Lunch: The avocado tartare, fish fillet and duck breast are delicious. Reservations are recommended for lunch. There may be no seats available at the walk-in. Located in the old town. Dinner: Eat here again for the duck breast. Tonight's duck breast is perfect. It was the most delicious duck breast ever tasted, and the pumpkin puree also went well with it. Salmon as a starter is okay, but the salmon only has two small slices. Monkfish as a main course looks great (there are pictures to prove it) but the taste and texture are average. Pineapple Tart as dessert tastes so good and fresh. The bread that came with the dish was cold and hard, the worst I have ever had in recent times. I understand that it is difficult for a restaurant to maintain a high level of standard in every dish. Service has always been professional.

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant in Tours, which, unfortunately, is the worst of our 2.5-week trip through France. Despite being recommended by a local, the meal didn't live up to expectations. The prices were high for the quality, and the food was only average by French standards. The main ingredients in our dishes—meat and fish—were well cooked, but the rest of the components on the plate seemed like an afterthought: mostly cold, lacking flavor, and not well integrated. The portions were also quite small for the price. The vegetarian starter was a letdown, with overcooked, cold cauliflower and no crunch. The curry sauce was served cold, which was unusual and should have been mentioned when ordering. The mackerel was cooked well, but the accompaniments tasted pre-cooked, resulting in a dish that lacked freshness and flavor. We decided to skip dessert as we were ready to leave. When the manager asked for feedback, she didn’t seem receptive to our suggestions and gave the impression that she wasn’t concerned about the poor experience we had. There are plenty of better dining options in Tours, especially outside the city center. Our advice: save yourself the disappointment and dine elsewhere.

A simply superb restaurant that serves truly unique and excellent haute cuisine plates. Everything is curated in the small details, everything is simply perfect! Menu changes over the year to take advantage of seasonal food. Service impeccable, atmosphere as curated as the food. Please be sure to book in advance, at least the day before!

Google
Michelin quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. Dined here with my family. The service was great despite the restaurant being very full. The food was outstanding, there was not one thing that my entire family did not like. The tiramisu and ice cream were favorites. The cored cheese was an interesting novelty that had some very unique flavors.

Terrible service. We stopped in. Noone was dining yet. Asked for a table. Greeter made a huge scene that we did not have a reservation. Then, pointed to a table and just said "there". The table had both seats in the aisle. We moved our seats 90 degrees in line with the adjacent tables. We were told NO rudely. People started arriving and were having to crawl over us to get past. If the seats were 90 degrees, there would have been no problem with the table. Greeter rudely said NO ajustment. So, we left.

Place was excellent. Three course menu for a very reasonable price considering the quality. Scallop was great. Of course I was surprised by the amount of coconut milk used... Good despite not being a fan!

One of the best meals I’ve had. The meal was incredible from the cheese at the start to the dessert! The wine list and suggestion were also amazing. I would come back for lunch if we weren’t leaving tomorrow morning!

Yelp
Everything about our meal was excellent and exceptional. The food was delicious and the service was great. We ordered prefix menu of one starter, one entree and one dessert for 42 Euros. The tartare, monkfish and duck filet were our favorite, the flavors were exceptional and the waiter suggested great wines to pair with each of our entree. The restaurant is located at the city center of Tours in a small alley, easy to find with Google map. The space is not very big but cozy and warm, the quality of the food is beyond what we paid for, highly recommended!

Yelp
I recently ate a meal here whilst visiting the fine city of Tours. I was here conducting some business and we ended up dining at this establishment. The restaurant is in a building that's probably 400 years old, yet has been kept up to code and all local regulations. I ordered a starter, main dish, and dessert, and all were simply tremendous. The starter was a "ravioli" with apple, celery, and some other tasty flavors. For my main dish, I ordered scallops that came with vanilla flavored squash, avocado, and some kind of passion fruit and mango acidulous seasoning. I literally wiped my plate clean with bread. My dessert was a chocolate cake with a melted center and it was breathtaking. This was easily the best meal I had during my 4-day stay in France.

Yelp
The restaurant was recommended to us by our AirBnb host after we asked them for some guidance after being disappointed on our first night. Thankfully we were able to get a table without a reservation as it was indeed excellent. It was also obvious that it was a local favorite with several tables clearly occupied by couples on a date night. We decided to have 2 courses each and share a dessert. For starters we had the foie gras and a warm salad with quail. Followed by entrées of fish and pork loin. And a dessert that was essentially a very indulgent Brioche French toast. Everything was quite impressive but I do think the first course and dessert triumphed over the entrées. In any case I'd go back again if I were back in the area. The service was also on point and friendly.

Yelp
This restaurant is a total gem. Got a reservation for two on the day of. The menu was simple and diverse, from seafood, poultry and meat options. Our server helped pair out meals with a bottle of red wine. The ambiance was great. We were not rushed and the courses were brought out in perfect timing and order. Exactly what I expect from a fine French dining experience.

Yelp
Great find in Tours. It's tucked away a little from the hustle. Food is amazing and they do a great job pairing wines as well.

Yelp
Our expectations were high but our experience was mixed at la Deuvalière. While my foie gras appetizer and my wife's steak were perfect, my fish ("maigre") was undercooked. Informing the waitress of this elicited no response. In desserts, the moelleux au chocolat was succulent but the baba au rhum was odd and underwhelming. As we finished our meal, a very large table was seated next to ours. This meant the end of a quiet dining experience and made us eager to leave. La Deuvalière has some very strong assets mixed with flaws.

Yelp
Having just arrived in Tours today we went to Yelp to find a place for dinner. Le Deuvalière was the first restaurant listed. It was highly rated, and only a 5 min. walk from where we are staying so we quickly made a reservation and went as soon as it opened. The hostess/waitress was extremely pleasant and very accommodating to my nutritional peculiarities. The prices are excellent. 31€ and 34€ for the 2 or 3 course meals. They have 4 or 5 menu choices for both entrées, plats and desserts. They don't offer a la carte, just the formules. I got a delicious avocado and smoked salmon millefeuille entrée and my husband got foie gras. Both excellent. Even the tiny gingered cucumber garnish on my plate was excellent. We both got the Paleron de bœuf Black Angus. The potato "cake" that came with it was the best potato dish my husband ever had. I got vegetables instead of the potato and the steak was sitting on a bed of 3 different kinds of cauliflower, each with a slightly different taste. The meat, which I believe is beef shoulder, was a tender as filet mignon. We did not get dessert. The whole experience was absolutely delightful. The restaurant is in a very trendy area and on a Wednesday night in October the restaurant was packed as was the whole area. This was a really great way to start our touring in Tours.

Yelp
Are you kidding me? This is a serious place to eat if you are in Tours looking for an amazing French restaurant. The ingredients to all of our dishes were fresh and each of the two main courses we ordered were perfection. I had the scallops dish in which they were cooked, seasoned just right, and served with white asparagus. My fiance ordered the beef filet which came with creamed potatoes wrapped with bacon. Our dessert was basically what I can describe as a chocolate lava cake, but these words I feel bad even writing because it was more like a chocolate foodgasm of deliciousness. The other major thing I should mention is the atmosphere. This place is tucked away in a little street off the "old town" of Tours. It's a little difficult to find if you are not savy with using Google maps and are not familiar with the area. However, using Google maps we had no difficulty finding it. The restaurant is small in typical French style. There is a feeling of eating in an old rustic inn with its wood ceiling beams and brick walls with a large fireplace in the main dining area. Our whole meal was under 100 Euros which included a cocktail and a half bottle of wine, with two main dishes, one appetizer and one desert. If you are ready for pure gastronomical joy, visit this place!
