Le Jardin de Bellevue

"The comfortable and elegant setting of this century-old building has been rejuvenated by the recent arrival of Élise and Paul Fabuel. He is the young chef who appeared on French TV's Objectif Top Chef, as well as completing stints at À Table in Metz and À l'Échevin in Colmar. Here, he serves up an attractive seasonal menu, eg a medley of pumpkin, roast chestnuts, Iberian ham and porcini, or turbot a la plancha, radishes, courgettes with mint and sauce vierge." - Michelin Inspector

Great culinary experience. The bread is home made , the pastry too...very sophisticated menu . We enjoyed every bit of our dinner.

Our large group was warmly welcomed for lunch with a short notice reservation. The food was exceptional and our young children were kindly accommodated with smaller portions. We wish to come again!

Good service. The meals are delicious. But I don't expect anything less from Paul the Chef. Always a pleasure over the years.

Very nice and cozy place. I've been there several times and the staff is kind and made me feel like home. Great choice of wines, even from other countries.

Yelp
After reading so many positive reviews from Yelp and TripAdvisor, my expectations were high for our anniversary dinner there. First of all, making a phone reservation was most difficult. Took 8 calls over 2 days to eventually speak to someone and book a table. The food and wines were average and seriously overpriced for the quality. No seasoning (when not highly salty), no surprise in ingredients nor textures, oily yellowish sauces that looked like cheap melted butter. Wines were ok, but not matching the food so well - Côtes de Bourg on veal ribs is a poor association. Sweets were the cold comfort in our meal. The vanilla and rhubarb mousse was good, so was the strawberry salad. All this was clearly not worth the 150 euros they asked for. Not sure the so many good reviews are accurate... If you want a fine quality dinner in the region, I do recommend to look for alternatives in Metz or Nancy, that have plenty of places where the quality will be much higher for the same price.
