I went here for dinner on the recommendation of the proprietor of the vineyard I was staying at. I had a great experience with great food and great wine. I had a bottle of a Santenay premier cru from next to the vineyard of one I have had and enjoyed at home, and it was exquisite.
The wine list is substantial, and includes at least two dozen bottles just from the Santenay area around the village, with many many more wines both local and from other regions. They also have a few decent wines by the glass.
The menu is rather small, which in my opinion is a good thing because the few items on it are usually exceptionally good. I started with their own foie gras, which was both delicious and a sizeable quantity. It's rare that I am ever served enough foie gras to be satisfied, but I was here.
For a main course I had scorpionfish, which was delicately prepared with smoked salmon in a way that accentuated the flavor of the fish without overpowering it.
Dessert was the chocolate fantasy... need I say more? I then finished off the meal with a glass of Pommard. Overall a great meal!
