"It’s well worth remembering this restaurant as there are very few of this standard in the Osona area, plus it’s an excellent option along the officially designated Catalan Romanesque Route.Located next to the town hall, it boasts an impressive stone façade, plus an ante-room bar area (where you can order Sala’s less expensive set menus) which leads on to the dining room. Chef Antonio Sala, who has started to hand over the reins to his sons (one in the dining room; the other in the kitchen), creates a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, sticking with his classic dishes but without closing the door to contemporary influences. He uses the best seasonal ingredients, and has a special affection for black truffles, wild mushrooms and game. He also hosts interesting food-themed events." - Michelin Inspector
What a beautiful place, very welcoming despite our lack of Catalan speaking. The food was incredible, local produce of mushrooms, game, foie gras, berries. The recommended wine went well, and a look round the cellar was a nice touch. Sergi was very attentive and we enjoyed conversing with him. Highly recommended.

Very interesting concept, there is something good to eat for all budgets. All in the family here, from the bartender to the chef. I am really glad we stumbled upon this.

Amazing food in a small village. You choose the right dishes and dessert from a daily menu, you pay a fixed fee. The wine and other beverage menu is also very diverse. Sergio is a good host, you should definitely stop by.
The hotel is an old but well designed place on the upper floor of the restaurant. The lady in charge of cleaning was very friendly. But the lack of air conditioning and refrigerator in the room was a big problem in the summer heat.

Stopped by enroute to Andorra for a breakfast and coffee, lovely service and an incredible takeaway breakfast. Will be back!

Amazing three courses menu... local catalan food right in the center of the little village next to the city hall. Even in a non festive day we had to wait for a while as it was fully booked and the waiters were very fast. The desserts were also home made and the ioghurt mousse with red fruits was amazing.

The restaurant is a michelin star well deserved, worth visiting in spite of its location in a rather remote small town. It's a great culinary experience if you fancy their classic/rural style, quite different from that of the big city. They have been operating as Fonda and Restaurant for long so they really "know what they are doing". Their "menu degustacio" was very good, for me a perfect balance of diverse dishes, all of them featuring high-quality local and regional products. They also offer a simpler, cheaper option of daily menu at the Fonda part.

One of the best places to eat in Catalonia,1 hour from Barcelona.||Specially the hunting degustation menu served the last weekend of January and the two first of February.||But also the rest of the year, every season cooking meal time.||Also is possible to sleep in the same building if you don't want to drive.||I know it but I can not explain the rooms because I never did it.

I was eating last friday with some friends in Fonda Sala.||As every year, the degustation menu is an incredible exemple of diferent kind of meat that is not possible to eat in other restaurants.||Two of us were there for the first time.As other years, they were surprised of the level of the variety and quality.||For me,was the 25th year I eat there the degustation menu.||I'm also surprised every year of the quality of these place.||It's 10+
