"The "H" is for Hubert Duchenne, a chef hailing from Normandy, whose CV includes stints working for Akrame Benallal and Jean-François Piège. Behind the discreet, elegant façade, the intimate space done out in a chic yet cosy style accommodates fewer than 20 diners. The dishes are deftly done and always on point, whether razor clams with parsley (their signature dish), pollack with amaranth seeds – puffed and as a risotto or barbecued Jersey beef with creamy carrot and activated charcoal: almost every plate enchants the palate thanks to a remarkable balance of roasted and tangy notes. The chef's inventive and skilfully executed dishes, based on premium seasonal produce, form a single set menu – you're in for a treat!" - Michelin Inspector

We had a wonderful dinner here during our first night in Paris. Restaurant H is a small, intimate restaurant with a fantastic tasting menu. We opted for 7 courses and each dish was accompanied by an excellent wine. Our server was very attentive and explained all the dishes and wines in great detail. Highly recommended.

This was easily one of the best meals we’ve had on this trip to Paris. The dishes were creative and full of surprises - each course came with layers of flavour that evolved as we ate, with thoughtful textures and unexpected combinations that worked beautifully together. Service was warm and professional from start to finish, and the small touches, such as the homemade caramel sweets at the end, made the experience feel complete. Overall, a memorable dining experience that we’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for something refined yet inventive in Paris.

Google
This is what you expect from a Michelin Star restaurant. We did the 7 course tasting menu. There was no menu, so we were told what the food was as it was presented, so I don't remember every component of each dish. The food was delicious every bite was like a party in your mouth. The amuse bouches were scrumptious. I can't remember what they were, but they didn't disappoint. The next course was a foamy creamy mushroom soup kind of dish. Then the razor clams which we were told is their signature dish and is always on the menu. While clams were never high on my favorite seafoods, this is definitely the best way to eat clams!! The next dish was the most perfectly cooked scallop I have ever eaten with hazelnuts in a cream sauce (our favorite dish of the evening). Next was the pollock which was also perfection. The sorbet was the freshest sweetest orange, with cream on top and a sliver of green olive. What an interesting and unique combination!! The main course was chicken. Well cooked but we were surprised to see chicken as the main meat dish. They then brought a cheese course (foamy cheese). It was goat cheese (which I absolutely hate) but my husband and daughter gobbled theirs and mine up. When they set the table for dessert, there were two spoons and a fork. We thought maybe we were supposed to double fist the dessert course, but no, there was a pre-dessert, a vanilla cream type dish, and then actual dessert which has chocolate and ice cream. My daughter wants to make pre-dessert an everyday thing in our house now. They also brought out caramels and chocolates after dessert (a post dessert if you will), but I forgot to take a picture. It was a lovely evening, food was amazing, service was impeccable, So glad we were able to dine here and experience Restaurant H.

Google
Incredible, start to finish. The atmosphere was great, the kitchen was impressively compact and optimized (Open for the patrons to see) and every single course was incredible. The service crew kept delicious fresh bread on your plate, and the courses came out promptly...but not too promptly to feel rushed. There isn't enough time in the day to describe the 7 course meal properly, so all I can say is that for the value...there's not much out there that can compete with Restaurant H. What a bargain, what an establishment, what a chef. Top honours.

Google
Fantastic tasting experience. Every course was interesting and full of flavor. Service and ambience were nice. It was an added touch that you can see the chef and team go through their craft through the open kitchen window. Definitely worth a visit.

Google
First visit in april and we had the 5 course menu. Went back in september and had the 7 course menu. Every dish was spot on, for us the lobster was the high. Good wine pairings. Will be back on our next visit to Paris!

Google
Incredible dinner at the Restaurant H. Had the chance to meet M. Hubert Duchenne who was a very humble gentleman. Every plate was cooked to perfection and the use of uncommon ingredients/spices to recreate more familial flavours was an absolute gem of a touch. The dinning room attendants carefully explained the meals and the wines of the accord and were very warm and welcoming.

Google
What an incredible place. One of the best tasting menus I have had for a very long time. I would definitely recommend a visit when in Paris.

Yelp
Food and service exceptional & fun! I had the wine pairing which was perfect. Came Feb 2023 w/ hubby & cousin who appreciate good cuisine, but not foodies like me, enjoyed their experience too! Highly recommend. 1st Michelin experience in Paris didn't disappoint at all.

Yelp
Such a low key, elegant but cozy Michelin starred restaurant with open kitchen. Limited tables of course, so you have to make the reservation ahead of time (we did this a few weeks prior to our visit). Their set menu (aka surprise menu) was definitely reasonably priced, €105 for 7 courses and €85 for 5 courses. Love the combination of the ingredients, very creative while well balanced from both taste and texture perspectives. The service was attentive, the waiter specifically asked us if any dietary restrictions and replaced the dish with some other ingredients for my friend, he provided a very detailed introduction of each course and managed the pace of serving the course very well. Highly recommended.

Yelp
One of the best meals of my life. I went there with my wife for our wedding anniversary while in Paris. We did the 7 course meal, and I took it with the wine pairing. The food was impeccable and the staff was charming, engaged, and knowledgeable. My one critique would be the wine pairing. I am not a sommelier but do have a taste for fine wine, and my pallet leans toward red. The pairings leaned heavily toward white with a course with vermouth and a course with sake. On top of it all, the price was very reasonable, and if I lived in Paris I would frequent Restaurant H for special occasions, and I would say if you are visiting I would make the time to visit.

Yelp
As promised, I returned to Restaurant H, and what a difference a year makes! Because I have delusions of grandeur, there's a part of me that says the management of Restaurant H read my review and altered the personality of the restaurant. Whatever the cause, Restaurant H is now friendly, warm, engaging, and the food is even better. Restaurant H is deserving of two or three stars at this point. Jean-Philippe has taken over the role as sommelier and captain at Restaurant H, and his charisma and charm permeate the room. It is like night and day from the last time we dined at Restaurant H. The food. The food. The food. This chef needs to hire a public relations team, because his culinary skill is on par with the masters of French cuisine. Hey, I have been dining at great restaurants for decades. It isn't fun getting old in the least, but age does provide a great foundation for evaluative analysis. I know restaurants! Restaurant H is one of the best in Paris. This was the set menu: Amuse-bouche: Lemon and trout eggs tartelette, Greek yogurt and smoked eel cracker and potato crisps with beets ketchup. Entrée 1: Spinach reduction, cèpe cream and praliné; green coffee roasted cèpe. Entrée 2: Sea scallops confit in beurre noisette, céleri purée and fried celeri; brown butter jus. Poisson: Line caught cod ballotine cooked low temperature, Jerusalem artichoke purée and crisps, bouillon shrimps and flamed Jerusalem artichoke. Trou normand: Granny Smith apple sorbet, Ardberg 10years foam. Viande: Black onyx beef filet cooked by the barbecue, sweet onion cream, burnt bread crumble and meat jus. Pré dessert: Marinated grapes with vermouth, bernache sorbet, grape skin and white grape siphon. Dessert: Madagascar vanilla mousse, confit lemon, kalamansi sorbet and " gâteau feuilleté It was incredible. This, for 90 Euros per person. Are you kidding me!!! The scallops and cod were divine, and I don't use that word! When it Paris, you must dine at Restaurant H. Listen to me. At the end of our meal, Jean-Philippe asked if we want to meet the chef. I was astonished. This was the chef who was so distant the last time. Every table was brought up to the open window to meet the artist creating this incredible food. What a difference a year makes.

Best meal ever. Friendly staff and knowledgeable wine pairings. The food was phenomenal- they will definitely get a second star soon!

Yelp
Restaurant H finished up a lifetime worth of fine dining at world renowned restaurants with a bang! My wife and I visited Paris for our honeymoon and were excited to try out the michelin lunches. Restaurant H, my yelp friends, is a place you can't afford to miss out. We came here during lunch, and despite our tardiness, the staff were incredibly helpful (bilingual) and sat us down without any chastising. I really loved the menu options listed on the metal menus and politely declined from the extra truffle experience. I particularly loved the chef's take on all of the mushroom dishes, and was delighted to be served two different styles of duck in very generous portions. I will mention that restaurant H is a little bit harder to find and I'd recommend downloading google maps onto your phone before you set out on this culinary adventure. The chef is also super cool and very amicable.

Yelp
I've truly peaked. This has been the most intense culinary experience of my life. Everything we ate was pure art, and I can't even identify half the ingredients. We got the 5 course set menu for 70 euros a person, but it actually turned into like 9 courses. 1: Potato crisps, smoked eel cracker, lemon tarts, presented like art. Great starter with a variety of different flavors and textures that all balance and complement each other. 2: Freshly roasted mushroom on top of a spinach reduction with mushroom cream. The mushroom comes out sizzling hot and tops off an amazingly melange of spinach/mushroom underneath. The umami flavor is brought out so strongly that I find it hard to believe this dish didn't have meat. It was that intensely rich. 3: Scallops with celery puree, topped with a fantastic sauce. Usually, I don't like scallops, but it was merely the delivery vehicle for all of the flavors in the sauce and puree. 4: Cod with artichoke crisps and shrimp puree. The cod doesn't taste like much by itself, but once again it is used ingeniously as a carrier for the amazing sauce in which it is steeped. The crisps add the texture balance to round out the dish. 5: Whisky foam topping a green apple sorbet. Super intense flavors and very unique, unlike anything I've tasted before. The whisky foam has a strong alcoholic taste while the apple sorbet is intensely sour, yet the two of them combined produced such a complex and interesting taste. 6: Steak, seared to perfection and topped with an amazing sauce. One of my favorite courses tonight. 7: Sorbet, grapes, and grape skin. A very interesting dessert course that my small brain cannot even begin to completely analyze. 8: Crisp wafer atop vanilla mousse. Vanilla mousse is amazingly rich and sweet, and the wafer gave it a nice crunch. 9: Assorted chocolate balls (some caffeinated), like Lindor chocolates except 10x better. Filled with chocolatey cream inside. We finished it off with caramels, which looked like they were made in-house and were the best I've ever had. They were salted just the right amount to bring out all the flavors, and melted in my mouth. I'm sorry if I sound like a plebeian; I am not used to fine dining at all. But everything tonight was fantastic. Every dish was so carefully thought out and balanced. Every flavor had a purpose and a balance. Every piece of solid food was a vessel for the underlying sauces and flavors. Our waiters were super helpful, explaining each dish and carrying out each part of the courses meticulously. It felt like an intensely personal experience, as if we were invited into the kitchen of a close friend (who also happens to be a genius chef). So this is what Michelin starred fine dining is like, huh...? A perfect culinary experience with very devoted staff and passionate chefs.

Yelp
This place is a total hoax. I made a reservation here over a month in advance to ensure getting in and my whole party was extremely excited as it was our last night in Paris. We showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation for 4 people on a Saturday night and were met by the manager who told us our reservation was "for the waiting list". Even after I showed him a confirmation email and seeing a table for 4 set for a reserved table, he still turned us away I am assuming because we were 4 young American men. This was extremely disappointing as it was Saturday night and all other restaurants in the area were booked with reservations. Needless to say, this place is run by jerks and needs to figure out its reservation system as it really ruined our evening and honestly the end of our trip.

Yelp
First of all i would like to say that this is, as of now, my favorite restaurant in the world. Plain and simple. I was browsing all the one Michelin star restaurants in Paris and i was using a combination of the Michelin Guide, Google and Tripadvisor. After a somewhat lenghty deliberation i decided to book Restaurant H. I am very glad i did. The welcome was warm and professional, we vere seated at the table in a small but very intimate dining area. The restaurant has only 7-8 tables so this contibutes to the cozy feeling. We chosed the 7 course menu without the wine pairings. Normally when you go to a Michein Star restaurant you end up liking 3 or 4 out of 7 courses, maybe loving one or hating one but here, me and my wife, we LOVED every single bite. It was exceptional, well balanced, tasty, daring and succeding with flying colors in all of them. 10/10, easy. And then there was the personal, that made us feel at home and at ease. They made the night a delight. Please, just please ignore the bad rewievs, i honestly have no ideea if they dined in the same restaurant as us. Last but not least we got a chance to meet the chef, a genuine, modest guy who was glad and happy that we enjoyed his fabulous work of art. A sincere thank you to all at Restaurant H. Thank you for the best dinner we ever had. Kind regards, Radu and Anca.

Yelp
We adored our dining experience in September at Restaurant H. The food was fabulous and beautifully presented and the two young men serving were delightful, funny but professional. We had the 5 course menu with wine pairings and it was plenty for us (we are in our 60's and can't eat as much as when we were younger). The chef was charming and modest, the atmosphere very comfortable and causal. It was our favorite Paris dinner this trip!

Yelp
Food is excellent. Wine pairing is excellent. Wine list is excellent. Service is excellent. Price is reasonable. What more can i say. Love it and wish they were in nyc.

Yelp
We just left the Restaurant H after a 2+hour meal. We selected the 7 course meal and are glad that we did. I won't begin to describe each course because it would take too long. Each course was an amazing combination of textures flavors and temperature which was then contrasted with or balanced by the next course. When we made the reservation, we were a little worried about the five or seven course fixed menu but were swayed by the reviews. We are glad that we listened to the reviews. Our meal was fantastic and the service was excellent. This young chef has a bright future. We have paid much more for a meal and experienced much less. I would encourage you to plan ahead and make your reservation at Restaurant H

Yelp
Wow! This resto is amazing. Took a chance and booked a reservation for my birthday. We were glad we did. From the first (of many!) amuse-bouche to the final bite of dessert, every course was fantastic. The presentation was very attractive and every dish was cooked to perfection. Service was attentive and friendly. Decor is what you'd want to find in a small space. All in all, one of the best meals I've ever had! I look forward to our next visit to see what Hubert will create for our dining pleasure.
