeleine.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place during our first trip to Paris and I am so glad we did. It's a little off the beaten path but it's in a great part of the city. The ambiance, the service and the FOOD was outstanding. Bohdan especially made our experience. He had great recommendations, was attentive and extremely personable. Best meal we've had here - and that's quite an accomplishment.
google avatar

Yelp
Presentation was great and ambience is very chic. Maybe we should have tried a third dish, but the vol au vent and sole that we ordered were only so so.

Yelp
They know nothing about the hospitality side of restaurant business. After my meal started they seated a father with very young, very loud child next to me. Refused to move me (even though it is not my fault). I had to pay a fortune for the "privilege" of enduring an almost two hour long tantrum. Servers and management completely ignored my pleas to be assisted but everyone else with misbehaving loud children is fine? If the management is reading this I would appreciate your reaching out to me for a refund. I did enjoy the food and the (other aspects of) service but it was egregious to ruin my evening like that. I make it a point to go whenever I am in Paris, but never again. You have lost a loyal customer and advocate.

Yelp
Sitting here at dinner in MEXICO and randomly thought of my incredible time at Drouant, only to check my Yelp and realize that I never wrote a review. Unfortunately, I forgot our servers name but he was incredible! The food was delicious! Service was quick but not too quick, we had a leisurely long meal and a Mille feuil for dessert as well as the large Madeline. I really wish I could have more detail here, because this may have been the best culinary experience I've ever had (also partially because of the service). Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Utter failure. Perhaps the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We arrived early for our reservation and we're seated immediately. The sommelier was helpful is self the right bottle. The service was a bit slow but unremarkable. We opened a nice bottle and received our starters in a reasonable amount of time. And then the kitchen seemed to grind to a halt. We awaited for almost 90 minutes for our mains. We comfortably finished our bottle of wine while waiting. We were not the only ones. Other irate customers, after waiting a similar length of time, led without receiving their mains. After about 75 mins, we asked for some timeline guidance. 10-15 mins later, the sommelier returned to advise us that he could not say when we would receive our food. At that point, we requested the check and ended our fruitless wait. The restaurant deducted 20% from our bill for the wine and alls we did receive. That's something, but it doesn't make up for the utter shit show that was dinner at Drouant. Good apps. Good wine. Unable to serve dinner. Avoid this clown show. Drouant - if you'll do the right thing and refund me, I'll update the review to reflect that action.

Yelp
My husand and I were looking forward to come to this restaurant. We searched menu, studied course. Like many reviews said, caviar was good choice, and langoustine was fabulous. But Steak! Someone said "Get the duck!" We should have ordered duck. Steak doesn't have flavor as much as we expected like a steak house. And they do need sharper steak nife. But service was super delicate in a good way. We were satisfied. Oh and they have good wine list. We didn't need to spend thousands to pair wine. They did know how to handle wine.

Yelp
Found this on trip advisor and yelp. Reviews were good. At one time it was even Michelin rated. Inside it's upscale, yet cozy and intimate. We had an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert. The foie gras was amazing. (I know it's inhumane and I'm going to hell but we were in Paris...). Entrees were the duck and fillet. GET THE DUCK! It was awesome. I'm from texas so I'm spoiled when it comes to beef. If you're from texas don't get the fillet it is tough for a fillet. ( plus they need to sharpen the steak knives). The flavor was good though. I wish the fries had more of a potato taste and not so thin and a little on the greasy side. Still though it was a great meal. And for dessert we got the millefeuille. My husband said the whole evening was worth it just to have that!

Yelp
Fantastique!! Drouant is a beautiful, cozy restaurant located off Opera and is easily accessible by trains. Beautifully and tastefully decorated for the holidays. The restaurant was hopping upstairs with private parties and the restaurant was busy with customers. Despite being very busy, the staff was very attentive and hustling to accommodate everyone. The attention to quality and detail down to the flatware, glassware, and wine selection was impressive. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The crispy langoustines and the raviole de homard (lobster) in a cognac reduction where delicious but I adored the risotto a la truffle. It was difficult to choose a dessert. The Paris Brest was recommended and it did not disappoint. Thank you for a fabulous evening! I will be back! www.Drouant.com

Great food and great service! Appetizers and main dish was the best. The crème brûlée was to die for! Every one was so friendly

Yelp
Very well presented, and very good. Would definitely recommend for a French dinner. Service was outstanding, and has a great French atmosphere. It has very good wine, and the recommendation of wine was well received. PS- Get the carrots!

Yelp
Drouant, its staff and food were magnificent. Lovely place, people and delicious food.

Yelp
Every dish was fabulous. We would go back if we were in Paris again. The staff was knowledgeable and timely.

Yelp
The appetizers were great. There was a good selection from the menu. In particular I liked the crab and avocado. The vegetarian soup was a nice mix of fava bean and mint and peas. Very refreshing. The miss was the steak and fries. The pepper coating was slightly over powering and it was overcooked. Fries were under cooked. Bright interior inside made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I think there are much better options around. The steak entree was what was underwhelming and killed it for me.

Yelp
Wow. Best food we had on our week long trip. We arrived for dinner around 10:30 - we learned everyone eats late in Paris. The servers all spoke English, which is good considering we don't speak more than 5 words of French. They had an English menu and helped us with recommendations. My wife elected to go with a four part appetizer that consisted of a pate, some kind of cold drink thing, fish sticks and one other thing. She loved it. I I had a "Entricote" steak (basically sirloin, as near as I could tell) with frites. The steak and the fries were outstanding. Of course, trying to get anyone in France to cook the steak beyond the point where the cow stops mooing is very difficult, but it was cooked enough for me. My wife had a Melon soup for her main course. Couldn't pay me to eat cold Melon soup, but she absolutely loved it. She swears there was something spicy added to it, but according to the waiter, he checked with the chef and it was just melon. Either way, she raved about it. She also enjoyed the desert - kind of a napoleon type thing, but with raspberries. It was called a millefeuille. I had a vodka lemon drink/ice cream thing for desert. It was awesome. We so loved it we intend to go to the chef's restaurant in NY next time we are there!
google avatar

Zack Q.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service, and very nice authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, the lamb shoulder, and the plat du jour (a kind of beef stew on Saturdays). They offered a four plate selection for dessert, all of which were very well executed and enjoyable.

Yelp
Mission: find a restaurant that is open on Easter Sunday in France, when Sundays are already notoriously difficult for such a task. Also, find one that will take a reservation for 8. Finally, that has a place 6 weeks before Easter Sunday (isn't already booked out). Drouant delivered on all the prerequisites and then proceeded to deliver a meal not just memorable because of impeccable service and cookery and atmosphere, but because it was in the company of old and new friends. I will not soon forget it, and I won't forget Drouant the next time I have a special occasion. Even better, Drouant is in my own arrondissement so there was a little "neighborhood pride" as the cherry on top. PS they set up high chairs for kids for a family next to our table. No pretensions here, just old-style hospitality, dressed up in finery and couture.

Yelp
Concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant. Excellent!!!! A must if your in Paris. Delicious food, beautiful setting and great service. Highly recommended.

Yelp
A wonderful dinner overall. I wanted to like it more. Everything was really on point alas nothing blew my mind. While in Paris it's likely my palette was over saturated. I probably needed to starve myself a few days to fully appreciate this meal! LOL.

Yelp
A place to try for the history and the charm of the individual salons. The food is good yet not amazing. A plus for the appetizers with the choice of 4. My preference goes for the scallop carpaccio. The Wednesday plat du jour, 'vol au vent' while being typical french comfort food, was not to my taste. Not impressed with the desserts either even if the éclair au chocolat, revisited with chocolate 'scoop', was creative. What made this lunch enjoyable was the private salon, 'Chez Colette', that allows intimate conversation when needed. The service level is high end, and completes the experience a nice way.

Yelp
Paris, France-Excellent flavors, especially the snail artichoke parsley soup. Great presentation and flavor- memorable. The service was off with meals Mixed up and second serving of coffee but tee food was very good.

Yelp
We had a very enjoyable dinner last week at Drouant. I recommend going with the choice of 4 appetizers, each one of which was enjoyable (oysters, seafood tartare, foie gras, and fried veggies). The slow cooked beef was tender, really delightful. I also appreciated that it wasn't too loud, service was excellent, too.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Some really special items and some that were average. Tartars were great. Napoleon was the best ever.

Yelp
Ordered: Steak Tartare, Four Small Fish dishes Starters, Selection of Sorbets Price: circa 100Euros Review: My favourite Parisian restaurant. Tucked away just behind the Opera House. The service over the years has deteriorated a little, and perhaps it is as a result of the economic downturn in Europe...who knows! The food, I come here for their Steak Tartare everytime I visit Paris. Ask for the Steak Tartare to be a little spicier, and this fulfils my insatiable appetite for Steak Tartare. A fete in itself. Everything else on the menu is fantastic - but for me. I have very few words to say. Come here for their Steak Tartare, and you will not be disappointed at all!

Yelp
Great service. They spoke English and took care of me as a single diner. However, the food wasn't as amazing as I had hoped though still overall high calibur. It was all presented very elegantly, but there wasn't anything that really jumped out at me that I'd have to go back for. It seems like a very safe choice for fine dining and a great place to bring a date or client. I had the classic starter which actually is 4 mini-dishes. It consisted of: Leeks with vinaigrette, Duck foie gras with Port, A poultry terrine, and Egg-mayonnaise. Everything tasted as you'd expect them to be but did not exceed expectations. I chose to go with the suckling lamb shoulder confit. It was a bit drier than I would have liked and doused with sauce. Overall, it was too heavy but that could have just been a poor choice on my part. The vegetable sides were all good but certainly also made use of heavy sauces. I had the fruit tart for dessert which was just met expectations. They were really slow in giving me the bill so I guess that's a plus that they weren't rushing me but it was also a major delay in getting out of there. I'd probably give it another shot if I had more time in Paris.

Yelp
The food is French and very good. The place is really nice, staff is friendly. Atmosphere is excellent.

Ron S.

Yelp
Nice restaurant on a quiet street off the rue de la Paix. Clearly on every concierge's list because only the waiters spoke French. At the table next to us a sales rep for a medical products company spent the entire dinner selling stents to a cardiologist. She even had a PowerPoint on her laptop! One of the conceits of Drouant is serving four small dishes for one course. We had this for entrée and dessert, bracketing a more conventional main course. I hope the other Americans were paying attention, because the food is very good. The number of tastes makes specifics hard to remember, frankly, but vegetables, meat and fish were all excellent. The freshness of ingredients in Paris restaurants is just amazing. Preparation was inventive if not as innovative as in multi-starred restaurants. The wine list was a little pricey compared to peers but not shocking and we had no trouble finding something reasonable to order. Desserts were killer. Americans who are staying in palace hotels will probably hear about Drouant from their concierge and they should definitely take the suggestion. It's a true creative cuisine experience in a pretty room with zero intimidation and absolutely no need to speak French. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Not sure I'll be back next trip because I want more of a challenge, but I'm very glad to have eaten here and recommend it highly.

Yelp
The restaurant has a lot of greenery on the outside and looks quite lovely. As you step in, the first thing that came to mind, it's not very French. It seemed more American than anything else, with its spacious rooms and very large individual tables. In fact, it's a little more upscale than our usual go to places for lunch. I felt somewhat under-dressed, oh well. The maitre'd immediately asked to take my jacket and seated me promptly. We were 5 for lunch My accent must've been pretty bad, because they gave me an English/French menu. They have a prefix menu for 44€. I was taking a photo of the menu, and our waitperson said I could keep it, how nice, but she told the others, jokingly I was the only one who could keep the menu. Flattery will get you everywhere. No expenses were spared for the written menu. Very glossy and elegant looking. Almost like a fancy wedding invitation. 1 person had the langoustine soup. I tasted it and loved it. It wasn't as creamy as I anticipated nor as thick as most bisque are; the consistency for me was perfect and it had a nice strong langoustine taste. I could immediately tell that they used the whole langoustine to flavor the broth, because I distinctly tasted the "mustard" or as we say in the U.S. "tomalley." Another person had the beet salad, and he loved it, stating it was very, very good. One person and I shared the "4-corners of the world" entrée, which consisted of lacquered shrimp with raita, falafel with sesame, steamed John dory, and a buffalo mozzarella with pesto and grilled pistachios. It was a really nice combination of different flavors. Net-net the entrées were good. We had a bottle of "Chateau Ame de Musset--2007" at 58€, which the whole group loved. Now here's where it gets interesting. 1 ordered the goose accompanied with a sausage. I tasted the goose and sausage. I liked the sausage, it was moist and tasty; however, someone forgot the "braising 101" rule. Braising meat too long can turn meats into very dry and sometimes "stringy" meat. It seems almost contradictory, since one would think that braising or boiling meats for long periods would soften and keep meats moist. On the contrary, braised or boiled meats should also be looked after, and once it's just tender, it should be removed. There comes a time when the meat reaches a "no point of return"; too dry and/or stringy. Unfortunately, the goose in this case was both dry and stringy. 1 other person had the venison stew. At first glance, it did not look appealing to me at all. I had a little taste of it. I personally did not like this dish. It was stewed so long that the wine actually became bitter and perhaps the wine used was a strong "oak" flavored wine which intensified its bitterness. The meat was very dry and stringy as well. My partner had originally ordered the blood sausage with a saddle of hare, but they did not have it. So, instead he got a mélange of different grilled meats. He felt it was just indescribable and just OK, nothing special and almost dull in taste and presentation. A hit was the scallops. Our companion felt the scallops were great! I had the crunchy pork belly. The large piece of pork belly was accompanied with filets of pork, which were actually quite good and delicious. However, the large piece of pork belly which included the skin and a little bit of the fat was not as crispy as I would've liked and the fat was not as creamy as it could've been. It should have been braised longer with maybe a little crisping of the skin under a salamander/broiler, or even fried. We all got a side of different vegetable casseroles accompanying our dishes. A carrot and cabbage dish, braised endive, pureed squash and pureed turnips. And, later they gave us a fifth, which was a buttered creamy spinach which I enjoyed a lot. But I'm a sucker for anything spinach. The portions were quite large, so we opted to forego dessert, and had coffee instead. But to our pleasant surprise, they gave us a few chocolate truffles with a confit of sliced orange. In summary, it's not a typical Parisian restaurant, and could literally be any place in the world. And, that includes the food as well. The service is excellent, from the maitre'd to the wait staff as well as the bus-people. The entrées were hits; however, most of our plats were questionable. Personally, I was not boiled over by the food, it was just uninspiring, and just OK. , I was really surprised that the "braised" dishes were executed so poorly. As a friend stated, "I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either." However, at those prices I expected more. The bill for 5 of us came to almost €300 which included 2 glasses of white wine and a bottle of red wine. Would I go back? probably not.

Yelp
Perfect dinner. Lovely food, lovely service. If the weather is good, there is a wonderful outside eating area with a blend of privacy and hearing the sounds of the city. Wonderful. Merci!

Yelp
If you want french posh nosh this is the place for you. Absolutely fantastic food in wonderful surroundings. But it's expensive. So, share a starter 25euro. They all come in four little pots that are easily shared. same goes for the dessert. Don;t worry about looking cheap it was our waiters recommendation to share. I had the duck pie for main course which was divine. But I had to tell my friends that I ate a pie that cost 38 euro. This place is for a romantic dinner for two in Paris in a Michelin style restaurant. Staff great can speak english. Whole meal for two with wine and endless bread 150 euros

Yelp
Delicious food! We really enjoyed the lamb shoulder and macaroni and cheese. The chocolate mousse was also delicious for dessert. Great atmosphere-would highly recommend.

Yelp
Went to Drouant before a late evening show and had a really good dinner! A nice thing about Drouant is that they serve dishes as a set of very small plates, so you get a taste of different things throughout your meal. We enjoyed two of their specials for dinner - a duck pie and a roasted pheasant, both of which were exquisite. The wine connoisseur also suggested a nice red wine to pair with the dinner which was pleasant. The decor is formal, and the restaurant is quite large, so it feels a bit impersonal, but the wait staff was very polite and spoke English well, as our French is still quite poor.

Yelp
A very special experience and my favorite from my weekend in Paris. Quite simply, the food was well prepared, the service was robust and friendly and the wine was on point. They were also kind enough to let me use my French.

Yelp
The five-star review here goes for the agneau du lait (very young lamb) that they've been serving here. If you see this, book a table quickly, find the nearest meat-lover near you, and run, run, run! This is a seasonal dish, and you do not want to miss what may be the best lamb ever. The ridiculously tender agneau du lait is carved at your table and served on a bed of beans, potatoes, asparagus, garlic cloves, and heaven. They say it's a total of 1.2 kilos shared between two people, but you will eat all of it. You will still be thinking about it the next day. The appetizers are good, too. You choose a theme (vegetables, fish, world cuisines, etc.) and they give you four tiny dishes. They were incredibly nice about the whole no-wheat thing ("Oh, don't worry, you will have a wonderful evening here") and happily substituted foie gras for one fish dish that was breaded -- very generous, and delicious.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant and what great food and service! We were looking for something special in Paris, but did not want to break the bank. Drouant hit the spot. We've eaten in many fine French restaurants and would definitely return to this one, for another nice occasion. It is not inexpensive, but very generous in all respects in what it delivers. Cost was about $180 Euros for two with a nice but modest wine. Excellent service, warm and refined atmosphere. ****
