"In this restaurant situated on the famous Promenades, chef Jacky Louazé has earned himself a loyal following. Diners come to enjoy a menu showcasing premium ingredients, particularly fish and shellfish: blue lobster, spicy cereals, citrus fruit; whole sea bass cooked in a Vallauris clay crust; turbot in semi-salted butter, Noirmoutier potatoes." - Michelin Inspector

Beautiful place, high quality service ans excellent food. First, I was welcomed with 5 various amuse-bouches, really nice! I decided to take menu gourmand: scallops&oysters tartar, lamb meat with cereals, apricots and dates, amazing choice of French cheeses and chocolate dessert. Every single meal were outstanding, thank you very much for this wonderful experience.

Everything was what one would expect at a Michelin-starred (2003) restaurant. Creative dishes, good quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, and overall a great culinary excellence with a substantial menu dégustation. We were celebrating our anniversary and a birthday; they took note of that and added a nice subtle touch to the dessert course 😀Class act!

One of the best meals in Europe out of 3 weeks of eating nonstop in Michelin restaurants . This restaurant deserves 2 Michelin stars as the food quality is amazing, the value for $ is incredible and the service is on point, the wine list is extensive and the cheese cart is to die for as is the the coffee menu offering 10-12 selections.I can’t say more! It is amazing must visit for true lovers of gastronomy and wine.

We had heard Le Foch was a great deal. We had heard the food was good. We went and were still stunned. First of all, the food is truly excellent. Almost every dish was an absolute hit. We enjoyed the food here more than we enjoyed far more expensive and storied restaurants in Paris. Second, the price is criminally low. Of course, we are anchored a bit too high having come from Paris, but we felt we were paying half as much as we should have for the meal. That said, the service is really mediocre. They do not have enough staff, and the speed and quality of service do not match the fine dining experience you'd expect. But still, absolutely 5 stars because the food and price are just out of this world.

My favourite restaurant in Reims! The Michelin star is well-deserved! We did a 5-course lunch menu. Absolutely delicious! Great service and great ambience. A must visit!

This is a genuine and true review and not one that’s disgruntled but one to serve as a warning to save you from a bad lifetime experience, time and money. Absolutely no accountability and acknowledgement from establishment. We were Pre-booked Le Foch by travel agent for my milestone 60th bday celebration. For 10 pax for a three course private bday dining and wine pairing. Huge red flag 🚩from the very beginning when I the bday boy was challenged by owner (Mature stern Female Boss) over why I don’t take fish but can have shell fish?! After she belittled me in French with typical French snobbery, she stomped off huffing and puffing as if I’ve committed a cardinal sin. The servers did not speak English other than a sweet young lady. We should have said something but did not want to come off as high maintenance Americans and ruin a special occasion. Meal started off with small stale French baguette (imagine stale bread in a Michelin Star restaurant) served over an upside down “pretentious” perforated bowl that couldn’t hold bread nor butter. NO explanation of wine pairing. There was one bottle of wine rationed for the nine of us (one didn’t drink). It was more of wine tasting than wine pairing. Main course consist of fish and veal. Those ordered veal were all served Rare cooked meat even though cooking specification shared during order. Half of us left uneaten raw portions of veal on our plate. You’d think the chef or stern woman boss would have questioned about uneaten meal?! DIDN’T CARE! To add insult to injury, plate were cleared and out comes 6 half dollar size Olive Oil Starbucks coffee cake. Please bear in mind this was my 60th bday with 10 guests from all parts of the world. No bday candles and I had to cut the coffee cakes into 10 portions the size of Hersey Kisses to serve everyone. At that point everyone was tired and shocked by the ill treatment and mediocre pre fab raw meals that we were served. Of course no one came to top up water or at least to hand me the bill. Once bill paid, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The last nail to the coffin was that I was interrogated on how many umbrellas we all carried into the restaurant by the stern boss lady, even though there were excess hotel logo-ed umbrellas left in the rack. For the sake of argument I dashed out in the rain in wait of our van. Not to be precious or anything but this traumatic, embarrassing and despicable experience is forever cemented into all of us as the worst bday celeb ever. Our travel agent highlighted our dissatisfactions to the restaurant but fell to deaf ears. Please please try other restaurants ie Le Millénaire who values your patronage and offered an unforgettable dining experience. Lastly, shame on Michelin for even associating this establishment with a Star! Thank you for reading!

For a break in my Michelin Stars Challenge in Paris (and 3 stars in France, follow me for all the reviews), I went to Reims. I wanted to try two local references (the third stars is coming later). The establishment. What’s interesting here? You get a feeling it’s the establishment of choice for a Michelin star night for a local. Of course you have 2 and 3 stars around. But if you want « just » a one star, with a family feeling, with a good ratio of locals. It’s the place. The manager who is also the wife of the chef and the wine expert, is the spirit of the room. The cuisine is quite personal. The chef expresses himself, but without being too present. He has a true personality. Bottom line, you won’t go wrong food wise. The crowd is the upscale outside of Paris crowd, but the food and the service makes you easily for this and spend a good time. Understandably a solid one star

Yelp
We had a pretty good dinner here. The highlights were: * Blue lobster, tomato water, and basil sorbet * Sea bass cooked on the skin, chanterelles, gnocchi, and Coteaux de Layon * Fig pavlova * Opera cake with arabica coffee ice cream * More miniature desserts to end the meal! The lamb from Lozère, goat cheese ravioli, and zucchini flower dish was just okay, but I have found that France in general does not prepare meats as well as the U.S. At the end of the meal, just when I thought I couldn't stuff more food into my stomach, the staff brought out more miniature desserts...which I managed to somehow squeeze into me. Did I mention there were more miniature desserts after the actual dessert course yet?!

Yelp
Amazing! Food and ambience. Service was very good as well. They speak limited English.

Yelp
We made a reservation where they stated it would be 400 Euro if we didn't show up. We showed up 5 minutes early and they said our reservation had been cancelled. When we showed our reservation confirmation she said that the email stated it was cancelled. She tried to look at the email and realized it didn't say cancelled. So then she showed us her computer. Why make a reservation if they don't stick to it? Don't even bother.

Yelp
The best lunch deal in Champagne! Okay, it's a 1 Michelin Star restaurant, so it's not cheap, but very reasonably priced for the quality of food. The service was precise and efficient, which was important to us as we had a transport reservation. I ordered the 5 course chefs menu, and wish I had taken a picture of the menu as well as the food, as the menu changes. The lobster and fish dishes were both delicious, and the dessert was a flaky pastry with raspberries and cream. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
It was a very busy place but had a nice atmosphere. We started out with the seafood platter that had snails, oysters, and lobster. We also had the foie gras which was great. I had fish with vegetables. It was cooked great. The dessert was a lemon meringue. It was fabulous. The negative was that our server was not very helpful and she seemed like she was brand new. We tried to be patient but it took almost 4 hours for dinner. We all had to get up and move around at some point in the night. 4 hours is too long!

Yelp
Outstanding cuisine for a relatively moderate price. This is your perfect introduction to classical French cuisine. I would recommend to anyone who is eager to be introduced to real French cuisine. For a one star Michelin it is really excellent and refined, service is great as well. Accompanied with a nice glass of champagne from the local vineyards, a great experience.

Yelp
We chose the restaurant due to Guide Michelin Rating (1 Star). As part of a trip to the champagne region we ordered a 5-course menu with pairing champagnes in advance. When arriving the welcome of the (female) maitre was rather cold and desinterested. Unfortunaltely no one was able or willing to speak English. Out of the five pre-ordered champagnes only two were in fact served. Instead the courses were served so quickly that we assumed to leave the restaurant within 45 Minutes. The waiters seemed to be very unmotivated and ignorant. The food quality was far below the level of one star (Guide Michelin). Some ingredients had supermarket quality, some courses were over- others underseasoned. All of the courses were as spiritless as the waiters. At the end we were happy to leave early and save money for the not served champagnes. Never again, Le Foch! It was disgusting! Fortunately we visited Les Crayers and L'Assiette champenoise the following evenings and we were very happy there.

Yelp
Excellent. From start to finish. Every plate is a discovery of colors and flavors. Fantastic mix of perfection and innovation. Strongly recommend.

Yelp
Very happy with this one. You can choose between set menu options or a la carte. We chose the cheapest set menu (5 courses at 51 euro each) not because it was cheapest but because it seemed the most interesting. So between 2 people this meant 10 different gastronomic creations - each enjoyable, and overall very very filling. I think the price is pretty good for what we got and given the 1 star rating. Service was good - they made one mistake for me and were appropriately apologetic (not common in France). Massive wine selection if you know your wines (I don't!), with prices marked up a little as can be expected for a restaurant. A few recommendations - the duck tartare, deer fillet and the pineapple dessert. And of course avoid the foie gras if you don't agree with animals being force fed with hoses down their throats.
