"This stylish restaurant, part of the comfortable and tastefully designed Hotel Le White, is located right at the entrance of the village, facing the Dents du Midi mountain range. The decor here is a draw in itself; the seating is spread over two levels, with sleek modern furnishings complemented by warm reclaimed wood and quarry stone, creating a pleasing Alpine feel. The proprietor personally attends to the diners, while his partner manages the kitchen. Her French heritage is reflected in her dishes (be sure to leave room for dessert and try the classic rum baba), but she also incorporates international – especially Asian – influences, such as in her unique take on gyoza." - Michelin Inspector

We had the most amazing Christmas gastronomic experience at Restaurant Le 42. Together with our two teenage boys and little daughter, we had the chance to enjoy the Christmas menu and experience an explosion of tastes that are unforgettable! We will definitely do this again and thank you for such an amazing day! Thoroughly recommended!

Superb meal with great service. Our table of three shared a perfect egg, green salad, and butternut squash soup to start along with a bottle of Taittinger. For mains - we shared the entrecôte, 10 o’clock lamb stew, and duck confit with a bottle of cornalin (a standout Valais wine). Creme brûlée for dessert. Everything was perfectly cooked, the service was great, and the standouts of a marvelous meal were the egg & lamb dishes. We appreciated the fine service and beautiful atmosphere.

Despite it previously being a very high end restaurant this “modern” eaterie hasn’t understood that people are eating less meat. This is not a place for vegetarians, they offer nothing but fondue and even that is not as good as ones found in the main village restaurants, Le Nord being one such. I won’t be visiting again. A very disappointing experience

What a treat! Fresh ingredients selected with care, beautiful compositions, surprising, tasteful, clearly a master cook at work. We had a dinner for two in early January, shortly after the restaurant's opening, and any expectations we could have had were exceeded by miles. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, the service was friendly, efficient and warm, and we appreciated all the personal touches that clearly made this a project close to the owners' hearts. We hope this one will quickly make a name for itself - it deserves it!
