"It all starts with fine produce from the local land, mountain porcini or fish from the neighbouring lakes, which the chef comes out and proudly present to diners. He then turns it into delightful, fresh dishes, all the tastier for the unbeatable prices. A place that is quite simply comfortable in its own skin." - Michelin Inspector

le Cèpe

Helpful staff and lovely food. Sadly, forgot to take a photo of the mushroom soup but it was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Ordered the scallops risotto and a steak and potato dish, both were very delicious. The scallops risotto had a lovely hint of mushroom that was not overwhelming and the steak was very tender. Desserts were rather okay but well presented. However, must say that it is a bit on the pricier side for the size of the portions and quality of ingredients.

From the goose foie gras poêlée with a berry coulis and the foie gras medallions with brioche through the île flottante and the pear almond tart desserts, this was a terrific meal. The porcini (cèpe) mushroom cappuccino is a must try as an appetizer and they have an amazing wine list. The duck magret was quite good as were the fish dishes. Expect to pay handsomely for this great experience in an intimate setting but we thought it was worth it.

Le Cèpe restaurant offers a culinary experience that is truly memorable, featuring uniquely crafted dishes that are a must-try when in the region. However, locating the restaurant can be a challenge; you could skii to the Round Point in the village near Méribel, stop there, and walk for about 5 minutes. Don't miss the chance to indulge in the exquisite cep cappuccino (mushroom soup) and the tenderloin with cepes – they are exceptional. While the food is outstanding, the staff could enhance the overall experience by being a bit more gentle.

The food, wine and service here is lovely. We ordered two starters and two mains and only one main was slightly disappointing (the duck was served on a hot tray that meant that the duck was slightly overcooked by the time it was finished off). Definitely order wine and definitely order the cepe cappuccino - it's the best soup I've had to date. One tip: don't walk here from Meribel. Either get a bus to Altiport or take a taxi. We followed Google maps and ended up walking down the Altiport ski slope in pitch black......

As with most of the reviewers here - definitely one of the best restaurants in Meribel, if not THE best. Amazing presentation and brilliant rich flavours in every dish that we ordered. Service was impeccable and it made me realise that it is possible to get a perfect meal up on the mountain! The duck mains was creamy and delicious. The escargot entree was a surprise - who knew buttery, parsley, garlic and snails could taste so delectable?! The foie gras and the Boite de fromage was some of the best. The complementary digestif was massively needed at the end of this rich meal but so worth it. Yum yum yum.

Fine ingredients, Great Cook , friendly - professional- helpful staff . Excellent price / quality balance. I live in Courchevel 1850. Le Cepe can beat all slope restaurants of Courchevel . I love the small terrace on a mild sunny skiing day. Miss Kathie is a great Host

A bit confused on the experience as the food was really delicious and local-based which is always impressive (especially mushroom-based ice-cream - just fantastic). At the same time the service was not at the top: having waited for 45 minutes for the starter and then still being asked to leave quite directly with a mention that the second serve has arrived. When we shared a feedback that we had to wait a lot for the entree and now have to finish everything very fast the manager said IT’S NOT POSSIBLE. Well, yes, it’s possible, and it’s nicer to listen to the feedback. Hope this feedback will help.

Very strange experience overall, the staff strolling around and showing the foods felt unnatural and enforced. I had garlic butter snails for an entre and it was the highlight or my experience. We were a group of nine and had several different main courses that were all covered with this plain cream sauce that really overpowered the dishes. Disappointed after reading the reviews and experiencing this ourselves.
