"The restaurant of the National Assembly ofQuébecis on the first floor of this historical building, accessed via a superb solid wood staircase. Surrounded by some 20 columns, the large dining room done out in a traditional style is impressive. In the kitchen, Chef Sébastien Laframboise exclusively uses local ingredients fromQuébec(honey from the rooftop beehives, vegetables from the establishment's urban garden). The result is modern cuisine, sometimes with hints of Asia." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing lunch experience to pair with entry to the Quebec Parliament; a dining experience that definitely comes across as having old world charm and professionalism. Table service is efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Between four of us we were able to taste a good sampling of the entire menu and we were all pleased with everything we ordered. Vegetables and herbs for the dishes are grown in a garden in front of the parliament building!

Where else in the world can you dine inside the seat of power? Class and classic all rolled into one. You get to walk the halls of politics before dining literally in the heart of the building. Food is both tasty and well prepared, the staff friendly and very accommodating. The wine pairings are local and delicious. The dining room is opulence personified. Totally worth a visit, but a word of warning, because it is the operating parliment you'll have to check in and bring photo id to get through airport style security, but fear not the staff and police are professional and efficient so there will be no drama getting in but there are a few extra steps compared to booking a normal restaurant.

The highlight of my Quebec trip. It’s not everyday that I get to dine in a Parliament Restaurant. Everything was perfect. Need reservation.

We discovered this gem along with the other parliament tours of the library and legislative halls. The dining room is reminiscent of Greek architecture while being incredibly upscale. Having been to my fair share of corporate banquets around Europe, this experience exceeds those. We paid $50 for a 3-course tasting menu that would be priced at $80+ in any other restaurant. But combined with the atmosphere of being in a historic building that is still active and relevant today, the meal is presented with gravitas. This is unmissable for anyone visiting quebec city for the first time. I might come here every time I visit!

We ate here while on holiday from England. The food was absolutely amazing and incredible value for fine dining. My wife had the Discovery set menu which was only $52 for three courses and lobster for mains!!!!! I had Guinea Fowl in an exquisite mushroom sauce. A must visit for tourists and residents alike.

We had lunch there as we had just finished our visit and it was raining. I completely recommend having lunch here before or after a visit. It was the best meal we had in a while. First, the setting is amazing. It is a beautiful room at the heart of the national assembly of Quebec. Staff are efficient and really friendly. The entrance of the day was a mushroom mousse. It was presented superbly, had a lots of different textures and tastes. Absolutely stunning. The picanha was really tasty and so we're the deserts. It was the best Paris Brest I ever had.

What a discovery!!! We've been trying many restaurants in Québec but this one is in the top5. And you get to visit the parlement ☺️ Food is amazing, and the atmosphere is also very impressive! The spring discovery menu is awesome and as a bonus, you get to try Patrice Demers's daily desserts

We heard about this from our tour guide and we’re so glad we went back for lunch. It was excellent! Very tourist friendly, excellent food options and great value. The dining room alone is an experience. Remember to reserve in advance!

Yelp
VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE REVIEW Can I put 7 Michelin stars? A little treasure to find in beautiful Quebec city. Opened only Mon to Fri from 11h to 14h30, this restaurant represents class itself. First of all, my mother who insisted we go, called them to see if there was anything they could adapt for my different intolerances. They were so courteous with her through the whole organization process. My mother is an elder and she had many questions and took time to write everything down. They were so amazing at taking the time to ask their chef and returning a phone call with a positive answer. The day of, I was so inspired by all their protocoles and the manners that the staff, from entrance to exit, were demonstrating. manners that unfortunately society has lost at large. Everyone was smiling and of service. We had the chance to be served by Ginette, a wonderful soul who has worked their for 49 years! Class, beautiful and what a smile! The food? Yes I am getting to it. THE ABSOLUTELY BEST refined vegan cuisine I never had. Tey created a 4-5 dish menu just for my needs. This special attention truly touched me. This is only the second time that the chefs and servers take the time to prepare and or present each item to me. Often we can feel like a weight for these restaurants, but here, they took the time. And the explosions of flavours that juts bring you to heaven! And when I mentioned how touch I was by all this specific detailed attention, Ginette offered to get the chef out. Finally the sous-chef came, but I was so pleased to be bale to thank him personally. Finally, little things to know to enjoy completely your experience: -Yes you might see some Ministers, but they are not necessarily there everyday. No one was here the day we went (a Friday). Don't go for the ministers, go for the gastronomic experience. -Because it is at the parliament, there is a whole security procedure to go through so make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your rsvp time. -Parking is a hassle. Streets or behind the building there are a couple of paid Public parkings. I paid 20$ at the congress center but someone told me they generally park at the Concord for 9$ and walk. -Clothing wise: there is no more dressing codes like before. We saw tourists with jeans and t-shirts. -If you have special needs, please call before, to make sure the chef can prepare. Enjoy this beautiful hidden treasure!

Yelp
I enjoy tours of capitals but what elevated this tour was an amazing lunch at the end of it. We visited on a Monday so the government wasn't in session. My husband and I along with many others chose to eat in the restaurant. What a treat! French cuisine in an opulent atmosphere. We shared the escargot appetizer. I had the special of the day which was pasta with lobster. My husband had the mushroom tart. Everything was served elegantly in bite sized pieces. The dresser looked good but we didn't have room.

Yelp
This hidden gem is inside the Parliament Building. My husband and I went to Quebec on our honeymoon and we heard about this restaurant from the tour guide who gave us a sleigh ride. The room felt like you were in the middle of a Beauty and Beast scene. The set up was fancy and the pricing was reasonable. There weren't a lot of people there during lunch time and our server was very friendly. I recommend the vegetable pea soup--it was delicious!

Yelp
I really felt we had wandered into another world. The yelper who compared this to the set of Beauty and the Beast was right. In this world, everyone has good manners and time for a civilized three-course meal at noon. The food is wonderful. The herbs come from the garden outside and much of the fish, game, cheese, and wine is from Quebec. The service is so gracious; primarily French-speaking but bilingual. English menus are available. I get that tourists do not typically want to punch a hole in the middle of a day of sightseeing for a leisurely gourmet meal but, if you can manage it, this is very worthwhile. Seeing the inside of the parliament building was great. Be sure to bring ID and go through airport-style security.

Yelp
I stopped by the Parlementaire after touring the stunning Quebec parliament building. The restaurant is situated on the second floor, in a large beautiful room, with gold pillars and 20 feet ceilings. The menu is relatively large, with a selection of appetizers and main courses, most of which are made with local québécois ingredients. I had the duck for $20, which was served with pea soup and coffee. The duck was surprisingly delicious. It was a large portion of tender, perfectly cooked meat, served with fresh veggies. I also had some pretty good local wine. I had the chocolate cake for dessert, which was also pretty good. Overall, the restaurants on the upper town of Quebec City are pretty touristy, so I highly recommend the Parliamentaire.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant because I heard from a friend that u can have breakfast in the parliament building. It is only about 10min walk from the centre of Old Quebec city. The restaurant is filled with Quebec decor. Before you step into the building, they will ask to scan your bag. And make sure u bring your ID because they check it and give u a visitor tag. We went to the restaurant, and surprisingly there was no one else except us! The breakfast menu is around 10 to 13 dollar. I ordered a ham and cheese omlette ($11) plus a home baked bean ($2.75), it comes with free coffee, a toast and orange juice. My friend ordered the '1974' menu( $13). Both are good but not extrodinaire. The portion is not small so it definately filled us up. The waitress is very nice, she doesn't speak too well of english but she patiently helped us taken our photos 3 times. We figured that we don't visit this city often, plus when do we ever get a chance to have food in a government building? Plus after breakfast we can go for free guided tour. It's one stone two birds. They have lunch menu which main entree runs from $17 and up. Anyone wants to visit Quebec City should really give this restaurant a try.
