Le Vivier

"In this restaurant located in a town that is a mecca for antiques dealers, diners are in good hands! Talented chef Romain Gandolphe brings delicacy and subtlety to his carefully crafted dishes, with a focus on both flavours and textures. Sit in the contemporary dining space with an inviting decor, or on the terrace overlooking the River Sorgue and its lush green banks – a real feast for the eyes. Attentive service and an interesting selection of regional wines." - Michelin Inspector

We had the menu du marché and it was one of the best and most creative meals of my life. Everything was truly exceptional from the food to the service to the setting to the cocktails. It’s basically six different rounds of food and the value is great as well. Merci beaucoup!

I was a but let down by the restaurant. The food was beautiful but laked depth or much flavour. There was a mothers day menu and that was the only option. The courses came out 15/ 20 min apart. For one person it was a 3.5 hour meal. The ingredients were fresh. The steak was so incredibly grisly and tough to chew - was a shame. The fish soup, I almost didn't finish, even though it was so small. The vitello tonato was awesome

Amazing culinary experience in the great 1 star michelin reataurant. Amazing wine as well. Highly recommended. We took the 6 course menu offer and it was well worth it.

Very tasty Michelin star restaurant located on the side of a small river. FOOD -octopus was visually pleasing with many colors in the plate. It was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing in the tarte. A very special starter which I enjoyed every bite of. -the duck main was extremely tasty. We did three Michelin restaurants in 3 days with 3 ducks and this was the best one we had. -the dorade was good, less wow but the sauce with it was delicious. -i enjoyed the fact you can go tasting menu or A La Carte which gives you flexibility -my only criticism is that the menu is quite small STAFF/SERVICE Bottom-line: I didn’t feel like a valued customer. Perhaps it’s because they have too many tables, perhaps it’s because staff don’t care enough but it felt like the bare minimum was done. I’d expect more personalised service for a Michelin star restaurant. Every time I asked for more water or more olive oil, it took quite some time to arrive, if it even arrived as the waiters sometimes forgot. Staff spoke good English though and I liked their casual attire, smart but white trainers which was cool. ATMOSPHERE Quite romantic as it’s dark on the terrace in the evening. It can get noisy depending where you are sat. Clearly the nicest tables are on the river bank. CONCLUSION: great food, beautiful restaurant but service needs to be a little more Michelin worthy

Second visit in a year, service impeccable, food well presented and inventive. Our table of eight was very happy indeed.

Just came back from this amazing restaurant. What can I say? Everything was absolutely perfect! The food, the service, the river that flows behind the terrace we were sitting in, the generosity of so many complimentary dishes, the exquisite dishes... that what made our evening so wonderful!

So happy I was able to be fit in as a walk-in for dinnertime. Beautiful location and walk to the restaurant from the center. Kind staff- the manager even gave me a lift to the hotel as I was so jet lagged and tired- thank you! My favorite dish was the refreshing sea bass and cucumber- fun presentation that looked like a jellyfish, and perfect for warmer weather! Service was great and the dishes were creative and tasty. I loved the clear teapot with herbs that came with the cheese. The cheese I think I need to get used to- much earthier than I’m used to and for some reason was a bit stiff and cold as if it was sitting in the fridge- maybe it’s a French thing! A very pleasant evening and dinner.

Yelp
This is a fantastic restaurant. Don't skip this if you have a chance. The building is unremarkable (I'm being kind; I could say ugly). But inside, it's transformed. Brilliant, simple, clean modern design is both exciting and soothing. The location is right on the river and I'd guess in the summer sitting on the deck with a glass of wine is pretty fabulous. The food was stellar and for the quality well-priced. We all had the Marche Menu--three courses for 30E. The starter was a amazing scallop carpaccio with sea urchin, salad, some crisps; the plat was a deconstructed duck breast, with some potatoes, mushrooms, and a few other things--amazing taste and lovely to look at too; the dessert was (and this is going to sound odd) a chestnut cake with marinated/carmelized celery. Sounds weird, tasted great. Throw in an amuse bouche and some cookies at the end and for the price of an extra-large meat lovers' pizza back in California, you can have a pretty incredible meal. I'll be thinking about this day for a while.

Yelp
This is a wonderful restaurant. Very creative dishes. My wife and I ate lunch there today. It's situated along the picturesque Sorge river where we enjoyed a glass of champagne with innovative snacks. The entres were served in the main dining room by an accomplished and knowledgeable staff. Each dish was carefully explained. It started to rain heavily and we were facing a long wet walk back to our car, but Patrick the manager was good enough to offer us a ride. We would definitely return.

Yelp
Restaurant in unbelievable. Went with friends for lunch and we all ordered the 3 course meal. We each ordered different items and had a wonderful meal. Food and atmosphere was outstanding. Would recommend visiting and spending several hours enjoying the food. Simply loved it.

Yelp
Excellent meal, the tapas starter was dynamite, the desert sublime, the service unbeatable/. Only one criticism, the main, cod, was too salty, and too complicated. Less would have been more here, it was just trying too hard. But for the price, this truly is exceptional cooking. We had the 54 euro menu, you can easily spend 35 elsewhere and be very disappointed, ,so go, its well worth it.
