The Best Îles-de-la-Madeleine Restaurants | Eater Montreal

"Another relative newcomer, Eva has terrific views of the L’Etang du Nord coast and its floating drydock wreck, and has terrific food to boot. Dishes like pork and lobster bisque or Oka rabbit ragout are hearty odes to Quebec, but sometimes you just really want a fried chicken burger and Eva does that, too. This is definitely another Îles-de-la-Madeleines restaurant you’ll need to make a reservation for." - Joel Balsam

Great food, very creative dishes. I had a fish, Earl Grey tea, and a brownie for dessert. I would have preferred a slightly higher proportion of fish and fewer vegetables. The brownie was good, but I don't feel that the combination of brownie and jam is the best. The homemade blueberry jam was very nice.

Fantastic, personalized service and delicious, locally sourced ingredients married in a cozy atmosphere… what more would one need? We had oysters and halibut ceviche as an entrée and risotto with scallops and the cod (they ran out of halibut) for the main dish. Desert: carrot cake. Wine? Just speak with the owner/sommelière who is super fun and knows her wines! We had a bottle of Sauvignon blanc (Un Saumon dans la Loire), which was her personal recommendation and an absolutely fantastic pairing with our meals. Did I mention the incredible sunset views from the deck? Book in advance.

Best place to eat at Îles de la Madeleine but ensure to reserve ahead of time.

I rate Eva 5 stars because it’s a place where the food is good! A good 5 stars for a beach resto with good service and ambiance.

Fantastic food, creative options and quick service. Friendly staff as well. The funny coffee left me feeling a bit funny. 768i/768i or 10/10 however you like to scale it

Food ok but service and cleanliness left a bit to be desired. Low value as prices are too high, even for the Maggy islands because for prices like that it would be necessary to deliver the whole package of cleanliness, service AND food quality.

Our best evening and meal in 10 days of seeking the best food experience on this trip. We had the sweet potatoes soup, haddock filet, the calamary and the oysters. Everything was tasteful, well done and very fresh. Christopher is masterful and Valerie was welcoming, cheerful and attentive. A winning formula on these amazing islands - Quebec's best kept secret! A must-visit if you are a foodie. Nous y reviendrons. Merci beaucoup!
