Gaya par Pierre Gagnaire

"On the site of the former Ferme Saint Simon (an institution dating back to 1933), Gaya par Pierre Gagnaire has all the distinctive signs of a gourmet temple and its bright blue façade and pretty awnings catch the eye, as is often the case of select establishments. An exclusive clientele comes to wind down in the chic brasserie that is fashionably stark but has retained its gleaming copper and magnificent bar. The focus is on good food in a bid to cater to modern French sensibilities with a seafaring slant (carpaccio of seabream, pink radishes and grapefruit; giant langoustine, cream of Paimpol beans, scallion onions) and a fondness for veggies, although meat now also makes the occasional guest star appearance on the menu (“Venetian style” calf’s liver, for example)." - Michelin Inspector

Got a reservation for lunch pretty easily. They have amazing service and the waiters and waitresses are pretty attentive. Not a fan of escargot but we got the prefixe menu and everything else on it was amazing! The skate fish was particularly buttery and flaky. Also pretty good portions for a 3 course meal.

We had such a lovely evening there, celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were well taken care of, including the staff graciously accommodating those in our party who didn’t speak French, and any specific dietary requests. The portions are a bit small, but the flavours and quality were unassailable. Several of us had the Wagyu beef, and I will say it was by far the best I have had. The côté d’agneau was also proclaimed “the best” one diner had ever had. Will it be pricey? Yes. But I will venture to say that as long as you can afford it, you won’t regret it.

Beautifully located in an alleyway. With reservation I was seated in the back next to a table with people wearing shorts. Service tried to sell me additional servings and wasn't attentive. Seafood platter felt completely unseasoned and came significantly short of my expectations. As if taken from the sea and directly plated. [Visited in June 2024, restaurant had one Michelin star at that time]

Waiters were friendly and down to earth. Food was amazing, I got the seafood platter and the flavors were memorably fresh and unique. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Paris!!

Food taste does not reflect one-star michelin standard. Our group had the seafood platters and the John Dory fish which was not fresh. Was not impressed with the food at all

Excellent experience the food is executed beautifully and menu is full of choices for every taste. The wine paring was very interesting and makes you discover unique wines. The atmosphere is a combination between very sophisticated in the dining room and very swanky vibe at the bar this makes Gaya very appealing for formal and less formal occasions. One improvement point for me would be to have preset menu not just a la carte menu.

Incredible service, experience, and food. We had an amazing seafood experience for starters with some champagne and hope made bread with brown butter. Following, we had scallops, sea bass, and shrimp. WOW is all I can state. My favorite was the shrimp, it was incredible, slow cooked. Some amazing vanilla ice cream dessert and some apple pie. Incredible 🤌🤌😁

Almost everything was perfect, I loved my main and dessert, the wine choices were phenomenal and my girlfriend adored every course, I couldn't stand my starter (cold Jelly and fish for €48? No thank you), thankfully the rest was divine and the evening was wonderful

Yelp
Very memorable and pleasant dinner with an extensive wine selection, white glove service and a calm but not snobby atmosphere.

Yelp
My fiancée and I tried gaya thanks to a gift card. The staff was very welcoming, especially as we were the first customers (only comment is that it took 25 minutes for them to bring the bill at the end). The food was interesting; thé amuse bouches were tasty, the appetizers were creative and full of flavors, the saint jacques were nice too but unsurprising (they could have cooked them better. Felt just steamed). But the lobster was very disappointing; there was basically no lobster in the plate, just 4 tiny pieces of lobster and some vegetables for 65 euros. They offer a great choice of alcohol and their sommelier is very knowledgeable and gives good recommendations. A good restaurant but pricy for the results in my little opinion

Yelp
One star Michelin restaurant serving mostly sea food. Service was friendly, restaurant was nice and food was great. However, I didn't feel the wow factor that one would expect from such a restaurant. It was good, but not spectacular.
