"This restaurant is housed in an old half-timbered building in the heart of this idyllic little town. The interior design is chic and tasteful, and in fine weather there is a lovely terrace overlooking the pedestrian zone. Serbian-born Zoran Baratovic presides in the kitchen, turning out dishes that draw on classical and Mediterranean influences. We highly recommend the mouthwatering veal shank ravioli. And to accompany your meal, the attentive maitre d', who is always on hand, will provide you with a well-curated wine list that includes one or two interesting magnums." - Michelin Inspector

Well, well, in deed the food was delicious, though the skin of the duck breast could have been grilled a little bit longer to be fully crunchy. The mouse au chocolat was a dream, no doubt about that. What I disliked the most was the behaviour of the waitress and the fact that drinks were used for a good rip-off. 79 CHF for a bottle off a Merlot from Tessin is sporty. Just for the record: for the aperitive one should be asked if one likes ice-cubes in the sherry or not. Next to that something black floated in the sherry when served. Luckily she took the sherry before I could finish it, though it was still half full... I know this behaviour from low class restaurants in Eastern Europe. This arrogance of the waitress which makes you feel not to be welcome; this on purpose overfriendly behaviour just to please the guest...🥴 Therefore this place is recommended for people who like good food but don't care about good service. And beware of the beverage prices. They are exorbitant...😑

We decided to give this restaurant a chance and were positively surprised. We were surprised with the good food and the atmosphere. We were not surprised by the price as good quality has its price. As starter we had a Lamb's lettuce with egg and delicious homemade french dressing. Small breads that were kept warm before serving were offered. We had a choice of white brown or olive bread. Together with butter balls and salt. As main corse I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes I very much enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. Will be back again soon.

The waitress is liar and unfriendly to us. She didn't give us table but she rather to argue instead to approach us nicely. Im pointing the girl who served outside, she very rude.. (01.05.2024)

We were there today for lunch. I must say that this one of the best places I've been in a long while. It starts with a warm welcome, continues with assistance with the coat and even the fact that they have fresh flowers in the bathroom says a lot in my opinion. The interior is very welcoming and tipical Swiss. We ordered the mittagmenu and a soup with safran risotto. Everything was excellent! For dessert we got a tiramisu and a chocolate mousse which were also good. The coffee was good as well. It's not cheap (130 chf bill) but worth it in my opinion. I would totally recommend this place !

Very poor service. Only stopped for a drink. Lady couldn’t bring drinks menu, didn’t allow to pay by card despite having card terminal, didn’t tell in advance about “cash only” and wasn’t nice at all

Yelp
AWESOME find in the heart of town. Ravioli, Risotto an Gnocchi were all first rate and available in different portion sizes. House Pinot (and I never order the house wine) was a great compliment to the food. Smaller portions, so opt for the larger if hungry. A bit pricey, but we've come to expect that in Switzerland.

Yelp
What a really nice atmosphere and wonderful food. Beautiful inside and outside. We chose to sit outside in the lovely downtown stein on Rhine.

Yelp
My wife and I visited on a cold rainy Sunday evening, so not many other guests. We ordered salad, cream of asparagus soup, and calves' liver. The chef also sent a complementary appetizer of shrimp with grilled vegetables, and the breads included walnut bread and olive bread. It was all absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented as well. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overwhelming.
