Amazing food and friendly service. My wife and I were greeted at the door by the owner who took our coats for us and directed us to our seats. When we say down he offered us some wonderful sparkling wine that was a great start to out meal. The menu had seasonal items as well as some Bavarian Staples. I ended up going with Filet Mignon with roast potatoes and an artichoke salad. The salad was recommended by the owner, it was the most unique delicious salad I've ever had. Four pieces of thin sliced meat (salami I think) were topped by various vegetables, crumbled hard boiled egg, and halved cherry tomatoes. A light sauce tasted vinegar based and slightly sweet, I've never had anything like it but I loved it. The filet itself was cooked to medium and was the best steak I've had in Europe. The meat itself was flavorful, cooked perfectly even, with no unnecessary extras, which is the perfect way to eat it. However it did come with a peppercorn gravy type sauce on the side that was not overly flavorful, but was ok, I used that only probably the last third of the filet. The meat by itself was a wonderful and didn't need any extra sauces. The side of roast potatoes was also wonderful, I was already full by then and only had a few bites, but I'm glad I made the room to try them. I had ordered wine with dinner, the owner recommended a German Merlot that paired great with the Filet. My wife had a fish plate with rice pilaf. She said she enjoyed it. I enjoyed Restaurant Husar, the atmosphere, the service, and the food. The only downside is that it was a bit expensive, but for the quality it is worth it as a special occasion. My wife and I went there for our first anniversary, and we will hopefully get the chance to go back for other special occasions!
