Restaurant La Bodega Melun

This is an EXCELLENT restaurant!! (Needed to start with that)… I stumbled across it by pure chance: though initially no available seating, the owner - a SUPER friendly lady - called to say that she’ll accommodate us nevertheless. Once we arrived, we asked for our table to be moved from the scorching sun, and again she gladly obliged which was very kind! They have an exquisite seating close to the river bank, which adds the the joint’s charm The staff is energetic and friendly, all literally part of the family! Their food is absolutely delicious! We shared several tapas: calamari with garlic/parsley, fried chorizo with rosemary, chicken rolls with paprika/lemon, potato wedges & their vegetable salad. ALL TO DIE FOR. They even had some seasonal tapas: raw white tuna with fresh vegetables, and cooked tuna belly (ventreche) which was amazing! I then HAD to try their Argentinian rib eye steak with its homemade béarnaise sauce… a must try! Their homemade sangria is fruity, fresh and mildly sweet. The perfect beverage to top it all. The dessert was just as savory as the the rest of the dishes! Kudos to this family-run restaurant! A guaranteed delicious, authentic, Spanish experience👏👏

Lovely place, good staff and service. Years after I left Spain is simply a pleasure to find those tastes again without needing to go all the way there. Recommend to everyone in the area.
