Restaurant Langwies

We booked this to have a quiet and peaceful place but unfortunately this didnt work out, there were multiple problems.|a) upon checkin the room we have been assigned had a bad stench|b) we got another room, but that one wasnt ready so we had to wait around again|c) the replacement room was a DOWNGRADE and very hot|d) we couldnt keep the windows open because the room faced the restaurant which was filled with drunk noisy people until 11pm|e) at 6am someone cleaned in the restaurant and made a lot of noise||The breakfast was very standard, the website suggests much more and better quality.||Overall all we got was a sorry, nothing was offered, and were charged a absurd price for basically receiving a night of bad sleep and general unhappiness.||From the many many hotels I stayed in the last months and my life this goes into the Top 5 Worst Experiences.

Great little hotel situated very close to the motorway. Very high standard of service and restaurant. |This was our second trip as we wanted to visit Salzburg for the day without taking our car into the city. The train station is beside the hotel. The receptionist organised our tickets with a city map for the next morning. It was all so easy and pleasant. 30minutes on the train and we were in central Salzburg. |Returning in the evening to a very good dinner served by professional and welcoming waiters was icing on the cake.

An exceptional place to stay. The staff are so helpful and professional, the restaurant a joy and location perfect for anyone wishing to visit Salzburg by train or just close to the motorway. |The concierge had train tickets and a map of the city waiting for us in the morning and after a good filling breakfast we boarded the train where the station is beside the hotel. 30min later we were in central Salzburg and spent a fabulous day sightseeing meandering around gardens, buildings and streets.

We've stayed many places in Europe but this is tops for quality and great values. Lovely people and restaurant and the longstay rooms 4 star clean and comfy with everything you need including a kitchen set up. Smoke free and quiet and calm.|Situated 15 klms south of Salzburg on the S3 train line in Bad Vigaun, Langwies is next door to the train station. Our room was on the corner closest but with the windows closed you barely notice the sound. AC is very good. |You can hop on the train or bus by walking 30 metres out the door. In Salzburg in 28 minutes. OOB S3 is 4.4 Euro for a senior with a Vorteilscard (ordered on line from OBB before we left Australia). |Langwies is only 1.5 hours away from Hallstatt and 30minutes to 1 hour from a variety of destination up the mountains and or down the train line into the Alps. Munich is a little over 2 hours away by train so 30 minutes to Salzburg then catch the DB RE05 train to Munich (use the Deutschland ticket and ride with no ticket for a month).||Langwies is a family highly competently run business which will not disapp0oint. It was far beyond our expectation and the longstay apartment are wonderful, generous and it was our home away from home for 5 weeks. Go here!

The hotel is nice and located in a quiet area with mountains around. Breakfast was Good but missing important things. The view from the room was beautiful but i noticed there are many rooms with balconies, unfortunately ours were not. The room is spacious and clean and warm, but i felt its an old fashioned. They have an open parking.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the staff could not do enough for us, The rooms were beautiful with a balcony that had wonderful views. The food was excellent, service was second to none. I would recommend it to everyone. Didn't have time to try the spa, but was told it was very good by another visitor. Would have no hesitation to go there again. The area is peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful place with perfect traditional food served in a modern style. Beautiful surroundings and outdoor playground for children. Friendly Staff and Management. A lot of different rooms to choose for a reasonable price. A lot of places to sit in the dining room and open air places as well. A lot of new cocktail, drinks, dishes (change a lot of times) to have everytime when you visit them new experiences. Surrounded by mountains and next to the train station. Big parking area around the hotel.

Lovely ambience and terrific attentive but unobtrusive service. The steaks are gorgeous. Tender and flavourful and with (and I seldom say this) a meaty tasting brown sauce. The food was not terribly expensive though the wines are pretty dear.
