Our family has dined twice at L’arbre au soleil - it’s a lovely 1 Michelin-starred restaurant right on the Le Lavandou harbour.
The largely pescatarian food is tasty and locally sourced, incorporating lots of Provençal ingredients like olives, herbs and fish. Their summer 2024 menu is quite classic so nothing too adventurous - our only suggestion would be to add some dimension to the cheese platter (jam or a piece of fruit, perhaps). Aside from the cheese, we enjoyed the other courses - especially the truffled egg starter was delicious!
The service at L’arbre au soleil is always friendly, with Bénédicte offering a very personable front-of-house experience. Thank you to the team for the memorable evenings spent at your wonderful restaurant!
