"The setting ticks all the boxes: an elegant 19th-century house in a charming cobbled courtyard, located close to Aarhus Harbour yet also within easy rich of the main streets. Danish ingredients are to the fore in good value dishes which lead with a Gallic edge, but there are international influences to be found here too, exemplified by the likes of roasted cod ‘Basquaise' with clam sauce, mild curry, fennel and Granny Smith or duck confit with crispy potatoes, braised endive, Madagascan pepper and bigarade sauce. Wines from their exclusively French and highly impressive cellar accompany." - Michelin Inspector

We went to Restaurant ET in Aarhus for what was supposed to be a business lunch, and ended up sitting there for almost 7 hours. That alone says something about the experience. We started with oysters, which were spot on. Served simply with lemon, a small crouton and sauce – really delicious. Then I had the beef tartare. It was good, nicely spiced and tasty, but very different from the classic style. Tartare is always interpreted differently: sometimes chunky, sometimes mousse-like, sometimes more like a salad. This one was very much like a tuna salad in texture. I liked it, but I personally prefer the more traditional version. Presentation also wasn’t as nice as I’d expect from a Bib Gourmand place. And the portion of fries that came with it was strange – literally 6 or 7 fries on the plate – though the bearnaise served on the side was excellent. Dessert was also really good, beautifully made and very tasty. After the meal we stayed for cocktails, and they were absolutely amazing. The drinks kept flowing, and the owner even came around with chartreuse which was a really nice touch. What really makes this place stand out though is the atmosphere and service. The restaurant is tucked into a little courtyard in the center of Aarhus, which is a beautiful setting. The staff were warm, professional and genuinely welcoming – not just during the meal, but for the entire afternoon and evening we sat there. Even though it’s a fine dining place, the vibe was relaxed and low-key, which made it feel comfortable. All in all, a fantastic experience. Great food, top-class cocktails, beautiful location and some of the best service I’ve had in Aarhus.

Had a fantastic experience at Restaurant ET ! The service was knowledgeable and attentive while remaining discreet, making for a perfect dining experience. The food was excellent, with generous portions, and their wine list is truly impressive. Prices are also very fair for the quality you are getting. The only small detail I’d like to see improved is to replace the paper tablecloths with fabric ones, they feel a bit out of place in such an elegant setting. They truly deserve a Michelin star—not just a recommendation!

I visited Restaurant ET almost exactly one year after my first visit. And again; they did not disappoint with tasty, powerful and big portions. The service was professional, knowledgeable but still laid back and humorous. We had many courses, snacks, champagne (a very nice and yeasty Xavier Leconte), white wine, red wine, cognac and were very happy with everything. This place is an institution in Aarhus and it is not hard to understand why 👏🏻

Came here with a school group of around 20 people and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. As we had not eaten all day, we went through bread basket after bread basket. It was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. As a vegetarian, I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by how filling and good the set menu was for me. The first course was Falfalel and the second course was poached eggs over gnocchi and vegetables. The dessert was this delicious ice cream and cake combination.

Excellent place in Aarhus!.. Service and staff was top-notch!... All aspects of the food was great 😊... Asked for a switch of vegetables instead of meat for the main course. It tasted even better than the original 😊... We will definitely be back again soon

We had 4 dishes menu. Good food, but not typical French cuisine than I expected.

Great food, wine and service 🤗 The restaurant can accommodate anyone’s food preferences - vegan, vegetarian, gluten free. Just need to ask the waiter/ waitress. I had the vegan menu - it was delicious. Definitely recommend to visit. 🤗

This is it! An amazing food-experience, with very attentive waiters, who where able to pair each of our complex dishes with superb wine. The smoke in the wine complimente the veal hearts to a higher experience. The could be said with each dish. From the thick oysters, to the heavenly snails and don't even get me started on the fish. It was cooked to perfection - it is hands down the best piece of fish I have had to date. And the price i total for four courses, one glass of champagne, and three glasses of wine each: 2000,- kr. Very very nice. Well done chef, well done.
