Restaurant La Halle aux Grains

My friend invited us for a tea time. We loved the location. We didn’t have to be in line because we had a reservation. That came with a salted order and a sweet one. We also got tea which was so beautifully presented. Service was great and the place was nice and quiet. We enjoyed it.

A Culinary Delight in France I recently had one of the most wonderful culinary experiences in France at a charming restaurant that exceeded all expectations. The menu was superb, offering a delightful array of amazing food options that left me thoroughly impressed. One highlight of the meal was the exquisite asparagus with Tahini and mushrooms Consommé. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was executed flawlessly, truly a culinary masterpiece. Each bite was a delight to the senses, showcasing the chef's skill and creativity. To top off the meal, I indulged in the chocolate fondue, a timeless classic with a 41-year-old recipe. The rich, velvety chocolate was a decadent treat that left me craving for more. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal, and I savored every last bite. The service at the restaurant was exceptional, with attentive staff who made sure that every detail was taken care of. Their passion for food and hospitality truly shone through, adding to the overall wonderful experience. I left the restaurant feeling grateful and satisfied, with a newfound appreciation for French cuisine. Thank you to the restaurant and its staff for a truly memorable dining experience. I can't wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again.

We had a great lunch with 3-course executed to perfection (especially the trout!). The cocktails were deliciously subtle. Even the coffee was accompanied by elegant chocolate coated grains and biscuits. We were seated at a table with a panoramic view of Saint Eustache Church and met with very professional and well timed service. The whole experience was well thought through, the story telling was coherent from menu to decor, and mirrored the history of Bourse de Commerce (ex. Halles aux blés).

I went twice to this place. Once dinner and another time lunch. Dinner service was very good. Well explained, timing between courses was good. Service was also excellent. But I don’t know whether it was intended to place three tables in a row with Asian. Anyway after I had a good experience, I decided to take my parents for lunch. Lunch was terrible. They were quick at getting an order and service was really quick. One of my favorite dishes was carried with a piece of sponge. I just cannot understand how a person who does service cannot notice that. It was shiny and big. Then after finishing meals, I was trying to catch a guy to ask for a bill. He did not even look at our tables and ignore. So I had to go to the desk for asking a bill. They did not even ask how was the service. It seems just so busy and waiting for this to the end. After this experience, I don’t think I would like to go again.

Very good food served in this restaurant. O got the opportunity to try their team which included a drink, a savoury snack and a dessert. Staff is professional. Location is very nice and unique.

Before you go: -book! Obviously. And they’ll need a pre copy of your paiement card they’ll send by email/text message link so they know you’re really gonna show up. -don’t need bow tie and a gown…casual smart works but don’t come with a hoodie (it’s a 3 stars Michelin and you’ll ramp up your experience by coming in dressing nice, promise) When your there: -just wait at the entrance desk upstairs (elevator), the hostess will take you to your table. -remember to take your time when you eat -the waiter/waitress will serve you the meal and explain thoroughly what’s in your plate -atmosphere inside was more like a casual business oriented setting than a chic white table clothe vibe…to me! -went for the 7 courses meal for 2 persons (birthday celebration) -chef made a roulée cookie cake with candle as a surprise (not on the menu but made from scratch!!!! How amazing!!) -had a glass of champagne and still water all throughout the dinner -Paid 277€ total. Worth it big time!!!

The food was delicious and inventive. The service was a little strange. The setting is delightful.

It is a high end restaurant. Located in a historical building where the atmosphere is almost magic and surreal. Located on the third floor of the building. Service is excellent. We picked the 5 courses menu ( it’s a surprise menu that the chef will prepare for you so no anticipations or info ). Each course is well explained. It is quite expansive ( for two people we paid about 270 euros ). The only negative note concerns smokers. To smoke you need to go 3 floors down and get out of the building ( the access is controlled). To get back in you stand in front of the entrance camera hoping that someone see you and let you back in. So smokers try not to smoke during your dinner lol
