Le Strasbourg

"Originally a farm mechanic from the former East Germany, Lutz Janisch was trained by chef Jean Albrecht (at the restaurant Au Vieux Couvent in Rhinau). His appetising cuisine is contemporary and generous, and has a variety of inspirations (Italian: home-made strozzapreti to accompany fried squid stuffed with prawns and courgettes; Japanese: quail leg tempura and a roast quail fillet kebab; and French: crêpes Suzette and Grand Marnier ice cream). He often uses local ingredients (trout from Eguelshardt, vegetables from Sturzelbronn etc). There are also guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

We had both been looking forward to this meal and we weren't dissapointed. The set menu of local and fresh ingredients (menu du marche) was delicious, beautiful to look at and very creative. The accompanying wines were also very good. A very lovely and memorable experience!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 night and enjoyed our stay. Our room 'Curcurma' had a view onto the main street and was newly refurbished. The bed was comfortable, the WIFI was brilliant and free and there was enough space. Two small negative points were a very small TV and a smell from the severs from the shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best bit was breakfast, I have often been disappointed in France from their pain au chocolats, croissants and baguettes even though they really should be the experts, and at least this hotel did not let me down! They were delicious! One thing, be careful with the parking as you need to pay outside the hotel! You don't want to get a fine....

Not often that I give a 5 star rating but le Strasbourg has earned it. Diner there has been a real treat, every course of our 3 course day menu was more then perfect and the 5 (or was it 6?) amuses in between made the evening into an unexpected feast. The rooms were nice and clean, not big but great... The staff was very friendly and helpful in any way they could. If you ever have the chance to dine and stay over at at le Strasbourg I would say DO!

A gem of a find for the foodie in you. Different tasting menus to choose from in a variety of price points. Would come back and try a different menu.

What an amazing find. Wonderful food and helpful staff. Loved every second. The thought that had gone into each course was much appreciated

Yelp
Went here with my co-workers because we wanted to experience fancy fine dining in France. We each ordered the multiple course meal special with wine. It was pricey, but we all decided earlier in the week we were going to go for it lol. The waiter started us off with some crackers with toppings and some bread. Next came out with some delicious caviar and tare tare. Next was some savory whipped type something. Next was some foie gras with scallops and truffle it was good and buttery. Next up was some delicious fish, mashed potatoes, lamb chops, and some sort of magical cold dessert. We ended the night with some strong excellent coffee. The experience was awesome. I didn't understand a lick of French and don't really know exactly what I ate, but what I do know is the food was great!
