"Gaya par Pierre Gagnaire has all the trappings of a gourmet temple, starting with its suitably eye-catching bright blue façade and pretty awnings. An exclusive clientele comes to wind down in the chic brasserie that is fashionably stark yet supremely comfortable. The focus is on enjoying good food courtesy of a delicate, precise score in the zeitgeist with a seafaring slant: carpaccio of seabream, sake-perfume salmon roe and seafood ice cream; terre de Sienne langoustines, creamy coconut milk squash, yellow mango; Gaya apple tart with poppy-perfumed chantilly cream. In their own words: Rather than tradition or modernity, we aim for “tenderness”!" - Michelin Inspector

We had such a lovely evening there, celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were well taken care of, including the staff graciously accommodating those in our party who didn’t speak French, and any specific dietary requests. The portions are a bit small, but the flavours and quality were unassailable. Several of us had the Wagyu beef, and I will say it was by far the best I have had. The côté d’agneau was also proclaimed “the best” one diner had ever had. Will it be pricey? Yes. But I will venture to say that as long as you can afford it, you won’t regret it.

Got a reservation for lunch pretty easily. They have amazing service and the waiters and waitresses are pretty attentive. Not a fan of escargot but we got the prefixe menu and everything else on it was amazing! The skate fish was particularly buttery and flaky. Also pretty good portions for a 3 course meal.

Beautifully located in an alleyway. With reservation I was seated in the back next to a table with people wearing shorts. Service tried to sell me additional servings and wasn't attentive. Seafood platter felt completely unseasoned and came significantly short of my expectations. As if taken from the sea and directly plated. [Visited in June 2024, restaurant had one Michelin star at that time]

This is a nice place to come and the personnel are nice (and the mustache on the sommelier can't be beat!) but the food was not impressive, the sea snails completely tasteless (maybe I wasn't actually supposed to eat them?) and compared to the quality of seafood we had in Bretagne (not to mention what I had in Portugal) for a small fraction of the price, just bad. Quite unsure why this place has a Michelen star except to prove the point that they mean little; maybe I ordered the wrong things but...

LOVED our lunch here. Wine list is fantastic and very accessible. Fixed price lunch was good, efficient and fairly-priced. The maigre was beautifully cooked. Dessert was just ok, but fine for a lunch menu. The absolute best part of the lunch, however, was the service team. Friendly, engaging, attentive—beyond five stars for the experience as a whole and will return.

Waiters were friendly and down to earth. Food was amazing, I got the seafood platter and the flavors were memorably fresh and unique. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Paris!!

Google
Food taste does not reflect one-star michelin standard. Our group had the seafood platters and the John Dory fish which was not fresh. Was not impressed with the food at all

Google
Excellent experience the food is executed beautifully and menu is full of choices for every taste. The wine paring was very interesting and makes you discover unique wines. The atmosphere is a combination between very sophisticated in the dining room and very swanky vibe at the bar this makes Gaya very appealing for formal and less formal occasions. One improvement point for me would be to have preset menu not just a la carte menu.

Yelp
Very memorable and pleasant dinner with an extensive wine selection, white glove service and a calm but not snobby atmosphere.

Yelp
My fiancée and I tried gaya thanks to a gift card. The staff was very welcoming, especially as we were the first customers (only comment is that it took 25 minutes for them to bring the bill at the end). The food was interesting; thé amuse bouches were tasty, the appetizers were creative and full of flavors, the saint jacques were nice too but unsurprising (they could have cooked them better. Felt just steamed). But the lobster was very disappointing; there was basically no lobster in the plate, just 4 tiny pieces of lobster and some vegetables for 65 euros. They offer a great choice of alcohol and their sommelier is very knowledgeable and gives good recommendations. A good restaurant but pricy for the results in my little opinion

Yelp
One star Michelin restaurant serving mostly sea food. Service was friendly, restaurant was nice and food was great. However, I didn't feel the wow factor that one would expect from such a restaurant. It was good, but not spectacular.
