I recently visited Kliemstein – VinoVitis, tucked inside the historic Salzamt in Linz. The space features vaulted ceilings, soft lighting, and cozy corners that feel both elegant and inviting.
I opted for the Bistro Menu, a surprise multi-course experience combining Austria with subtle Spanish and Portuguese touches. Highlights included delicate sashimi of yellowfin tuna in a ginger‑kefir broth, and a masterfully plated venison saddle with gremolata crumbs and Chinese artichoke. The menu transitions seamlessly in flavor and style, showing clear creativity and confidence.
Service and hospitality stood out: the owner personally guided us through the wine list—over 1,200 labels and 50,000 bottles—and created a relaxed, in-the-moment pace that let each dish shine.
Kliemstein – VinoVitis is stylish, soulful, and offers refined fusion cuisine paired with top-tier wine expertise. It’s a special dining destination I’ll be eager to revisit for the next level of culinary exploration
