"Sören Herzig's restaurant is located in the 15th district, on the ground floor of the historical Dorotheum-Fünfhaus (previously a pawnshop). In this listed building dating back to the 1920s, the dining space was once an auction hall and has a minimalist, industrial-style atmosphere that is reminiscent of a New York gallery – relaxed and distinctively stylish. Gorgeous hardwood flooring, comfortable designer chairs and artwork by the likes of Peter Jellitsch and Clemens Wolf underscore the tastefully chic interior. The spectacular rooftop terrace affords breathtaking views, making it an ideal spot for an aperitif or a nightcap. As for the food, the modern dishes are made from the best ingredients and without gimmickry, eg "Tristan lobster [tempura], pumpkin, pear, koji rice" "aubergine [barigoule], beluga lentil, almond, cinnamon blossom". The set menu comes in a large or smaller format and can also be made vegetarian by prior arrangement. The adept service and the sommelier's insightful wine recommendations are the icing on the cake." - Michelin Inspector

...the secret of innovation is to see what everyone sees, but think what nobody thinks.... (Robin Sharma) wonder: this is what appear, when you start to discover every dishes, presented at Herzig, anytime from a different waiter, anytime with a growing enthusiasm; the, devoted, connection between kitchen and restaurant room is brilliant and effective; all the menù go around a particular research and combination among spicy, savory and sweet, mixed together, with genius and inventiveness; parfums, flavours, sensations, perceptions, appear and disappear like different sound waves, creating a fantastic mix-up of emotions; Soren Herzig should be kept under surveillance, by the best culinary guides, because of his special menù full of surprises

Very good dishes (except maybe the Melanzzani, it tasted to much curry…), wine pairing perfectly paired without selecting higher-end and too complex wines. Table arrangement could have been done more privately, the was slightly too much proximity and visibility to the other tables.

Made it here the very first dinner for me in Vienna, great services and very thoughtful staff, where every detail is meticulously curated to offer an exceptional dining experience. From the elegantly plated dishes to the precise service, it goes beyond my expectations. Highly recommend to try out the wine pairing (non-alcoholic) it was so good , and level up the dishes.

Had an amazing dinner last night. From when we first walked in and was greeted warmly , to when we left and got a goodbye wave from the somelier who we had be chatting to throughout the night , who was attending another table, ....everything was perfect. We sat and started with an Amazing glass of Champagne, then an amazing degustation began . Course after course of perfectly balanced flavours , paired with specially selected wines, it was hit after hit. (We had 1 wine pairing that was not to our taste) This was a world class dining experience, on par with any of the best meals we've had around the world Highly recommend And no issues with speaking English, as all the staff and the chef , spoke English. No excuses to miss this while in Vienna .

Excellent dining experience. Prior to the meal we were taken to the upstairs terrace to enjoy a stunning view of Vienna. We opted for the standard 7 course meal with no wine pairing. We did however add the Wagyu to the tasting the menu. The amuse bouche and every course was absolutely fantastic and beautifully presented. A note on the Wagyu, when it was offered, there was no mention of price. It came out to be around 60 euro per person. A note on service. The service was excellent for the most part. However, I found it a bit lacking compared to my other experiences at different Michelin rated restaurants. I mentioned the lack of price for the Wagyu addition. My partner had wanted to order a glass of wine with the meal, however a sommelier did not show up to ask about wines until about three courses in. It was not the biggest deal as she did end up getting her wine, but at a Michelin rated restaurant, you do have higher expectations. Overall we still had an amazing experience and enjoyed every aspect of the meal thoroughly.
