Update with our best meal in ever.
The lady owner/chef was most welcoming and kind. She was friendly and service was prompt and courteous.
The service she provided today should be the standard going forward :)
Jjampong and house salad with home-made Korean mustard dressing was excellent.
Undeniably great jjampong and salad.
That’s all we need. 🙏🏻

Authentic Korean food.
No frills, just pure good soul food.
They provide good entreés, their salad with their home-made dressing with a hint of wasabi is just one of the best salad dressing I have ever had.
Their Jjampong ($16 before tax) is our favourite with smoky seafood umami in their broth.
Their Japchae ($15) is nice.
We ordered their seafood pancake for the first time and I’m disappointed with the burnt vegetables bits, the dough is just so thick and there’s not much to like so I don’t recommend this dish.
The service… has some room for improvement, the lady cashier could be more helpful. She seemed very disinterested and was not happy having us dine there at all.
The several times we were here last year, they had a nice waitstaff/cashier and he was checking in with us from time to time to make sure everything was okay.
Today, it was impossible to get her attention even though we were the only customers in the restaurant (and they were done with their take away orders).
All in all, we always return for their Jjampong, realiably good every single time, but I wish they bring back the male cashier from last year for improved service.
