Restaurant Jimmy

Ordered chicken wings and steak for lunch. Wings were a little overcooked and steak were burned. Both the ladies were lovely with us knowing we weren't from the place. Old but calm atmosphere.

Everything was delicious 10/10 it was my 1st time eating here and ill definitely be back! The manicotti was really tasty the wontons in the soup were thick and fluffy like a dumpling and the ribs were actually the best I ever had in my life. They were breaded and crispy coated in a sweet and sour sauce. Great tasty food!

Ordered the General Tao with rice from Jimmy Restaurant on Uber Eats and was genuinely impressed. At $20, it’s a pretty sweet deal considering how good it is! The portion of General Tao was generous—definitely more than enough for one person. The rice portion could be a bit bigger, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The sauce hits the right notes: sticky, sweet, and not overly spicy. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel here—it’s the classic General Tao we all know and love. The chicken had that satisfying crunch in parts and didn’t turn into mush, which is a big plus. Overall, this was one of the best takeout General Taos I’ve had. If you’re craving something classic and comforting, Jimmy’s delivers.

2 stars for food and 4 for the lovely service. The waitress was so nice and sweet. If it wasn't for her, I would have sent back the over fried (almost burnt) fish and chips. The fish and chips looked nothing like the appetizing picture on the menu...don't be fooled. My meal started off with a bowl of creamy mushroom soup...never had it this way. I like my soup hot. This was warm...so a strike there. The creamy came from broken down potatoes...definitely not from dairy products. Then the fish and chips came out...huge portion. But too much frying for both items. As you can see in one of my pics, there was a lot of batter I couldn't eat. The chips were soggy and full of oil. Don't do it you "trying to be healthy" eaters...just...don't...do...it! My 2 cents worth.

This is a cute family diner that puts a lot of care into customer service. The staff are very attentive and they try to get you the best deal for your food. The coctails are phenomenal! The food comes in very large portions, but was not very good. If you are in the area it's not a bad place to check out especially on a hot day because they have AC!

The servers were kind but they have some of the worst poutine I have ever had! They do not use real squeaky cheese, they use grated cheese on their poutine. Very disappointing! Staff was aware of gluten and were able to propose us some options from their menu.

Today 1 star; I called to see if they had delivered in my area and said no then told us to order uber; i ordred thru uber and they forgot the most important item the sub marin 7 months ago was 5 stars 40$ food is good but 25$ fee is too much still good at 3am the best

Que dire d'une supposée institution du quartier. Les crevettes scampi n'étaient pas tous nettoyé. Le ris frit avait des coquilles d'oeufs dedans. Notre voisin lui c'était un morceau de bois dans son repas. Des frites surgelés Du smoke meat tranché à la trancheuse (un blasphème a Montréal) qui goûtait le smoke meat utilitariste qu'on devrait trouver dans une ville philistine comme Calgary. Tout était ordinaire à son meilleur avec des objets étrangers non-consommables. Un shitshow. Je n'y retourais pas.

Food good, service good but a little tacky and ambiance really tacky. But overall experience was nice ... we enjoyed seeing ppl with hair from the 70's and thinking they looked hot

Jimmy crack corn and I DO care! This place makes Jimmy the Greek feel like Jimmy the GEEK. Fast and friendly even when it's insanely busy. So what they don't speak English. Everyone understands the language of good eating. Bravo. Bravo. Magnifique. Pomplamousse.

Meilleur restaurant sur terre! Surtout quand tu as faim à 2h du matin. Tout est arrivé chaux, salé, juteux et excellent. Belle découverte, je vais recommander for sure! J'habite juste à côté en plus. J'adore! P.S. la soupe won-ton est malade dans tête! MIAM! Merci Jimmy

One of the best spots to order General Tao in this side of Montreal! It's a big portion and at a good cost! Everyone I have recommended it to have all loved it! Available for order directly from them or through Uber Eats and Doordash. :) My dad also loves their smoked meat plate!

Delivery guy was violent. I have been a Cx there for years. The staff is great but be careful. Delivery guy threw the bill at me. Once in a lifetime experience. I did leave a tip. Please don't hire nice delivery people. No need for this waste of time. Food was good tho. Was he expecting 20 tips? Please explain

Great neighbourhood grub. Eclectic menu from Greek to Chinese and pizza to steak. The options are limitless. Glasses of wine filled to the rim for little more than 5$. Nice staff, quick service and good food. Recommend any night out for casual easy going supper here or take out. I'll be back soon

Just called there late last night and what a treat that was. Best Pouzza ever! Called in a large Special Jimmy and a large poutine. Boy was that magical. Really great experience a must try!!!

This place is a long standing pillar of the neighborhood. If you have a group that can't make up its mind about what they want to eat, be it pizza, frog legs, chinese food or a good steak, this place is the perfect place. The waitresses are friendly and welcoming.
