Giewont

"Floor-to-ceiling glass windows ensure that a visit here will be accompanied by spectacular views of the eponymous mountain, which towers 1,895m above sea level. The detailed, ambitious dishes have a Polish heart alongside classical Gallic influences; similarly, local ingredients from the Podhale region are combined with those from further afield, including lamb from France. Complex and sophisticated combinations provide textural variations and subtle contrasts of flavour." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing restaurant. We'll deserving of it's Michelin star. Tasting menu was superb together with the vine pairing and the experience for us was ~4 hours. For the price - around 300 euros per person, a great experience overall.

An amazing place with absolutely delicious food! If you enjoy discovering new flavors, aromas, and admiring culinary artistry, this is definitely a place you must visit. We were lucky to get a table with a breathtaking view of Giewont, which made the evening even more special. We had the à la carte tasting menu and left completely satisfied. The service from both the waitstaff and the sommelier was top-notch. The lady at the reception was also extremely kind and welcoming. The only downside was one waiter—a short, dark-haired man with glasses—who greeted us at the entrance. Upon seeing us in motorcycle gear (we had been riding through the Tatras that day), he felt the need to make sure we could “afford” the place by asking us to check the menu before going upstairs. Dear Sir — judging someone’s wallet based on their appearance is outdated and simply inappropriate. :)

Amazing experience. Youngest polish chef to receive a star. Our server Kuba was nothing short of great and polite. The food was immaculate and the desert called “Giewont” is a must try experience. The cadence between dishes was perfect - with enough time to enjoy the dish and discuss with the group. We will definitely return.

Honestly WOW... !! One of the best (if not THE BEST) restaurant experiences I have had in my life. Prior to coming I have read some of the reviews on Google, as I usually do and most of them compliment the food but not the service... Do not listen to them !! Our server Mateusz has done an absolutely stunning job. Very knowledgeable, professional and mainly just a very friendly guy ! We did not feel under pressure or rushed at all. Everything was spot on, I would even argue that the service and food deserve 2 Michelin stars in comparison to other Michelin restaurants I have been to. He spoke both Polish and English and explained everything in great detail. So once again Mateusz 'THANK YOU !! You have made our night and You really deserve a big pat on the back and a big glass of champagne from the boss !! :D The food was delicious and very creative. The trout and truffle dish and the Wagyu fat broth for the amuse bouche were absolutely stunning !! Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. I wish we could try the rest of the menu. I had a quick chat with the chef at the end of the night and you can tell he simply loves what he is doing. Big shoutout to the bar team for making their take on a French Martini for my fiancé which she adored !! The decor, surroundings and views are amazing !! Once again thank you to the 'Giewont' team. Your hard work really pays off. I will definitely be back and I can't recommend it enough !! Adam Sz.

We booked a reservation as soon as we heard that they finally got a Michelin Star! ⭐️ The restaurant is perfectly located with a beautiful view of the mountains. The details of the interior is intricate and made locally by a famous artists. (Explained to us by the waiter). We were well taken cared-for by the staff, explained every detail of the food, I. Both Polish and English. Also knowledgeable about the wine pairings. We ordered the tasting menu and happily did so. Everything was delicious. (seasonal menu) Also got the previledge to tour the cigar room and whiskey room and the sleeping accomodations as well. Plus we go to me t the young talented chef and congratulated him on the star. Perfect experience!

We looked for a place to celebrate the birthday when we were staying at Zakopane and choose this restaurant. The service was excellent, just need to improve the explanation in English about every dish. I've ordered seasonal tasting, the saddle of venison was delicious, other dishes were good except the veal thymus that was tasteless. My partner ordered Foie Gras, onion soup and tenderloin, every dish was delicious. We also get one desert as a gift that was very nice. Highly recommended.

Excellent taste experience, super service, great ambience. We visited the restaurant Giewont today and booked a 6-course menu (1x classic, 1x vegan) with wine pairing. It was excellent. Each wine perfectly matched the individual dish. Our waiter Kuba was very attentive and quick. The food tasted fantastic. We liked it so much that we will go there again tomorrow.

A very exquisite place, building, service and food for a more affordable price, especially for a Michelin star restaurant. The architecture, the interior and everything is unique, very elegant and classy. We did not plan our visit ahead so we felt a bit underdressed for the occasion, but the nice staff did not make us feel uncomfortable at all, on the contrary! The degustation menu offers a very satisfying, flavour rich experience which lasts at least two hours and besides that it is amazing, fine dining quality food you will be well full by the time you finish all courses. I recommend the seasonal menu for a more intensive experience for your taste buds. Would definitely recommend to gourmets and anyone who would just want to give fine dining a try. You won't regret it! :)
