"We first met Yorann Vandreissche at the Carrefour de l'Arbre, by the cobblestones of the Paris-Roubaix race. He enjoyed five successful years there, but is now basking in the sunshine at L'Arbre au Soleil, opposite Le Lavandou's marina. He shines the spotlight on premium quality produce in a menu that displays a distinct penchant for fish and seafood, eg pollack from Brittany, artichokes barigoule and artichoke purée… Refreshing, contrasts, skill: don't hesitate to come!" - Michelin Inspector

Most of the restaurants in and around the marina that cater to tourists are expensive and ordinary in taste. But this place is delicious, casual and comfortable. Madame's explanations and wine selection are also conscientious.

Delicious dinner! We enjoyed the slow pace of several courses all explained very well. The aperitif was a pleasant bonus. All 4 of us immensely enjoyed our food.

Our family has dined twice at L’arbre au soleil - it’s a lovely 1 Michelin-starred restaurant right on the Le Lavandou harbour. The largely pescatarian food is tasty and locally sourced, incorporating lots of Provençal ingredients like olives, herbs and fish. Their summer 2024 menu is quite classic so nothing too adventurous - our only suggestion would be to add some dimension to the cheese platter (jam or a piece of fruit, perhaps). Aside from the cheese, we enjoyed the other courses - especially the truffled egg starter was delicious! The service at L’arbre au soleil is always friendly, with Bénédicte offering a very personable front-of-house experience. Thank you to the team for the memorable evenings spent at your wonderful restaurant!

Absolutely fantastic. Excellent food and perfect service. I have been to many 1* restaurants in London, this was exceptional.

Some very nice dishes. The three types of tomato and lobster were very nice however the service was abysmal. The waiters and staff fawned over large groups that arrived over an hour after us. Didn’t pour wine (that’s fine I can do it but for an expensive restaurant seems poor quality). Forgot us for over and hour. Menu took over 3 hours as other later customers were served before us (we were the first customers seated). 3 hours was only cut short as fireworks started and my dog was scared so I wanted to leave - final courses were not offered to be boxed up. A restaurant more interested in being upper class than actually being upper class. I given it a year before this new restaurant closes as their “valued” customers find more tacky and vacuous places.

It's five stars undoubtedly. The dishes were espetacular, the service impeccable, the wine pairing perfect. The only thing was that it took too long. 4 1/2 hours for a 5 course meal is a bit much and disturbs the experience.
