"At Eels, the dishes flirt with "bistronomie", and some of them focus on eel (the clue is in the name). The young chef, Adrien Ferrand, already has considerable experience under his belt (six years for William Ledeuil, first at Ze Kitchen Galerie, then KGB). And now he has a place of his own. A success!" - Michelin Inspector

Terrible food -- this is the most expensive meal I had in Paris but the worst of them all. All the dishes have weird flavor, carrots are plain, meatballs are way to salty, and the fish has no flavor as well (the texture of the fish does not feel fancy either) They put perilla leaves in the dessert and totally ruined the chocolate mousse -- it's somewhere too bitter and somewhere too sweet. I have a hard time finishing any of the dishes. It's too bad, I can't believe I wasted 2 hours in the restaurant.

We had the full tasting menu with the wine pairing. Thoughtful dishes, an interesting mixture of classic and modern combinations reimagined in an elegant way with some extra details. Very well balanced, especially with the wine pairing, which actually also included a beer and a cider. The chardonnay and the orange wine were incredible, and the pear cider at the end was the perfect palate cleanser. The restaurant does pack a lot of people into a relatively small area, and the temperature was somewhere between cozy and too warm inside. The pace felt a little rushed, though the full meal took around two hours so I can't imagine it would be practical to go slower. Overall, it was compositionally beautiful and a really nice experience.

Very creative way of putting food together on a plate, from both presentation, taste and texture. The lunch menu was super worth it! Reservation recommended. Service was friendly too.

We went for lunch on a Saturday. Although the food was delicious. I felt it was a bit expensive for lunch, 180 € for two people...each with one glass of wine, an appetizer each and main course each. I understand that during the week it's 39 € lunch special for two courses. I had the candied carrots followed by the beef cheeks. My friend had the poultry appetizer which he said was a bit undercooked and the sea bass which he said was also a bit undercooked, but still delicious. Obviously wit the fish it was ok, but not with the poultry. I wouldn't mind going back, but I'd only go during the week for the lunch special.

We ordered the dinner tasting menu and wine pairing. First of all, the overall food is phenomenal. Michelin star level in my opinion, even better than some of the Michelin restaurants I went. Appetizers, the fish main, and the mochi dessert are all very impressive and well balanced. The pork is not good - too much fiber and too tough. Although I had low expectations on the pork to start with since it is a meat that’s hard to cook well with. Wine pairings are great too - all on the natural wine/slightly fermented experimental side. Secondly, let’s talk about service. They’re extremely busy, so as much as attention to detail they wanted to be, it’s impossible. We had to ask for water several times during our meal. They forgot about the bread until we asked for it too. Also waiters dropped the entire tray of utensils, broke one glass around the kitchen - both were loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear it. It was just chaotic but I understand they’re just very busy. One small detail: the chef himself passed by our table and noticed the sauce dropped on the table and wiped it which I appreciated. Thirdly, atmosphere - very cute place with open kitchen. You get to see how food is being prepared. However, it was too hot. All my friends and I were sweating like crazy during the meal lol. Overall, with such a reasonable price and high level tasting menu, I shouldn’t even be complaining about the service and atmosphere. Just some genuine opinions for room for improvement. Will definitely come back!

The starter, smoked eels, was really delicious — the hazelnuts were wonderfully fragrant and crispy, such a clever pairing. The main course, rockfish, was tender, though the grapefruit sauce was a little on the bitter side. The dessert with figs was slightly too sweet for my taste, but I really enjoyed the refreshing hint of mint. Thank you for the warm and attentive service, and for the dishes full of creativity.

Google
It is the BEST menu I’ve ever had in Paris!! if you like different kinds of spices this restaurant is a MUST! their menu is so creative and wine choices from the tasting menu added even more flavour to the food! Fabulous choices of wine, very refreshing. Amazing use of spices, wide range of use of ingredients and ideas from different cuisines! Absolutely love it! They also change their menu seasonly - this is a restaurant that i will definitely go back

Google
The smoke eel is amazing, the main pork is a bit too salty but the meat is melting when you take first bite in your mouth and the top layer of dessert is too sweet. Was here for lunch and the price is affordable so there’s nothing I can complain and definitely will visit again. But have to said the smell of restaurant is oily because of the open kitchen.

Yelp
The humble & tasteful interior doesn't reveal the extraordinary experience that unfolded. This lunch was one of the finest meals I've had in over a decade. The service from start to finish was both pleasant and professional. The smoked duck starter with coleslaw and beetroot purée with a galangal cream sauce was just incredible. Tender & flavorful and just beyond expectations. The main of the most perfectly cooked tender chicken, gnocchis, grilled leeks, Sparassis, fig condiment - chervil and smoked herring left me speechless. This restaurant will receive a Michelin star in short order and will be impossible to visit. Therefore, upon our departure, we booked a chefs tasting menu dinner reservation for two days later! CAN'T wait!!!

Yelp
My favorite meal in Paris! First course has wonderful smoky flavors and perfect, soft textures. Second course was fun texture wise, there was a sweet crunch every bite. The third course I felt was heavy on the peas, but not in a good way. The pea flavors weren't elevated in any sort of way, and it began to remind me of the days I just cooked with frozen peas as a broke student haha. Could've done with more acidity or some other strong pop of flavor to complement. The pork was a tiny bit heavy on the fourth course, but delicious nonetheless. The true highlight of the entire meal was the eggplant that sat with it. Beautiful texture and really great job on making it the star of the plate (for me). Dessert was tasty and how I like it. Refreshing, slightly minty, has soft and crunchy parts! Nothing more to say here. We also did the wine pairing! The sommelier/server was extremely warm and accommodating, and the wines were tasty! A fun pairing, for sure!

Yelp
Eels is art as much as it is food. The visuals and flavors stun with color and contrast. Standouts was the smoked Eels entree, which melted in the mouth and had many layers of flavor. The trout was also one of our favorites, a melange of textures and flavors. Service is perhaps the best in Paris, with an incredibly knowledgeable sommelier, friendly, helpful staff, and a kitchen that runs like a machine. The well appointed interior is a place for romance and celebration. I've been lucky to dine here twice over the last two years. Looking forward to visit number 3.

Yelp
We are in Paris and it is hard right now find a place to eat without reservations. The restaurant is 500 feet from our hotel and we were fortunate to get a same day reservation. We tried the tasting menu, it was 5 dishes, $89/person, wine pairing is $54 for 5 glasses, water is not free, distilled water was $7/bottle. Food was delicious, service was great. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Had the tasting meal at Eels and it was fantastic. The decor for the restaurant was very nice: white and clean with some green accents and exposed stone. The waitstaff was extremely nice and very detailed when explaining the paired wines we had with each course. We had the smoked eel (I mean, you had to expect it, right?), a chicory and cheese course, pollock course, a braised beef cheek course, and the desert course was a type of mousse with a peanut brittle type filling which was delicious. The wine pairings were generous and I got tipsy enough were I forgot to take pictures of most of the courses. It was a very nice meal.

Yelp
Absolutely loved our dinner at Eels a little over a month ago! Was perhaps our favorite dinner in Paris! Every single one of the courses was incredibly flavorful and well balanced. The fish and pork we had was perfectly cooked -- super tender and buttery. Our waiter was very kind and spoke English. We also the intimate and romantic ambiance. We'll be back when we're next in town!

Yelp
Incredible meal. Helpful staff, great food, and unpretentious ambiance. Try the tasting menu--you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
I'd say this is one of the best restaurants I've tried in Paris. We were recommended this restaurant by my friend and booked a table without doing much research. When we came around 1pm on a weekday, the restaurant was almost full. We ordered two set menu including appetizer, main and dessert. It was 37 euros per person which I found very reasonable. We had eels and chicken for appetizer, duck and fish for main and crunchy coffee and butternut squash tart for dessert. All the dishes were appetizing and delicious! They had many different ingredients on each dish that worked well together. Service was fast and English friendly. I'd definitely come back when I come to Paris next time.

Yelp
Located in 10th Arrondissement, Eel reflects its bustling, working-class district in the heart of Paris, home to two of the city's busiest train stations, Gare du Nord and Gare de L'Est. The decor is contemporary with cast-iron pillars, vintage tile floors, and exposed brick walls create an industrial-chic backdrop for nervy and inventive dishes. The best starter is the smoked eel with apple, liquorice, and hazelnuts, and endive braised with scamorza and chestnut cream. Mains feature grilled a yummy sweetbread which was satisfying. The chicken with black bean sauce is also creative . 29 Euros for a 2 courses, culinary elevated lunch, it is a great find and good value for the quality of food you get.

Yelp
A friend recommended this restaurant and deemed it the best meal he had during his trip in Paris. And I fully agree! My friends came here for lunch. You have to make a reservation beforehand. The restaurant quickly became full and some people did try to walk in, but were turned away. First off - the pricing was not on the $$$ scale. I believe it was like 45 euros for lunch, which included a dessert. A memorable dish was their white fish and steamed eel dish. Absolutely amazing! They utilized traditional french cooking methods and incorporate unique ways of bringing out the subtle flavors of each ingredient in the dish. The wine was also pretty affordable. Highly recommend for all to make a reservation if you are stopping by in Paris.

Yelp
Eels was by far the best meal we had in Paris. The tasting menu and wine pairing is a must. Each dish was well layered and the wine pairings were perfect. Stand outs for me were the eel and duck dishes. The service was impeccable, the team at Eels truly make you feel special and are there to make sure you are having a great time. The sommelier was knowledgeable and his descriptions of the wine provided an elevated experience. A must go to.

Yelp
My wife and I tried the five course meal where they picked the meals for us. We also chose the wine pairing option. We were both pleasantly surprised on the quality of the meals. It was truly a remarkable experience tasting such amazing food with intricate pairings of their wine selections. The Service was impeccable. It was refreshing to hear the servers' knowledge of each wine. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time. It will be nearly impossible to have a meal there without it.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of tasting menus, but my wife loves it. One good thing is that she's always dragging me to awesome places and so is Eels. Super professional service. Sensational food. Even I liked the eel and duck, and I usually don't order such dishes. Wine recommendations with the dishes were spot on. An overall fantastic experience.

Yelp
Food here is beautiful and delicious! I have eaten here twice and very impressed both times. Definitely get the fixed price menu so you can try different menu items. Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Just amazing gastronomy and delicious. So many delicious flavors. We did the chef choice tasting meal with wine pairing. So well done. I am super picky about high dollar food experiences and this one was near the top.

Yelp
I made this lunch reservation very late and unlike most fine dining establishments in Paris the staff at Eels didn't mind. They got me seated and proceeded to thrill me with skilfully prepared dish after skilfully prepared dish. My tastebuds have never been happier. It was truly a joyful experience. The Eel dish was most memorable but the aubergine could make a vegetarian out of any meat-eater. The sea bass was as beautiful as any plate put before me and twice as delicious. Service was a joy. Truly one of shining stars of this great city. Go

Yelp
Oh wow. Let me make this simple for you. They have the ability to combine quail and homemade peanut butter into such an enjoyable dish.

Yelp
Top notch service and food. Don't let the name deter you. Dinner was absolutely sublime!

Wyn P.

Yelp
Restaurant was able to squeeze us in graciously without a reservation with only an hour and a half to eat. No problem. Food was sublime and the wine pairing was perfect. Neither of us had Imbibed anything quite like the selection. Service was impeccable, food was perfection and the night was perfect. Made a reservation for the following night without hesitation. Best meal in Paris so far. Can't wait until tomorrow.

Yelp
Amazing service and food. Order the set menu with wine pairing, it is a great deal and the wine pairing was perfect. Best meal in Paris.

Zoe T.

Yelp
We had a truly delicious tasting menu. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Paris. What helped to make ours a truly special meal were the excellent wine pairings that the young and clearly very talented sommelier selected. We would happily come back.
