"After a walk around the headland, where the pretty beaches are too many to count, head to the little port. At the restaurant, tuck into the catch of the day, turbot fillet, oysters from Sterec, or the lovely sole meunière, which the chef, a pro who has worked under chefs Michel Trama and Stéphane Carrade, complements with a bowl of new potatoes, fine green asparagus, snow peas and confit red pepper. Pleasantly informal atmosphere." - Michelin Inspector

I advise you to take seriously consideration of choosing this restaurant given my bad experience. The waitress at this restaurant was discriminatory toward Asians and foreigners who don’t speak French. When my daughter and I arrived at the restaurant and took a seat, the waitress came over to clean the table. Suddenly, she accused my daughter of taking a 2-euro coin that had been left by previous guests, claiming it was her tip. Since she was speaking French, I didn’t fully understand what she was saying at first. I kindly asked another table behind us what was going on, and they tried to explain her complaint to me. I was shocked and upset. I told the waitress in English: “No, young lady, my daughter did not steal your money. That coin was one I gave her to play with the Gacha machine next to this restaurant. The machine only accepts two 1-euro coins, not one 2-euro coin.” But she didn’t believe us. I then went inside the restaurant (since our table was on the terrace) and asked to speak with the manager, who fortunately spoke English. I explained to him that this was not about the money—I asked him to check the security cameras and told him I was prepared to call the police to prove my daughter’s innocence. I clearly told the manager two things: 1. My daughter did not take the 2-euro coin from the table. 2. The waitress needed to apologize to my daughter in front of the other guests. After pressure from the manager, the waitress finally apologized to both my daughter and me in front of everyone. This was a very upsetting experience. My daughter is only 13 years old, and the incident caused her emotional stress. However, it also taught her an important lesson: she must stand up for her rights.

Excellent food and really friendly service, with a nice view on the port ftom the first floor. Prices are good too for the area, I'd say even a bit lower than other restaurants on the port. Definitely worth a try.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and found the staff to be friendly, the menu to be comprehensive, and the food to be delicious. The view over the port was also delightful. I'd definitely recommend visiting.

If you are looking for freshness and quality of the seafood (crabs (araignée des mers), langoustines, shrimps, bullots, oysters, homard), in generous portions, and reasonable price, you will find what you are looking for here! We also took menus to share which was perfect. Non-seafood food was good quality (e.g. faux-filet was super tender!). Simple and efficient dishes overall. Environment and cleanness could be overall improved (corners were a bit dusty, menu cards were not super clean… and we were among the first customers for the evening service). Friendly and understanding staff, we appreciated that.

Really friendly people and quite good good. They also have changing table for babies.(which the owner also told us that we may come change the baby anytime even if we don’t eat there)

Best restaurant we went to in Paimpol. Oysters/prawns were super fresh, well presented. Moules marinieres delish. Service second to none, friendly and efficient and price very, very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommend. Great views of the marina too.

Yelp
Great location and parking. I am still collating data on the experience. Like MacGyver I'll figure a way out of this box.
