Restaurant Le Quai | Tain l'Hermitage

A truly exceptional restaurant. The view is great, the staff are wonderful and the food is amazing value for innovative takes on classical dishes. A destination experience!

My friends and I enjoyed lunch there when we visited Tain-l’Hermitage. A commune located in the Rhone Valley region of France, this location is known for its vineyards and wine production. The food is excellent and they arrange just like a special meal, especially flavorful wine and fish with special sauce. Interior decoration is spacious and charming. Recommend to get there.

A must go! And we will go back! Such a delicious meal. Both my husband and I had the menu, starters were delicious and interesting in taste, the meat was a delight and we then enjoyed our cheese. All this with a delicious bottle of red wine from cave de Tain, near by. The staff were also very kind, smiley and attentive. Thank you! Highly recommend! (must reserve if you want a table)

I couldn't believe there's such a great quality of food being served in this small city. Not only the food taste fantastic at reasonable price, buy also the lady owner is so friendly and helpful in arranging winery visit. Situated on 2nd floor over seeing an old vineyard along a river, the view from the restaurant undoubtedly is very impressive and enhanced by the beauty of old suspended bridge. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in town.

Excellent. We were seated on the terrace, great views. The food was excellent, we ate here two nights in a row because it was that good. Well priced.

Good food and the wine recommendations were on point. We were satisfied with the service up until ordering desserts, coffee and more wine and they forgot about our drinks order. It took a while to get anyone's attention to ask to get served the rest of our order. They were apologetic when they realised they had forgotten about it, we just wished it would have been easier to get hold of someone.

Happy that we have chosen to have dinner here. Perfect location, service and food. The was a small table available for us but it is better to make a reservation.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in this town. The food is excellent. They offer tasty specials in addition to the regular fare as well as a nice wine list. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is very good.

Main course fish was not fresh at all. The way of cooking was terrible. Beef flank tastes horrible. The worst food experience in France, ever.

I really love and appreciate Le Quai. I went here twice last week and the total experience both times was fabulous. The staff were very nice. I went on my birthday and it was crowded without a reservation and they fit us in, which was so nice. The food was excellent. The first night I had the Rossini burger.It's more like a steak sandwich with grilled foie gras. It was delicious and a very creative idea. The second night I had their Ribs special. And it was special! They cam right of the bone and the sauce and Lyonnaise potatoes made the meal even better. For the desserts I tried the profiteroles one night and the lemon tart the next. Both were out of this world good. Finally the prices were fair. I highly recommend giving Le Quai a try. You won't be disappointed.

For the ideal lunch next to rhone and vineyards.... On the border of ardeche/drome. If you like Pata Negra and Hamburger with foie gras ...this is the place.
