Verdun Fried Chicken Spot Jack Le Coq Is Opening a Second Location in Mile End | Eater Montreal

"In the Plateau I’ve come across La Petite Dînette, a new Saint‑Denis spot that channels a 1950s jukebox‑equipped American‑diner aesthetic while serving food rooted in Vietnamese tradition — spring rolls, fried fish balls, and pho — alongside eclectic items like Korean pogos, a ramen shake, and poutine served in what looks like a Belgian waffle cone; most menu items top out at $8.95 and it’s open daily at 4186 Saint‑Denis." - Valerie Silva

Excellent restaurant! The owner takes care of his customers and takes the time to talk to them and advise them on their preferences. The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere! At last, a restaurant where we can hear ourselves speak! 100 % would recommend.

It’s amazing, the guy is so kindle and efficient in his work. I’ve ordered the litchi drink and the taste is really fresh and sweet 🤌🏼 I think that I’m going to visit often this place 🫶🏻.

Really funky place for a warming bowl of pho. The guy (boss?) seems to warm and friendly and was always with a big smile. I had a massive lunch already and was still quite full. To my pleasant surprise, they had a mini pho option, which hit the spot just fine. Great food, service, decor. Love to try the ramen shake nx time, whatever that is. That looks fun and different.

I stopped in for some Cogos to go and was not disappointed! Service was quick and friendly, the decor is adorable and the food was tasty + interesting. I tried three different kinds and got three different dipping sauces. Shared with a friend, it was a great snack / dinner. Will definitely be back to try some different menu items here.

Love this place! It is a small family business with a very cool vibe. Love the decor of the place, very 1950's era. Also, the food is amazing, generous portions and very friendly and caring staff. Every time I go, I ask for the Pho and it never disappoints.

Discovered this place by walking by on Saint Denis street. And it had a really nice 60s decorations and ambiance. So I went in to see there menu which is a Vietnamese cuisine. They have a very good non alcohol drinks menu. The rest of the menu is most the typical Vietnamese cuisine. I had tried there coconut Vietnamese coffee and it wasn't bad at all. This is a great place if you would like to hang out with friends.
